All right. Hello. Here we are. Hey, week two podcast with Ashley and Diana. Hello, hello.

Isn't that funny? This reminds me of like when you call somebody and all of a sudden you're on voicemail. And once you speak, you cannot take it back. It's getting recorded. Oh my god, you freeze and you say the stupidest things.

Right? And then you're like, how do I erase? Is there a way to hang up and just cancel that this is gonna send but it's like, it's just like cumulative, cumulative. It's getting worse and worse and worse, the more you try to resist it, you're just like, I better just hang up. You know, I've said too much right? Go

on and tell myself how crazy and stupid I'm being the more I have to keep talking. Just try and fix it. And the more I don't, right, yeah.

It's just it gets funnier and funnier.

Yeah, that reminds me of Do you ever watch Seinfeld?

No. I mean, I've seen it. I know of it, though. Okay,

there's an episode where George leaves a recorded message on some girls voicemail. Then he finds out how wrong he was. And he has to break into her apartment. Because he has to get that voicemail before she comes home to hear it. But anyway,

so quote, has to, yeah, has to break into her apartment. Yes. And

that's where it all gets funny. So Oh. Okay. So on that note, I have a question for you. And I wonder if I can just start that way,

you may rapid fire as many questions as you want.

Okay, if you had to boil it down, and tell me, why is Ashley a coach? And why does coaching have to be the thing? Why is it coaching? Why is it not something else? What is it that makes coaching be the thing that Ashley must do? And there? That's the question, what's your big why?

This is a brilliant question. Yeah, coaching is what I do by default. So when I was trying to get through hard times, right, grow into my own skin, become a woman, you know, I was a child and adolescent now an adult woman. And, and that was a lot of freaking transitions. Yeah, I didn't know how to wear any of that skin quite well. Right. So it's kind of like a coming into yourself. And then I will first learn how to self coach. And I was like, What the heck is this? I'm noticing all this stuff about myself. Hmm, it's interesting. And at first, I would judge the hell out of myself, I would notice something. And then I would say, Oh, God, I don't like that. Right. So you're not quite to Coaching By the way, when that's what you're doing. You're on the path, you're noticing things. Yeah. But then you need to uplevel and get to the point where you're like, Okay, whether I like these things, or don't like these things, necessarily. Arguably, it's where I'm at, in my life, at least in this moment in time. And then it becomes giving yourself the gift of just being there, being okay with that where you are. So I love that once I came into my own skin, once I was able to self coach. Now I can hold that same space for someone else. Now I can say, I see your potential of all that you can be as a human in this world, driven by loving energy. Like there's no bound. There's no limit to the impact that you can have. As a human being. I believe that's why we were born. But we forget that we forget. And we're like, Oh, I'm just doing the nine to five. I'm, I'm distracted by right? Like, my sexual desires or my relationship stresses are like my trying to make millions and billions of dollars and God the internet just like does not help for a lot of that stuff, because it exacerbates the problem. Yeah, yeah. So all that said, once I'm holding space for someone and believing fully in their potential All, I'm just here, I see you, I see you, my client, in your full light, your full power, the fullest energy that you already are, I didn't have to give that to you. I just had to show you where it's hiding inside of your soul. Because you're trying to hide it from yourself. You're trying to hide it from the world. And I don't know why anyone would do that. But I've certainly been there. And it's like, so interesting that for me, I've spent three decades now hiding from who I was not sure of who I was. And now I'm like, Oh, my gosh, I can just stand fully in this. I can just own it. And I can be free in that. So coaching is that same permission for someone else? Okay, the permission to be that's what here on the mirror is for me. It's to be that hero that you already are the person the power, the light, the love that you already are. You just gotta get all the bullshit out of the way. Yes, so

coaching, coaching yourself Self coaching allowed you to step into you as you are, and accept that you are in your own right? Perfect and right. And, and 100% full of self love, and you are enough, you are valid, you are just right. And you can be that, and you can just be that. And the gift of giving that to yourself, came through self coaching. And so you want to give that gift to other people through your coaching.

Is that 1,000,000%? Yeah, million percent. What it is, it's, it's like such a heavy gift, right? I'm tired of holding it. And I just want people to take it, just take it because it's beautiful. And I have had coaches along the way, who have invested in me and who've held that space for me and just said, Ashley, you're a light, you're amazing. You're you're just you have so much that you want to give. And they believe that and they saw that when I didn't, when I couldn't. So this just it's incredible. And I don't know anything like that. You know, I think maybe parenting or best friendship and being partners, like a lot of that comes close. But even in those contexts, within those relationships, you are not just holding a space like this happens within a conversation where you're exploring all the stories, all the narratives, everything that you're telling yourself all day long. We have 60,000 thoughts. Not all unique, by the way. So we're just on loop. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But the coach comes in and says, Hey, wait, that thing you just said there? Here's what you just said. Let's look at that. Turn it upside down. Is that Is that what it? Is that what you want to move forward with? And then you just make a decision from there powerful decision to either be like, yeah, that feels true to me. Or, huh. That's an old script. That's an old story. I've been telling myself since I was five years old. That Oh, you know, I'm no good at sports, because I keep passing the ball in soccer to the wrong team or whatever. So like, just

because I threw the ball at the wrong basket when I was a kid. Yep, I've done that. Now. I think that is fascinating how we, we take something for true. First of all, we took it for true when I don't know about that. But we did. And years later, that is how we go on believing in the world. As if and we don't even realize that we assumed it way back then. And it might not have even been through then. And it might not be true today, if we were to actually ask ourselves, but we go on autopilot with a lot of beliefs. And we just let them run through our life without questioning. And that might have been true for me 30 years ago, but is that true still today? I don't know. I have to ask. myself. I

don't know. Yeah, totally. The autopilot thing makes me think of all of us running around as a bunch of robots. Just like Beep boop, here's my program. I'm Baba Baba. I've done this a million times. Right and who who can say they're any different. I get up in the morning. I go get my coffee. I've got the routine. I'm brushing my teeth at the same time. It's like over and over and over and over again. And that's how the human mind is. That's how it functions. It just wants to calculate, and

to to make sense of things. Because if the human mind was allowed to take in everything, yeah, in its full presence all the time we would explode. Right? The brain can't do it. It needs to categorize it needs to define. And then our heart and soul needs us not to do not to hold to that so tightly,

sometimes. Yeah, yeah. With that. I want to ask you a question, if I may. Sure. Okay. Are we our human mind?

No, I don't think so. I think that's just my brain. I think that's my computer. I don't think my brain is responsible for any of the value, like, the energy who I am. All that makes me up. It's not my brain?

I don't think so. No, no,

I think I use my brain to find ways to bring the true soul energy that I am into the world, I use my brain to find ways and behaviors and things that will get me the things I want in the world, you know, produce results that I want to see I use my brain to come up with the steps, but the essence of what I want as a human being and the essence of what I'm here to do as a human being. I don't think my brain has got nothing to do with it. Um, that's beautifully said.

Yeah, our brains are such artifacts. Like when you look at how far they date back, you're like, damn, this thing is old. I'm using the oldest software.

Except they say, you know, we only use so much of our brain and that it is actually quite an advanced computer. I mean, just because we don't know how to use all its apps. We don't know how to use all well, I know. You know how the phone or or your computer might tell you it's it's it's gonna malfunction soon, because it only has so much locked in it. Like my phone's been telling me I just had to go get an SD card. Because my phone was like you have one bite left, like you have nothing left and and programs are gonna start shutting down on you. Because you have no space left. And I feel like our brains can only do so much. Even though it's a massive and incredible computer, it really is not capable of making heartfelt decisions.

Yeah, like that. Even though our brains are amazing, this powerful computer, they're not capable of making heartfelt decisions. And by the way, I think that's a misnomer. We do actually use the majority of our brains. Oh, I don't know the science. Exactly. But certainly to your point, there's something higher, something greater than just the brain. So regardless of the percentage that you are using, it's not all about what's in your head. Right. So hey, spoiler alert. Here's what I think is cool about that. It means you don't have to have the answer. Yeah, that's where the answers come from. Your brain. So I think that's cool. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, that almost is a relief for me to reaffirm that that I think because if I had to rely if my brain were the thing, the big deal that everything I'd be like, Oh, my God, okay, mine is malfunctioning all over the place. I went outside to get some firewood and I stood with my face in the refrigerator for like four or five minutes. Like, what are you looking for in here? I don't know. I don't know that I was like nothing because I'm on my way to get some firewood. Like, thank God. It's not all about what the brain can do.

Yeah, the brain is fallible. And we believe things that are absurd, right, even, you know, go ahead.

I'm remembering my friend Greg. You know, Greg, and he had a heart attack years and years ago. He was legally dead for 26 minutes. Oh my God. And they, they put him in a coma, on purpose. And he spent a week in a coma. So he went from 26 minutes dead to he's being sustained but he's in a coma and being supported in the hospital. So in a coma for a week. I went to see him within a few days of coming out of that coma. He was like, telling me stories of myths and legends and he's really into like Celtic history. We and medieval times and all kinds of anyway, he was full of it. He was full of all the wisdom and the wit, and everything that he ever was. And I thought, how is that? How does one leave, you know, cease to be alive and then come back and still be all that. So all that the key is, is not contained within his body.

Hmm. That's, that's fascinating. Yeah, I definitely think we're connected to something higher, and that something flows through us. It's in us now. And it just feels so powerful feels it feels like such a gift to be alive, honestly. Truly,

it is. And I would say that not only is it a gift to you, your life is a gift. It is also the gift that you bring to the world. You I believed that, before I became manifest as human, that there's a call for love. I feel like there's a call for love. And as the being the essence and being that we are before we become human, I feel like those of us that are human now, per that call for love that said yes, I will go, I will go and look for love and I will find it in a crazy world. That seems like it may not be there. I will go I will not only find it, but it will be it and I will share it down.

So on that I can literally not think of a better place to resolve such a beautiful conversation. That's

why no Gosh, this has been a good one.

Thank you for that.

Yeah, thank you for that. You have a beam. You have I mean, and we spent pre recorded time talking about the energy of self love so but I'm just saying that on that note. That is probably the light that is radiating like this. I can see it and it's beautiful.
