Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage TechCrunch editor in chief Matthew Panzarino.
Hello everyone. Welcome to day two of TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2018. We had an excellent day yesterday. The crowd was all the way to the back for a lot of panels on both this stage in the next stage, which was very encouraging. It's been a long time programming this so it's always gratifying to see that you're enjoying it
Today. We also have an amazing amazing day we're going to start off BMW is going to launch something it's a worldwide exclusive you're gonna see it here first. We also have a conversation with Ben Horowitz later from Andreessen Horowitz, and then a conversation with Doug Leone from Sequoia. So two of the top investors in the world. Priscilla Chan will talk to us about what they're doing at Chan Zuckerberg initiative.
We're also going to talk to Whitney Wolfe Herd from Bumble. We're going to talk to Steve Case and Reid Hoffman so a lot of great conversations that are going to happen. And then of course, Dara Khosrowshahi from Uber is going to be here to talk about the current state of Uber and how it's how it's come over the last year that he's been in charge there.
We're also going to talk to Alex Stamos, the former security officer of Facebook, he's going to talk to us about the current state of affairs. It's going to be a very, very compelling and interesting conversation. So stick around for that.
And then, of course, later on in the day, we have our battlefield. We had our first session yesterday. Had some excellent companies. The judges were very impressed with the quality which is once again, always nice to see because we work hard to pick great companies. And then this today, we're going to see a new batch of companies and they're also going to have a chance to make it into the finals tomorrow. So stick around for that battlefield. It's always a hit with the audience.
So thank you very much for being here so early. We'll kick it right off and I'll see you guys later.
