Ship the Ticket, Not Just the Meeting Notes

"I'll file a ticket for that" is one of the most common sentences in a standup and one of the easiest promises to lose track of. Until now.
With Otter’s Jira AI Chat Connector, meeting outcomes can flow into Jira automatically, and Otter AI Chat can pull live Jira context into any conversation. This means the gap between "we discussed it" and "it's tracked" gets a lot smaller.
How it works
Otter now talks to Jira in both directions. Pull Jira context into your meetings by asking Otter AI Chat whether a bug from yesterday's call already has a ticket or what the status is on something raised three sprints ago. Then send meeting outcomes back the other way by pushing action items and decisions into Jira the moment the call wraps, instead of waiting for someone to manually create tickets.
Where teams will benefit from it most:
- Standups: Catch untracked bugs and open items before they slip by checking Jira status against what was actually said, all without leaving Otter.
- Sprint planning: End a planning call with tickets already created, not a to-do list of tickets someone still has to make.
- Handoffs between teams: Confirm a commitment made in a meeting actually turned into a tracked ticket, so alignment doesn't depend on a follow-up message to double-check.
The bigger idea
Work discussed out loud and work tracked in a system have always been two different records, kept in sync by whoever remembers to do it. This connector treats them as one continuous thread: what gets said in a meeting becomes what gets tracked in Jira, without a manual step in between.
