Progress councils on this recess. And I wanted to to indicate that on July 31, the director of BCA, his term expires and if the council is wishing to have his position posted, we need direction from council to do that. And we can send you a a thank you time we can send a process for for you to do that would be similar to what you did six years ago. Same thing is true for the Inspector General whose term ends on August 19. So if you are wishing to have those positions posted, of course, the current director of BCA is wishing to return and the Deputy Inspector General is wishing to to rise up into the position and both of them are qualified. So it would be up for counsel to indicate what direction you want to go in this regard. But if you can let us know if we have to pose we really need to do that right away.
Okay, so I wanted Mr. Whitaker to mention that to us publicly. And there will be a motion needed to direct Mr. Whitaker to open up the application process for both of those positions to allow people to submit and then of course, the council has the ability to submit the current individuals that you mentioned as well, too. So is there a motion to allow Mr. Whittaker to move forward with opening up the application process and posting both of those positions so that residents from our community and elsewhere can apply? So, okay, Hearing no objections? That motion is approved for Mr. Whittaker to move forward with that posting.
Okay, thank you.
All right. Thank you so much. Mr. Whittaker. All right. And there was a request from Mr. Washington for a waiver on 18.6. Is there a motion to do so. And that is the Michigan and SP to direct funded program income grant.
So my staff Madam President, so my staff should have communicated this information that I have an objection to a waiver on this item. So I'm not sure if Mr. Washington got that information, but I'm saying it again, objection for waiver on this particular item.
Thank you that waiver does not pass. All right, and we will move now to our referrals.
