This is a bonus episode of What's the Deal, Grosse Ile, the podcast that explores the people, places history and events that make rosio unique. I'm your host, Ben fote. Now, like I said, this is a bonus episode, this doesn't count toward our car episode count. Part of that is that we're in the middle of a two week break this weekend next week, we won't have new episodes. Two reasons for that. One is that the conversations I'm preparing right now have a much longer prep time. And it's taken a while to get everything set up. And then to schedule with these folks, it's going to be worthwhile, believe me. The second part is that this is a very busy time. On top of that with my job, I work at Greenfield Village as a historical presenter. And right now I am actually the Grim Reaper on Thursdays and Sunday nights. And so that takes up a lot of time. And it takes a lot of recovery from that. And so the days are really tight right now. But that finishes up next weekend, and we're back to the regular schedule. So we'll be back to regular episode releases in November and then should have a couple in December and then we'll be back on on it in December or in January. The other thing I want to I want to ask for in this in this case that that first one is to be patient. We've got a new episode coming in a couple weeks. The other part is I would really appreciate it to get some more feedback. I get emails lately I've gotten some phone calls. I'd really appreciate even more in a few different ways. direct feedback is always good. We've got an email address what's the deal? gi@gmail.com we also have a phone number it's listed in the episode notes that goes to a Google account so no one's gonna answer the phone you can just leave a message we also have a Facebook group called What's the Deal Grosse Ile that is a private group, you have to you have to join it to see it. That's just so that I can give away some extra content that that doesn't leak out to everybody else you get some some special stuff there and then you can can talk about the episodes if you'd like. Also, it would be helpful for you to share the podcast with with your friends and neighbors, show it share it on some of those on those downriver groups and get people interested. Hopefully some of this information is useful to to answering questions that people have. That's the main motivation for this is to help people be able to answer their questions. So if you see an episode that's useful to answer a question, go ahead and post it, you won't you won't hurt my feelings. The other part is reviews. Now, the reviews aren't as important on Apple podcasts as they used to be, but it surely wouldn't hurt to to give us a rating and a review there. But even reviews on on the Facebook page or on the Instagram page or on whatever whatever podcast app you might use would be very helpful to us. So if you would wouldn't mind doing that for us.
