Frequently Asked Questions
My colleagues and I already have Otter accounts. Can we switch to Business?
Yes! Just log in to your account, go to Settings, and select “Upgrade to Business”. Follow the prompts and you’ll be set.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit and debit cards on the Otter.ai website, as well as in-app purchases billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Can I pay with PayPal?
Not yet — but we’re actively considering adding PayPal as a payment option in the future.
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes, we offer a 20% discount on Otter Pro Monthly and Otter Pro Annual plans for individual students and teachers using an email address ending with .edu. The discounted prices are as follows:
Otter Pro Annual: $6.67 USD per month (billed $79.99 annually)
Otter Pro Monthly: $13.59 USD per month
To subscribe:
1. Sign up for Otter Basic (or login) using an email address ending with .edu (e.g., john.smith@stanford.edu).
2. After you’ve signed into your Otter account, click your name in the top left, and then click the “Upgrade plan” link.
3. Click the “Student & Teacher Discount” link towards the bottom of the page, just below the Pro plan description.
