How many times have you hung up a call and thought, “dang, I forgot to ask about budget,” or I “totally forgot to ask that candidate about their notice period”?

Yeah. Us too. That's exactly why we built Live Assist.

Live Assist is the first real-time AI coaching agent that joins your calls and quietly feeds you exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. Right there on screen, visible only to you. Not a recap after the fact. Not a scorecard your manager reviews next week. Live, in the room, while it still matters.

Here's how to put it to work.

1. Build your agent

Everything starts in Otter’s Agent Builder. Think of it as coaching your coach: you tell Live Assist what a great call looks like for you and your team, and it learns the pattern.

Feed it whatever you've already got: playbooks, SOPs, old call transcripts, competitive battlecards, onboarding docs. No need to write anything from scratch. Live Assist pulls from what your team already knows and turns it into a live playbook.

Sales team? Build one for discovery calls. Recruiting? Build one for structured interviews. Running weird internal syncs that only make sense to your team? Build one for that too. Agent Builder is open-ended on purpose. The best use cases are probably ones we haven't thought of yet.

2. Let it join the call, automatically

Once your agent's ready, you don't have to do anything. Live Assist joins your calls on its own, no matter where they're happening: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or right inside the Otter desktop app.

No extra tab. No separate app to babysit. It just shows up.

3. Glance, don't read

Mid-call, you'll see small tip cards pop up. It might be the next question to ask, the point you're about to forget, or just a reminder. These are built to be glanced at, not read like a script. Think sticky note, not teleprompter.

And they're for your eyes only. Nobody else on the call sees them.

4. Check things off as you go

Live Assist tracks your objectives live, so you always know what's covered and what's still hanging out there. No more scrambling at minute 25 wondering if you actually asked about timeline.

5. Connect it to the tools you already live in

Live Assist plugs into things like Claude and Salesforce, so it's not operating in a vacuum,  it's pulling context from your actual stack and can push info back out when the call's done.
