I've, over the years, I've run a lot of different breeders, and, you know, multiple strains by each breeder. And I definitely notice each breeder has a certain kind of palette, like some are going for Super fruity or even, or even geared toward a certain particular fruit flavor. You know, some go towards gassy or cushy. It's just funny. So you're right. I think people do go towards certain breeders because of their palates and what they're selecting, which seems obvious, but, you know, it's not just the looks and all that. It truly is the flavors. I think that people are understanding totally
man and wanting I think that it's also, like I've said on the show before, it's kind of the end game of cannabis is like strain hunt. That's what we're doing. This all for, right? That's what the Botany of Desire is compelling us to do. Hunt through these seeds, find that unicorn, maybe breed with it and proliferate it. Strain talk is just infinitely interesting to me, endlessly fascinating. And people just love talking about breeding cannabis, making new cultivars and all the different expressions that you can come up with, right? It's like, that is the fun part. It's like, so many colors that you can make when you start with these primary colors with cannabis, you never know what you're gonna get. You don't know. It's like that, that meme that just dropped who did? It was a good meme that was like a Humboldt Forest Gump, and he's like, you know, they say, they say a tray of clones is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. It's true. Dude, that's the fun part. Oh, it definitely is. Or Atreya seedlings. I mean, that's the fun of it, you know, that is the fun of it, exactly. Dude, yep. What are you gonna get? So listen, that's what we're talking about today. Is we're talking about grow, cast, seed, co strains. We're talking about some of the lesser known ones that you've worked on, rich, lesser known because they you most of these were limited. So you've done really, really well with some prolific strains. The peach quake was really, like, blasted off like past grow gas seed coat kind of become a phenomenon of its own, among with others. But at the tectonic truffle I'd put in that category, right? But we're talking about some of the limited strains, man, some of the more obscure, rhizoritch works. Today. I'm very excited to talk about these right out. Before we get into these specific strains, though, we should really quickly talk about the June promotion that's going on right now. You found some Rhino statues, some little crystal rhinos that you've hidden in three packs of seeds. These are going to be distributed randomly, right? And they each have a prize,
yeah. So I went to some like, reptile convention. I brought my kids to, and there's this lady there selling, like, gemstones and like Amethyst and stuff like that. And they had little God, she had, like, a whole table, and it had trays, and each tray had a bunch of little squares. And one had, like, rhinos. One had different kinds of dogs and cats and shit anyway, so she had everything. So I ended up finding the rhinos, and I grabbed three of them, different colors, ones like amethyst, ones like some kind of clear Opal looking thing. And I don't know what the green one is, it kind of reminds me of, like, jadeite or something. It looks Jade. Yeah, Jade. So I grabbed three of those, and at the time, didn't really know what I was going to do with them, but then I thought, you know, it'd be cool to hide them in 3c packs, you know, or three orders, or whatever, that get placed in the next month, and have kind of, like, do a different level for each Rhino. Like each Rhino has its own prize. So I think it's
up in the in fact, we put all that information on the website right now, but it's like the one Rhino, if you win that color, you get five packs free. Another one, you get a cut from Farmer John of your choice. It's a really cool promotion you did just for this month.
I believe, off the top of my head, I can't remember exactly the colors. I do know green is when the five packs, it's all your choice from seed CO, yeah, it's on my IG page too. And then, like you said, the other ones when two packs and a microbiome meter,
oh yeah, fuck yeah, dude, you're giving away a new micro microbiometer. Microbiometer, yeah,
yeah. They, they were really, you know, I actually have a brand new one, and I was giving it away as part of the prize. But microbiome meter reached out the other day and said they're going to send their upgraded, their newest, newest version of it. So we're actually going to be giving away the the new, upgraded microbiome. Good call, dude. Shout out. They were super cool.
Yeah, shout out to microbiometer for all their awesome work. That was nice of them. Yeah,
I thought so too. And then, like you said, the other one is when a clone from Farmer John, and there's a menu that him and his partner made just for this, then you can pick whatever one off that menu you want, clone fucking. It's a really fun little promo that we're doing. And, you know, gives some gives everybody back a little something too, that orders from us, not everybody, but, you know, gives them a chance to to win something so
well, I wanted it to go along with this episode, because some of these discontinued strains, we may have a few packs up on the site as you're hearing this grow cast podcast.com you. Can see seed CO is right there. You can just click on through to seed Co. It explains the promotion. It has some of these packs. So I did want to line it up with this episode and talk about some of these discontinued strains in just a second, because I do have to ask rich, what is the deal with the rhino? So maybe people just tuned in, they just discovered the show, and they see rhizo rich, and then they see a lot of rhino representation. Can you talk about why you identify with the rhino?
Definitely. Let's just go ahead and clarify all of this right now, because I don't think we ever have kind of sat down and explained the rhizo, the rhinos all that. So I was never really on IG until a couple years ago. I don't know if it was you or somebody told me I really need to get on there. So I ended up getting on there. I was on some other platforms, but wasn't on IG. Got on IG at first, saw how everybody's name was, didn't really, didn't really have a name for myself that I was just kind of browsing through and seeing exactly what the heck was about. And I thought, well, how can I come up with, like, some kind of name related to growing that, you know, goes with rich or even starts with an R, because there's not a ton of stuff. And rhizosphere was really the only thing I could think of, which is really goes along with the organic gardening and stuff. So I kind of thought that was perfect. But I thought rhizosphere is such a long word to, you know, I can't really put the whole word as part of the name, so I just shortened it to rhizo and made it riser rich from the hair people have, kind of on their own, turned it into Rhino. Someone
took the Z and turned it on its side at a certain Yes, didn't they? Yeah,
somebody, I can't remember who did it, but somebody did, and it turned into Rhino. And since then, we've kind of just, it's kind of ballooned into this whole rhinos thing. We use Rhino emojis and discord, even on IG for me, or, you know, stuff that we're doing that is in regards to me, people
made fan art of, like, anthropomorphic rhinos, like, like BIPA, like shredded rhinos in a garden. Yeah,
a member, I think it was cue ball sent me some Rhino stickers at one point that he had, like, custom made that were really fucking cool. I think I still have a couple of them. It just like I said, it kind of just blossomed or ballooned into this whole Rhino thing. So rhizo kind of turned into this Rhino deal. So if you see rhinos associated with me, that's, that's kind of how or where it came from. There's not, like, a specific thing necessarily. With rhinos,
you weren't bitten by a radioactive Rhino.
It's funny because, like, I always liked rhinos, but I was never really like, you know, some Rhino fanatic, like some people are really into animals. I was always like a reptile. I had snakes and lizards and shit growing up, so rhinos weren't necessarily on my radars as much, but since then, yeah, they, they definitely have been, and I have a lot
more appreciation for, well, you're an animal lover in general, almost
extinct, you know? Yeah, yeah. I, I worked in the veterinary field for 12 years, dude,
I was just gonna say I didn't want to like animals. I didn't want to like fucking call you out. But listeners, interesting fact about about rich, I have never been able to stump him or like he's known what I've been talking about when I approached him with any veterinary issue. Hey, we got a team member. She's got a dog. She's sick with this, oh, I know what that is. She's probably on this medication. Like, you know your shit when it comes to animals, I'm, you know animals, like, I know poker dude. Like, I'm shocked.
Yeah, I had really good, really good doctors that taught me. So that was probably the biggest thing, you know, they threw me in, and we're like, you're going to do surgeries with us, you're going to do everything. So I, I literally did every single thing they were doing. I mean, I wasn't doing procedures because, you know, obviously, legally, I can't do stuff like that. There are certain things I'm allowed and not allowed to do when I was working there. But, you know, overall, you know, I could run X ray machines and help with surgeries and do whatever needed to be done. So
well, you're smart, and you were probably, like, learning, like most people are, just go through the motions, but obviously you were picking shit up. Dude,
like, yeah. I mean, that was what was, what was going to be my career, you know, for the long before you became a breeder, something in animal field, yeah. Well, nobody really knew I was, you know, big in the weed and shit, because you got to be kind of in doctor's offices when you weren't there, you got to be kind of cagey about it, and not, not, you know, let it be known, because you're even though it's just weed, you know, you're filling prescriptions that are, yep, narcotics and, you know, logged in a DEA book and stuff. So the last thing you want your boss to know is, hey, I grew up weed, which doesn't sound like a big deal to us, but, you know, to doctors, unfortunately, it immediately equals narcotics. And is this person trustable and non bubble?
That's bullshit, dude, the other than, like, expungements for people who are serving time for cannabis and, you know, work with veterans, I think some of the top. Priorities is this fucking occupational hazard that is cannabis like, what? What I mean by that is the bullshit around that, right? So I can't tell you how many people live double lives because they're in the medical field. Or, you know what one of the worst ones is, is the CDL a commercial driver's license.
Oh, those are the worst we ever on the side of the road and kiss you right there. You know? What the fuck
man, That's so unfair that they're allowed to drink alcohol, but you can't consume cannabis, like, responsibly if you have a CDL. That's some of the stuff, like, like, I said, other than like, the big, big stuff, that's some of the stuff that I think is most unjust. But it's cool, dude, it's a little bit of a glimpse into your history. I think people like to, like to hear that, and I'm sure the animal lovers out there are identifying and resonating with that really cool that you are fucking living that double life. That's
why I let the the rhino thing ride. Because, you know, I do love animals. And when you look into rhinos more, they they need some attention right now. And when our kids are older, and they have kids, they there might not be any rhinos in the world for them to even go see they saying, yeah, there's wild, you know, very, very some of them, there's only one or two of the species left. You know, that kind of rhinos? No, I think it's like the white rhino.
That's cool, though, man, that's really, really cool. I know people vibe with that. So, so, yeah, we love you. We support you. And listen, man, we've heard about the peach quake, right? Great strain blew up, like I said, the tectonic truffle, another really popular one, the ice cream. Wolf Man, one of your popular ones. I want to talk about some of these rarer strains, like I said, some of the smaller pollinations. There were a couple times where you only threw in, like a small female, right, right? A couple reasons why you wound up with some limited strains, you know what I mean, between just like number of seeds, and then, like I said, the size of plants you were using. Some of these are very, very limited. So I don't know. Where do we start here? Let's just start with the most limited one. Let's, let's start with a bang at the top of my list, list here, listeners, you may not even even heard of this strain, magma monster. You grew a strain. You bred a strain called magma monster, and magma monster was your moon monster, which is ice cream Wolf Man by doo doo, but the GMO back cross that made Moon monster, that strain made a bunch of waves shout out to flower farm really popularized that strain with how much he grew it. The moon monster was great. And you took that and you hit it with the peach quake male pollen from your peach quake pollination, and then you wound up with magma monster. Talk to me about this cross, why it was limited, and where it went.
Yeah, so the moon monster, or the magma monster, that one was limited, pretty much you nailed it in the beginning. It was one very small moon monster plant that I threw into the peach quake pollination.
You just had the extra room and just a little female to fill this. Yeah, exactly.
I had a little extra room in the room, and I was like, you know, let's squeeze one more in one other strain, something small. It'll just be for myself and buddies or whatever. Didn't really think you know anything about it being necessarily being released, because it was such a small plant, just a clone, you know. So I thought, you know, maybe I'll get a handful of seeds, something for myself and buddies to check out. And ended up doing that. Ended up getting a little bit more seeds than I thought. So I had, you know, a handful of packs that I could give out. So we ended up putting those in the peach quake box sets. Is one of the unreleased packs, yes.
So you get, you got the whole line, and then you got a bonus pack, which was an unreleased pack. And magma monster was almost entirely distributed through those, right,
yes. So it was almost entirely given out through those there. What there may have been a sale promo that we did at one point, and some people may have gotten some there, but there's definitely going to be less than probably 50 packs of those total ever. So there's, there's not a bunch.
So those went out to box sets holders and then some limited, rare and we didn't see them for a long time. That's what happens, is like, especially when you get a box set, right? Like, people are going to pop that box
that had 16 packs in it too. Yeah. So there was a lot of packs for people to pick from. And definitely, I think you're right, they go for, usually something that they were looking at on the menu first, before they go for the unreleased stuff, you know, slowly
we started to see these pop up, though, and man, the magma monster is fucking beautiful. So it is. The peach quake tends to dominate. Tell me, if you agree with this, it tends to dominate on the super dense, chunky bud structure, like guys, dude. How do you describe those? They're like, they look like little silos. They're fucking cylindrical. It
reminds me of, like the classic indica style, like you would see in a magazine with the super broad leaves, and then in the middle of it was like a flower, you know, like a very chunky type flower. That's how the buds are with the peach quake, or even peach. Eyes kind of like that. What it originated from.
90% of the time I'm seeing these. They're not donkey dicks. They're just chunkers. They're big fat chunkers. They're not they're way bigger than golf balls. Sometimes you see golf balls, but really they're just these sledge hammer buds, dude.
Yeah, I did notice with magma monster, that's one strain that kind of did push out the larger flowers. Um, there was that, that member in Australia that grew some out, and he got some buds that looked like they're about as long as his arm. Oh, nice. So I don't know if that's the ice cream wolf man coming through or the head man organ, chuckle, Berry, you know, like, throw those big, long buds, yep, if it's that coming through in it. But you're right. Usually a lot of the peach ear lines have more, I don't want to stay smaller, but fatter flowers that aren't necessarily long, dude, but you can see some longer ones in it's
a great yielder. It's everything's top heavy, like you said, it's the perfect indica. Everything's super, super dense at the top, and just big fat chunkers. That's what the peach quake seems to dominate with. And then also that purple color came through with the magma monster a lot of time, just like lavender, fucking maroon, crimson red.
Yeah, I was gonna say even some reds. And I think that's coming through from the ice cream Wolf Man side, from the ice cream, man, that really red color. Same with the the purple coming from the headband organ, suckle Berry, and then also from the the peach quake. Like you said, the peach pie is just straight purple. So you get a lot of colors in that one.
And it makes sense that the flavors are coming out very a wide array of flavors as well, because you've got, like, double sweets with the peach quake and the ice cream Wolf Man lineage. Those are like peaches and apricots and super glue and and Huckleberry and a lot of good shit in there. And then you have the GMO doo doo. But back cross, which just added everything else, right? Garlic mushrooms, fucking shit, funk, yeah, all the good nasty stuff, really, really wide expressions coming out from, from all those different palettes you put like, three super dominant strains in competition with each other. Dude, GMO, peach, Quake and ice cream, Wolf Man, those are strains that tend to pass on really dominant traits. You know what I mean, right? I think it really was a good combination. Yeah,
I tend to do that. I like to see, you know, obviously you're going to get phenos that come out, that are dominant one way, and then come out, you know, dominant the other way. But I really like to see the ones that end up mixing out of those, those dominant ones, that's those are always the super interesting phenos When breeding totally that come out. So
I think you did a great job with that magma monster. We'll see if we can't have more up on the site by the time that you're listening to this, probably just a handful. Yeah,
I think I got five or six packs left. So we can definitely, you know, at least. So we'll, we'll see if we can throw a couple packs up there for people. You know, it isn't going to be much, and we've never sold them on the site. They're always giving away some kind of freebie. But we can, we can put them. We can put a couple packs up there if people are interested, hell
yeah, and shout out to the members so supportive and grabbing up these, these rare strains all the way back to the the super Lemon Haze f5 cross that you did. Man,
oh, those were for the transitioning. Yeah, there's some cool crosses. A
lot of that shit wound up in the hands of members. Rightfully so. We appreciate everyone who listens to the show, but especially those who joined the order. And I wanted to do a, I think I'm going to end up making it as a free preview. I wanted to do a grow cast TV episode all about our history, because it's, it's so amazing. And like, like I said, just giving a glimpse of rise of riches history and how much he's done for the cannabis community when we transitioned those members, how many of those seeds you gave away? Nearly 1000 seeds, bro.
Yeah, it was a super Lemon Haze at five crosses, you're right. The key lime pies, super Lemon Haze. Key Lime Skittles.
It's crazy how you got here, man. And some people still have these packs. Some people are sitting on a Citrus Bliss, or a lunar lemon, lunar lemon, or a lemon frappe. I actually
gave a member of Crazy Legs four lunar lemon seeds a couple weekends ago because he didn't he never had any. Never got me, you know. And I still have a little box with a few in there. So I gave him a couple to try out to grow so it'll be interesting to see what he gets. Man,
just absolutely incredible stuff. You've come a long way, brother, and you've made some fucking killer strains. Thank you so but that's why I wanted to do this episode and highlight some of the ones that people may not have heard of, and maybe give them a chance to grab some the magma monster. I want to see more people grow that out, because it's just so fucking impressive.
There is some pictures on my IG. I mean, you're gonna have to look through but there should be within, you know, the most recent 30 posts. There's probably a couple magma monster picks in there for people who are interested. So you want to go check it out, you can always go in there and check out a few pictures. Just
gorgeous plants. Man, the peach quake really lends itself. Next one we're going to talk about is actually from that doo, doo, but side what are you waiting for? I want to talk about a strain that's been kind of making waves after it was discontinued. I don't know, you know if an influencer picks up some of your work and starts posting about it on Reddit, right? I don't, I don't know how this works, but suddenly I'm hearing a lot about your earth monster. The monsters came from the doo, doo, but line right? We were thinking like genetically modified, kind of like Earth monster. What other ones did we do? The moon monster and the magma monster. It was kind of like the theme on the naming side. But the earth monster was 10th planet by doo. Doo, but I'm right about that, right? Yeah. Okay, so that's fucking Yeah. I don't know if you want us to take some time and catch people up on the 10th planet, maybe for people who haven't heard you talk about that one. Oh
yeah, the 10th planets. It's super interesting, super interesting strain. And especially, I ended up with three phenos of it. But there's one specifically that I was doing a lot of breeding with, especially back at the time that the Earth monster was made, which was Pheno number two. And once again, you can go on my IG, I got a ton of picks of, you know, number two of TEN's planet. It's in a very amazing phenome. The strain itself was made by East Coast a while back. I think it's a Quattro Kush, or Planet of the grapes cross, or something like that.
It's a planet of the grapes crossed to, is it quattro Kush or Pluto OG.
I think it's quattro Kush, but maybe the Pluto cut. Ah, there you go, Pluto. Now you're somewhere. That's what it is. Yeah, that one is absolutely amazing. Once again, it's incredibly purple. But that was one of the I don't want to say first, because it makes it sound kind of recent, but, you know, I guess it was, what? How many years ago? How many years ago was that? Yeah, God, it's, it's been, it's been quite a few years.
You've had that cut for a long time. You were working with that cut when we made peach supernova with the original peach pie pollination, and you continued to work with it up through doo, doo, but, yeah,
and I had it before then even a little bit too. So it was, it's been a while, but that one was one of the first ones that I got that had just an unreal amount of frost on the on the flowers. You know, I've had plenty of frosty stuff growing, but this was like frost on frost on frost, which is it really blew my mind as it was growing the flavor on it. It's kind of hard. It's it's kind of easy, but kind of hard to describe at the same time, which sounds very contradicting, like there's definitely grape going on in there. You get a lot of grape, but the number two Pheno is almost like a grape soda. Yes, like artificial grape soda. Very hard to describe grape flavor, but definitely great. That's
what I remember. Dude, straight grape soda. I remember those carbonated, fizzy Terps, almost like a trop. Like a trop gives you that, like, weird,
fizzy, good, good way to describe it, like a tropical grape, if there is such a
tropical grape soda, 100% Yeah,
it was, it just super tasty to smoke on. I mean, you know, like I said, covered in trichomes. So it just did work. It yielded incredibly well. So it was, you know, one of the first ones I got that the frost on frost on frost. And I thought, you know, I really want to do something special with this plant and keep it around a long time. So that's why I did quite a few projects with that 10th planet in the past. It was just one that I was incredibly stoked on. And I still love that plant. It's an amazing plan,
but the earth monster really. Up to its name, man, I don't know what that 10th planet did to the GMO, but the buds that come out of that that plant are insane. Dude, he had to talk about fucking donkey dicks. They're stacked from bottom to top. If I had to, if I had to sword fight, not like,
our length, or like, yeah, if I had to sword fight with
cannabis, I would pick Earth monster hands down, dude, it's like, a saber. It is huge,
but they're like, you know, leg length, not even arm. It's like, as long as your damn leg. It definitely tends to throw out some huge flowers. You're right about that. So, yeah, that's a really good one. And, you know, I love GMO too. So that whole pollination was super, super interesting to me. That key line madness came out incredible in that pollination, I thought, as well as Earth monster, they all did, but those two really were the eye catchers for me, at least. Yeah,
there was a student out in New York who was like, I need to get some of this earth monster. And people were writing us. I saw one fino indoors that was just a fucking like, I said, a huge spear just stacked from top to bottom. Think like dark green, not like turtle shell or black, but like dark green, beautiful foliage contrasted to bright white, frosty buds, like that's what it looked like. Is this? This contrast between the nice, darker green leaves and just white hair, White Frost, massive buds behind it. So much bud matter that one was good. And then I saw an outdoor strain that was just fucking huge. There must have been three pounds on the planet, yeah.
There's been a few, I think, that have run that one outdoor, yeah. And had really good luck with
it. Good living up to its name. Like I said, the fucking Earth monster really does turn into a monster, especially when you put it directly into the earth. Fucking killer, killer shit, dude. So, yeah, that's one that that I think got slept on a little bit. I mean, not necessarily slept
on, definitely. I don't want to say it got slept on either. But, you know, after that pollination, we definitely sold a lot more packs. I would say, you know, totally exactly,
it's picking up steam, man. So shout out that Earth monster is, I'm gonna grow some of that myself. I think that's on my list. Is the earth monster?
Yeah, that one's just about sold out completely. So there ain't much of that one left.
Speaking of almost sold out completely once, peach buzz, do you even have any of this around? Is this gonna make it back up? Back up on the website? Peach buzz was from the original peach pie pollination, wasn't it? Yeah?
Coffee at three crossed the peach pie. Yes, sir.
We were hesitant to call it peach coffee because the coffee didn't carry super heavy coffee Terps. So we went out peach buzz, which I think was a smart move. I
agree, and definitely I'll throw a few packs up on the website. That's one that, you know, just like Earth monster. You know, there's, there's going to be less than five packs of those left. So I'll throw those up there within the next day or so as well. And we'll get a, we'll get a whole little group of of packs of things that I have, you know, five packs or less of that are either discontinued or sold out. So some people have a chance to grab something that they normally wouldn't. Yeah,
make sure you drop one of the rhinos at least. I mean, I'll let you do your thing. I know you're going to do it randomly, but, yeah, we're going to drop those rhinos in the next few weeks. So one of those likely to have a rhino in it. Yeah, the
rhino promo runs all month from June 2. It started at least, you know, till July 2. So a month, there's plenty of time for people to get in on that. And like I said, they're just going in random seat back. So, yeah,
I appreciate it. Super. Appreciate that, that hard work. I didn't know you had any peach buzz left. Though I love that coffee, that coffee cross, I want to be clear, you know
that coffee at three was definitely amazing. I got that from a local guy. Hey, buddy, GGC, he gave me that one and the slur came a while back. That coffee at three was super interesting. Like you said, I didn't really get coffee notes in it, but I got a lot of like, vanilla. Oh, what else was what I it was, like, fresh
and tiny. To me, you got like, a piney, yeah? Maybe, yeah. I mean, definitely, I want to smell it. There was definitely
something in there, you know, there definitely was vanilla, but there was still something else in there that was kind of strange, too. I don't know if I would call it piney, but it definitely wasn't fruity, yeah, yeah. It definitely wasn't fruity. It was like vanilla and sweet, but it also had something else going on that wasn't fruit, but it wasn't necessarily like gas. I don't know if I'd call it piney. Maybe it was. It's been a while since
there's only one way to find out. We're gonna have to grow it again and smoke it. Yeah,
no shit. But Yeah, that one's a killer one. The peach buzz was amazing. I definitely do have a very, very few packs of those labs along with Granny's peach pie, so I'll see if I can throw a couple of those up there as well. But yeah, that buzz was an amazing one. There's a few people that have grown that out and sent pictures. Is over. And every one of those I've been impressed with as well. But that just seems to be that, yeah,
that one had had a real nice bud structure too. It did coffee was a little bit more spear like and so those peach buzzes come out a little bit different than some of the other peach quake crosses, I feel like
absolutely the coffee at three was definitely had more spear shaped buds, for sure. So you do get a kind of different structure on those. And same with the, once again, the Granny's peach pie, you get, definitely get different bud structures on the than you would with a lot of the other peach pie crops, yeah.
Oh, dude, I gotta bring up one that I think is dead and gone forever. You tell me, do you remember that from that same pollination peach popsicle, dude. Peach popsicle was ice cream. Wolf Man, across the peach quake. And that shit came out crazy. It came out like absolutely the fan. Leaves were coated tip to fucking, fucking snoot to toot in frost. It was insane. And the buds didn't look like anything else. They didn't look like peach quake buds or ice cream wolfman buds.
Yeah, that one was super limited. And you know what, you're right that one, I don't have any vibration. I don't think I have even one pack. So if you did get some of those, save them bongs
and Beardies. Do you still listen to my show? Reach out to me just the most lavender purple, through and through from the center of the bud all the way to the tips of the leaves, and then just these fan leaves that were tacoed upon themselves because they were so covered in trichomes. I just wanted to see someone wash with that with that strain. If anybody has peach popsicle, please reach out to me. I would love to speak to you. Right. Crazy man. What a crazy ride. So, okay, I have one more that I want to talk about here. We are talking about limited strains, lesser known strains. This is probably one of the more popular of the lesser known Granny's peach pie made its way around a little bit sold out a while ago. I know you always keep like a little stash, just in case you need to work with the strain later, or you tend to especially,
yeah, that one I kept quite a decent stash. Oh, good. They've been slowly dwindling over the past year. You know, that's why I say there's probably less than five packs at this point. But I did keep a decent stash of those, and people have been grabbing them up just because it's, it's one of those, one of those crosses I did that the lineage in it, one of the parents is older lineage from a guy grass man genetics. He had an afghan, a white widow cross called giggling granny. And I hunted through some of those, found two feet, as I like, ended up keeping one to breed with and cross that to the peach pie, and that's how we ended up with the Granny's peach pie. So there's some some older white widow and aft gooey lineage in there. So you see some different bud structure, once again, that just looks super interesting. And you get these flavors that are a little bit different than the rest of the pollination, rest of the strains in that pollination, that's
what I saw, is there's way more diversity. A lot of the peach pie crosses, including the peach quake, they came out very uniform. There was a lot of a lot of dominant traits that showed up pretty regularly. The Granny's peach pie comes out in a wide variety, and it's all good. The one thing that I see across the board, which makes sense with the afghui White Widow crosses, is the effect. It seems like it picks up the potency of the modern peach pie and then brings on some of that old school effect to where you I mean, I remember there were two, two times that someone handed me a Granny's peach pie, and they were both fun show stoppers. First person I was gonna say is Canis fam. He gave me a peach pie that rocked my fucking world. It just got me so high. There's
a video and pictures of his Granny's peach pie on my page, on my IG page, and then there's another set of pictures of another Pheno, Granny's peach pie. Both are just absolutely amazing. I can't remember who did the other one. Maybe it was, want to say stone or Steve or somebody like that. The
other person who who handed me Granny's peach pie that made me put down the pipe was Barry, the member. Barry grew Granny's peach pie and I'd been smoking. I smoking and dabbing all day. I'd been trying strains this and that, dabbing on the seahorse, and then I ripped some of that granny peach pie, and I just put down my pipe too. You know what I'm talking about? It's those tolerance breakers. Grannies. Has a lot of those.
It's just different because it's got that older shit in it, you know, I think so I agree. You know what I mean. So I think that's why it kind of does that. It's it might have some things in it that maybe have been bottlenecked out, maybe of a lot of the more recent stuff, or, you know, you just don't see it as much totally. So I agree, you get some effects that just kind of hit different when you smoke it. You know,
that's a really good point, and I never really put that together. AF, gooey and White Widow, what I can. To be old school. Strange. Those are old school classics. Yeah,
you're right. It may not be old old school, but it's old school for me. You know, 90s, late 90s, early, 2000s Oh,
yeah, especially the widow, like, that's, that's old school genetics. That
was huge on the East Coast when I was in high school. White Widow was huge. So that was
panic attack weed. When I was growing up, it was the good totally. And you'd go from some shitty Mexican brick weed into some White Widow and you'd get to have a panic attack because you're so high. It was a good times. Remember white
rhino? Yes, you ever see white rhinos? You get that one too? Yeah, 100%
but, yeah, I love that. I'm I make a joke, but I love that White Widow weed. It gets you so fucking high. That was, like I said, that was good weed when I was growing up. And then AF gooey was a strain that I grew in Humboldt that was still going around. Yeah, I
haven't seen that one in about 10 years, but I loved that one. Yep, it was going around more recent, though you could say I
think it hung around. I feel like afghui was a little bit ahead of its time. It looked more like modern weed before modern weed, and it gets you super stony. That's what I remember about afghui. Is like, that makes a lot of sense that the grannies lens from that, because the afghui and Humboldt that I smoked was like, smoking fucking opium. You know what I mean? It was like, you just get tired, and it's my favorite type of weed. Your eyes get heavy, yeah, your muscles get relaxed. Yeah, that's the type of weed that I like. Is that people say, like the indica, couch lock, whatever you want to call it sedative, super, super sedative. That's my type of weed. Oh, me too. Man, absolutely. So, yeah, I wanted to highlight these strains specifically because they've been popping up on my radar more. I know you have some left, and I just wanted to give the people a chance to try some man, which one do you miss or that you wish you could get back or want to work with again? When you look at all these strains, not just the ones we mentioned
today, you mean, like strains that I made, is there one that I like? Is there one I that I wish I had more seeds of, or something, yeah,
or like one that you're thinking about working that you do have more seeds of,
you know, if there's one strain, all of them I love, and I'm not just saying that because I, you know, made them, but if there's one that I wish I had more stock of, specifically, probably key line madness, because tons of people still ask me for packs of that we've seen, phenos that are just mind blowing. Once again, if you go on my IG, it's actually one of the last one, one or one to three posts. One of the last one to three posts. You can see one of the key lime madness phenos that Lex loci found. I found a couple good ones. I know a couple other people that have found amazing phenos. And like I said, I still get requests to this day of people that want packs. And that was one that I only did a very small amount of, because it was the key lime pie. The mom that I used, she would throw Nanners in, like day 55 so about 10 days before you'd harvest her, and it would only be a couple on the bottom, you know, two or three. So it wasn't big deal. But I was always hesitant to breed with her. Because of that,
the members convinced you to. They were literally counting you to breed with that thing.
Yeah, the members really wanted us to. And eventually we just did a poll, and we're like, look, you know, I'm thinking of what, what the next freebie is for, the next, you know, pollination, and what do you guys think? And everybody pulled the the key lime pie. So we ended up doing the key lime pie. And like I said, all the it came out super stable. I haven't heard of any Herms from that line at all. And the lime flavor came out like crazy. Because the key lime pie mom I used, I told people, I don't get any lime in it. It's like a carrion meat smell, you know, totally that second generation, or whatever, or the, you know, breeding it, it just seemed to have the lime just came out like crazy. So it just kind of surprised me, you know, that the lime came out and some of the phenos just came out. So mind blowing that that's one I wish I had more stock of to get some more people and, you know, to do a bigger Hunter for myself.
You nailed it. I totally agree. The parent was amazing. I love one of those freebies that
ended up being, you know, legendary, legendary. So I just wish, you know, wish I would have done made more of those and and, you know, had had more stock of it, you know, for the people and for myself. Lex
low, you're right. Lex low, the member had this fucking gorgeous cut of that. I mean,
the cut he has, it might it definitely goes up there with some of the best looking weed I've ever seen. And I like to think of myself as humble, and it feels weird just to say that, because it's a strain that I made, but just looking at it like it just looks that incredible to me. Pink and purple, the frost is just out like you couldn't have any more frost on that thing. You. Just everything about it. It's just, I want everything to look like that. You know,
I would totally agree that might be the prettiest, fino of your work that I've seen. It
definitely is up there with the prettiest plants I've ever seen all around I agree. Everybody's like, it's one of the prettiest plants I've seen. I've seen a lot of pretty plants, don't get me wrong. It's just, it's different, you know, it's, it's got a lot of, like I said, a lot of colors and hues to it that, you know, when you, when you sit there and look at it like, Wow, it's really doing its thing and really pushing some shit out. I 100% agree.
Man, that's saying something, because I think that ice cream, Wolf Man, might be the most beautiful plant ever bred. That's just me, but I that's saying something, because tonic has some beautiful, you knows, yeah, that's true. Man, yeah, you have some stunners in the visual department. But with the key line, madness, rugged gent raved about his cut Z murder. I gotta try some of Z murders was so good. Really, I think it's a gorgeous plant, but the effect is what I think people are like, fucking shocked by. It seems like every fino is like, insane effect it
did. You know, for me, I don't see a lot of limey wheat anymore, so I think that's what excited me about the key lime madness, was a lot of that lime flavor came out. And for some reason, that lime terpene does get me super stoned,
totally so well, how come the lime taste gets me ripped. Lime OG and I'm sure it's more complicated than this, but it seems like lemon weed is usually light, which I don't mind. I agree
orange and lemon stuff does not get me nearly as high as lime stuff. I don't know what it is, but I totally agree with that.
Peaches same way, dude, the peach quake gets me fucking shredded. Usually, sweeter weed in general, doesn't get me as shredded me too. But peach quake certainly breaks that rule.
That'll be something in the flavonoids and more complex
some some files and esters and, yeah, it's just gonna fucking dude. I mean, it's, you know what? I mean, the butt is good. Let's burn it and see what happens. Totally. Listen, man, you are fucking killing it before we go. Let's talk about the new pollination. Just for a second. I hear you're close to nailing down this male how close are we?
Very close. When I get off the phone with you, I'll be going out there and confirming that it's the one that I'm gonna use. We did talk about a group of them on another episode for the next pollination. So there's been a handful that people can kind of guess. We'll leave it at that for now. But by the next time we talk, I'll, I'll be confirming with everybody exactly, exactly which one I, you know, I took clones of all the males from this hunt and have them separate. But I did take all the I guess you couldn't call them mother males, but Father males the originals that I started from seed, and put those in a three by three by themselves, and are just letting them flower, you know, while my my other plants are in bed and shit. So I was just flowering those to see, you know, to see how everybody's structure was, to see how everybody looks in flower. And I think out of those, those four or five, there's, I think I found the one I want. So we're going to take the beautiful clone I have of it and use that for the pollination I'm thinking. So I'll confirm it today, the next time we talk, I'll let everybody know exactly what one it is, but I think people will be stoked we got some good, good reception on the last time we talked about the potential. So I think people
will be excited. I cannot wait. Man, fucking so stoked me too. Man, it's gonna be a fun project. Well, listen, you take care of yourself. You continue to crush it. You work so hard for us.
