The Otter Referral Program (“The Program”) allows Otter Customers to earn promotional credits or obtain access to Otter Pro Lite service (“Referral Rewards”) by referring friends to Otter. To participate, Otter Customers must agree to these terms and Otter Terms of Service. Capitalized terms that are not defined here have the same meaning defined in the Otter Terms of Service.
Otter Customers can earn Referral Rewards if: (i) a referred friend clicks on their referral link; and (ii) the referred friend performs a Qualifying Action (as defined below).
The referring Otter Customers will be credited with the Referral Rewards specified for each type of the Qualifying Action in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials after the completion of the Qualifying Action. A referral invitation may include offers for up to two types of Qualifying Actions: a Qualifying Account Creation and a Qualifying Pro Plan Subscription(collectively, “Qualifying Actions”). If the referred friend completes a Qualifying Account Creation by creating a valid Otter account that complies with our Terms of Service, the referring Otter Customers will receive the Referral Rewards amount specified for the Qualifying Account Creation, if any. If the referred friend completes a Qualifying Pro Plan Subscription by subscribing to a monthly or annual Otter Pro plan the referring Otter Customers will receive the Referral Rewards specified for the Qualifying Actions if any. A referring Otter Customers can earn multiple Referral Reward amounts if the referred friend completes more than one type of Qualifying Action.
The maximum Referral Reward that can be earned per Otter Customers will be 10,000 minutes total in respect of minutes and 12 months of access to Otter Pro Lite service in respect of access to Otter Pro Lite service made by referred friends unless indicated otherwise in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials.
Referral Program rewards are not available to users of Otter Business
Qualifying Account Creation and a Qualifying Pro Plan Subscription
A Qualifying Action must comply with the requirements indicated in the referral invitation, accompanying promotional materials, Otter website, or Otter mobile application for that type of action.
The Qualifying Account Creation must comply with our Terms of Service and the referred friend must complete the email confirmation step. The Qualifying Pro Plan Subscription must be subscribed and paid for via the Otter platform, and the referred friend must complete the 1st billing cycle of the subscription before the referring Otter Customers can receive Referral Rewards. A subscription will not be considered a Qualifying Pro Plan Subscription, and therefore no Referral Rewards will be earned, if the referring Otter Customers is the referred friend or if the reservation is canceled at any time.
The Referral Rewards will be automatically redeemed on the date of the referred friends’ Qualifying Action date. The Referral Rewards will expire 12 months from the redemption date.
Referral Rewards may not be earned by creating multiple Otter Accounts. Referral Rewards accrued in separate Otter accounts may not be combined into one Otter account.
If for any reason you believe that there is a discrepancy regarding your balance of Referral Rewards, please contact us. Otter may require you to submit additional information in order to make a determination regarding your balance. All decisions regarding your balance will be final and at Otter’s sole discretion.
You are responsible for any Tax consequences if any, that may result from your redemption or use of Referral Rewards. Where applicable, Otter may be required to account for VAT on any services for which the Referral Rewards are redeemed.
Referrals should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. Referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites, or Wikipedia). Otter Customers are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. Otter Customers are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral links.
Referred friends who have signed up using a valid referral link will also receive the reward in the form of one month access to Otter Pro Lite service with 300 minutes per month limit indicated in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials. The access to Otter Pro Lite service may not be transferred to another person, exchanged for cash, or combined with other Otter referral programs or incentives.
Otter reserves the right to any remedy, including cancellation of your account or access, if fraud, tampering, violations of these terms or Otter’s Terms of Service or Payments Terms of Service, or technical errors are suspected. Void where prohibited.
A referred friend may only use one referral link. If a referred friend receives referral links from multiple Otter Customers, only the Otter Customers associated with the referral link actually used by the referred friend will receive Referral Reward.
The Program may not be combined with other Otter referral programs or incentives. If a referred friend receives referral links from multiple Otter referral programs, preference will be given to payment via the Host Referral Program, voiding eligibility from The Program.
If any provision in these terms is held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Otter may suspend or terminate the Program or a user’s ability to participate in it at any time for any reason.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts or remove Referral Rewards if we notice any activity that we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of the Otter Terms of Service. We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.
The scope, variety, and type of services and products that you may obtain by redeeming Referral Rewards can change at any time.
We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these terms, we will post the modification on the Otter.ai website, applications, or services, which are effective upon posting. Continued participation in the Program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
