It's so funny. Uhh, they uhh, trying give me a letter asking me why I missed the appointment some last thing. But the irony is how they keep sending me a letter late so when I open it I can't even respond to it. So do they expect me to respond to something when I don't get it quick enough?

That letter has a deadline where I gotta respond by tomorrow about responding to inquiry about why I missed the appointment with them about something from the SNAP thing. But it's like, y'all sent me a letter weeks later after the fact. The letter that was sent to me last time was like a day after the appointment. So what do y'all expect me to do?

Just call them tomorrow.

If they got your email and stuff, this stuff should be coming to you on some other kind of way prior to the mail. In most case, it should be coming to you and letting you know that something is coming in the mail or at this appointment is here.

You should be notified some kind of way that by the time this mail come that's just confirmation.

I mean, Christian, they got your phone number, they got your, I'm sure they got more than just your cell number.

I know that mom. But what I mean is that they don't call, email, text me about it. It's just the letter that's sent.

That's pretty insane because most office mail is snail mail. So I can't imagine they put something in mail, giving you.

But that's how they sent it.

Okay, when I give you, you ain't ever gonna make it then. So then, as far as they're concerned, you're ignoring these deadlines so what that means is they can cut you off.

Okay, mom. But I'm just telling you from my standpoint.

Unless they're doing something different. I always got notified at least a couple of days before response.

But had I not gotten the mail today or checked today, it still be sitting here. You wouldn't have known tomorrow.

And I look like I'm the only one checking the mail.

You know you got they're gonna be mailing me stuff every day that I come home from work, I check your mail when you're here all day.

Like the trash. When I come home.

You sit up in here all day instead of going down. You see that if you, you got, they're going to be mailing you stuff.

If I don't get off by here, when I get off at five, If I don't go by there and check the mail, it'll be there for weeks.

But my point is, it could have been sitting there late anyways.By the time I do get it, it's always close by the deadline.

But my point is it could've been sitting there, Christian.

Again, if I don't, when I get off at 4:30 PM.

But of course, you just have to point the issue to me as the blame. As always.

I'm not that issue to blame. I'm just telling you, if I know I'm out of work and I'm getting unemployed, these people are going to be, I'm dead that, I'm checking the damn mail every day.

The incidents be arbitrated every day that mail was sent. Last time was they purposely had been sent late after the fact. There's no way I could avoid that. It was really sent late after that.

That particular one might be after, but Christian.

One of the ways...

So my point is, even with what you saying, still doesn't change the fact that it was then sent late that there's nothing much I could do about it. But even if I did check it every day.

Let's get across this. Are you checking the mail daily?

Huh?

Do you go downstairs and make sure you got mail at the end of the day? Every day?

Can we not put this about me only in that scenario?

That's all I want. That's all I want.

But I also want to add in the fact that they sent it late to me. So it's a 50/50. It's not all just 100% blame to me.

if you can't control them, but you can't control you.

Yes, but also the fact that they're the ones that cause the issue for this happen.

Christian.

It's not all 100% my fault issue. It's also 50% they also caused the issue for this to occur.

Okay, let's just get past all of that. When I come home from work, you got stacks of mail and me there.

I'm just talking about them. At this particular, this particular sender.

Control what you can control.

Yes, but like I said, I'm gonna go in and call them tomorrow and tell my piece. All I'm telling you is how it work like last time, they made it an issue for me to respond to them.

We're not talking about that right now.

But that relates with this. So that's...

The only time you check mail is if you're getting a package.

Oh my god mom.

You keep putting this up to blame me about it. I'm putting both sides of the scenario. I'm putting about their side bargain too. That causes.

And where's your responsibility to check the mail every day?

And the fact the of the matter is, is, that's why I missed the last one. That's all I'm saying.

Forget, but forget about that.

No, no, we're not forgetting that.

Yes we are.

That's, that's brought in the tables. That could, that combined.

Christian, since we've been here, what drives you to check the mail is when you are expecting a shipment.

Mom.

From Amazon.

All I'm saying right now is I'm talking about this particular incident.

Okay, I'm done with it. I'm done with it. Okay. Okay, I'm done with it.

So you're saying because if someone sent me an later, letter A month after, and you expect.

I'm not! Christian!

You expect that it's my fault.

All I'm saying to you!

That I didn't check every day. You know, even though it was sent a month after.

I check the mail every day.

Okay, but that doesn't change the fact that they sent a letter to me late after the fact. Weeks after the fact. Doesn't change the fact that that's something they caused.

But no. Let's...

I'm bringing this home for you.

If I don't check that mail every day for a regular mail for you and I, you wouldn't have known. You don't really deal with the office until you know that you have something that you specifically ordered.

So just like in that scenario, I didn't know that they would send me an appointment, right? The first time happened, I know there was an appointment, so it's something that was unexpected.

Whether you know it or not!

Now, if it was an Amazon package, yes. You could tell me that the Amazon had tracking delivery, I know.

Christian!

At least I got an idea of an estimated delivery.

And that is my point! Exactly!

But!... Now let's put that into focus, contradicting the fact of that. Let's put in focus this. I didn't get any estimated, tracking estimated delivery of this. This is something completely expected. I didn't expect them to send me an appointment of things about this. This is the first time of getting that-

Because you are getting...

letter at that time. And then, and then to add to the fact, to add insult to injury. To add to the fact that they added to sentiments week after and I finally get it. It, it was a day after the appointment. So how was I supposed to know?

We are back to my point.

Not back to your point because even if you checked it every day doesn't matter. The time you finally, you finally checked it and found it was, again, the exact date after the fact.

But if...

So it doesn't matter if you check it every day, if you check every day, it's not changing the fact that they sent it late after the fact. So we're still back to square one about my point.

That might be the case in this scenario, but I'm the only one checking the mail.

But I'm just focusing on this scenario and that's it.

Ok, I'm done.

That's why I mean. This scenario here, they put me in that scenario.

So listen...

If you have a deadline to meet every day, you will miss it. Because...

Okay, but I was talking about this particular deadline, the first deadline counts.

But that opens up my whole point.

No, it doesn't. Your point was about me knowing something coming delivered.

No.

That's for Amazon.

My point is...

That's for Amazon packages.

Christian, that's exactly right.

But again, that doesn't.

Something you ordered. Christian!

But that doesn't compare to this, because this is not a tracking thing. This is a...

And that's my point!

That I wouldn't have known anything about.

Christian, that's my point. You're on services. You're receiving money from these people. They don't send a tracking. So because of that, in order to keep my eligibility I'm checking every day, because I never know when something from the unemployment is inthe mail.

And then even even despite checking every day, it was still sent weeks after, days after. So that means I still miss because of their fault. That's all I'm saying.

At least give credit when it's due. I didn't get the mail until after the day, after the shown deadline.

Christian... And you still wouldn't have had it, had I not checked.

All I'm saying is, even with the checking, it still didn't change the fact that it was late.

But it might be late, but you got it. You wouldn't have got it. Some people in office will not tell you you got mail.

Okay, okay. But...

That's your responsibility.

All I'm just including is what happened.

Okay, Christian. I'm done with it. I'm done with it.

I'd be damned. If I got unemployment coming. If I got to check the damn mail every day.

Okay, you can check it every day, but it would change the fact that they're sending it late every single day.

Okay, Christian, don't check it.

I didn't say not check it. I'm just saying that you're putting all this allon just me this on this me and not adding the point, their point to it.

You have to stay on top of your affairs.

It's a 50/50.

It's a 50/50. Not 100% my blame, it's 50/50 their blame as well.

That's all I'm trying to get at.

Some of it is electronic, Christian, This is...

They didn't call me, they didn't text message, nothing. It was none of it. It was all just letter based.

Everything, uhh, is always, somebody's always doing you wrong.

Naw, I'm just saying. I'm just pointing, point 50/50 point.

Ok...

About what happened.

Well, one thing about it is, if I see mail sitting in there, regardless of when they mailed it.

Okay.

If I see something in there that's important with Christian Willis name on it,

you still can go to the office and inquire.

Alright.

I don't ever see you doing that. Like to me, when I come home, there, I'm delivering your mail.

Okay, mom.

And because you sit here in this room all day.

All I'm saying is they sent it late to me.

Christian!

So even if I checked it doesn't change the fact.

To be fair, you sit up in this room all day. When I come home at four o'clock, my question to you, have you left the room today? No.

Okay. But again, even if I did, checked it, back to my point it's late.

Okay, I'm done with it.

They sent it late. It's not my fault in that scenario. It's the fact that they sent it late. They're ones that caused it happen. That's all I'm saying.

Even with the with the food stamps. That was sitting there.

That's what I'm talking right now. That's SNAP. That's, that's the whole point I'mtalking about.

Oh, okay.

But here's my deal... If I'm waiting on something, Imma hound or whoever they got my damn mail.

Okay mom. Do what you please. All I'm talking about is my example.

Okay, Christian. Your example, just sit there and wait, honey.

So, so you can sit here,

You know the alt-

You can sit here and give me 100% blame, I guess.

No.

Like you always do, and not, and not.

You know...

Not adding in credibility of what I just added into this.

Honey, no, the credibility is this.

Because they're the ones who also made it late.

Stop relying on other people!

I didn't lie about it.

First of all...

I'm just saying that,

Hold on a minute...

But they messed up on it.

You know Garden Gate don't call you and say you got nothing down there.

Okay, I'm just saying.

I mean, you know, Red, the Red Roof Inn don't call you and tell you nothing. If I'm expecting mail, Imma be there every damn day!

Okay, well, you can do that. All I'm saying is,

Okay, your right. I can do that.

that they have sent it late.

Christian, I'm done with it. I'm done with it. It's always excuse.

It's not excuse. It's again a fact that this happened.

Okay, maybe that, if they don't never send you no mail... At what point you're gonna realize, hey, it's the I don't have no benefits and I don't have no correspondence?

Okay mom.

You, you dealing with stuff after the fact.

All I'm saying is-

Okay, I'm done with it. Shit.

they sent me the letter after the fact. You keep rehashing this over and over again.

Do you not know?

I'll keep saying it again. They sent it late after.

But some things common sense, Christian. You know they gonna be sending you mail.

Yes, which was late. My point again. That's all I'm trying to say.

Hold on a minute...

When was the last time you, proactively... Without me bringing any mail here?

So what? You expect me to have a jet pack ready to launch and fly over there to expect when they're going to give you the mail? I must simply teleport there and get the mail? What am I supposed to do? Get, get it-

You can get yo lazy ass off of this computer and go to the office.

Get to the escalations department to go and do it? What, what do you expect?

And go to the office.

I'm Superman? I'm supposed to fly up there and get it?

And go, like you, the same effort you take to go get the Amazon package.

Yes, because,

The same effort to see if you got any mail.

Because we live in a world where superpowers, where we can just get it automatically, yes.

I'm done with it. I'm, I'm done with it. Because this conversation is stupid. You know what? If they have, if you missed the deadline. You missed it then.

Okay, because of their fault, yes.

Okay, it's going to be their fault, but it's going to be your fault.

It was 50/50 then.

I'm done with it.

You are not no damn baby.

I didn't say I was.

You know they going to be, you know they going to be sending you mail.

I know, but it was late. That's all I'm trying to say.

Is it, is it late, or is it you? You it. Because, guess what?

You just can't admit it, right?

Hold on a minute.

You can't admit it.

No, you can't admit it!

That they sent it to me late.

You can't admit it!

You can't, you can't just admit that. You can't just admit that.

No, here's my deal.

You can't admit to that. That's, that's, that's the whole morale of this.

What you can't admit to...

You can't admit that they sent it late.

If I had not brought it today, when would you have gone there and got it? Next week?!

But you can't admit that they may have sent it late.

No. What you can't admit is that you're not on top of your business.

You can't admit they sent it late.

Okay, I'm done with it. Christian.

You want me to admit that, at least admit the fact that they sent late.

The next time, the next time... I won't check the mail.

I'm just saying I got my own proof that you wrote down on the letter that when you got and the letter that it was shown in there in the SNAP show when they sent it, and it was obviously a week after the fact. So even then-

Even if it was a week!

That shows proof. That was proof for me that they sent it late.

Okay, but Christian... You wouldn't even have gotten it today.

But again, my point is about the first deadline. And then this is another example. They sent me another one that now I gotta respond to the very final day after the fact.

Now imagine if you, because if this case were you checked today, it really got nothing, and then it was sent, let's say a day or two after the fact. Now, okay, now it's even worse. Now they sent it to me after the fact, the deadline. Now I got really no way to respond to it.

Okay.

So again, back to my point. It's about when they sent it and how long it takes to get it.

But even had they sent it after today.

So even if you've checked it every day, or I checked it every day doesn't change the fact that it was sent late-

But who's checked?!

after the fact.

My point!

It doesn't change the fact! I did, all, look at what, listen to what I just said. Whether I checked it every day, whether you check every day, doesn't change the fact that it would've have gotten here any quicker!

My point is, you're not checking for it! Only me!

But even if I was checking for it, doesn't change the fact that they was sent to me late after the fact. I'm just now getting it.

No.

That's what I'm saying.

Here's the deal... You're getting it late because I checked.

No.

I got late because they sent it late.

I'm not finished.

I- They sent it late to me. That's why.

But I handed it to you, right?

Just like the first one. Again-

Hold on a minute.

it was late.

I handed it to you, right?

Okay, and again.

When was the last time you checked?

You want to look? Look, lo- lo- look.

Bye. (Door closes.)

(Opens door.) It was sent to me late, and it showed on there. It showed the date. It showed the date when it sent it.

So look at the date and you tell me that I'm wrong. You wrote.

Christian... It might be. You might be late getting this out. I understand that. I understand that.

So why can't you admit it?

Ok, why can't you, hold on a minute. Why can't you admit that you wouldn't even have the mail in your hand?

So it's a 50/50. It's a 50/50.

Okay, you know what?

That's all I wanted to add. That's all to add to this.

But when you...

That's all I wanted to add to this.

Na, nah.

That's all I'm trying to add to this.

When you think that they going to say 50/50 when you miss this deadline?

Look, all I'm trying to tell you is what happened in the last scenario. That's all it is. Just asking for credit when it's due over the fact that they still late. That's it. But you couldn't. It took all of this just for you to finally acknowledge that.

I didn't, Christian.

See? Right now, you can't just acknowledge it. Because every time was about what I did wrong or what I didn't do right, instead of the surroundings of how it got that point. That's all I was trying to get at.

But Christian... We wouldn't even be having this conversation.

But because, again, because I didn't check every day. I know you're going to say.

I didn't say every day. We would be having this conversation about this had the mail not been in your hand right now. You would have never known.

But even if, because you checked right now it was sent late.

Christian!

That's all I'm saying.

Christian!

If you get it late, you, even if, hey, you would have never got it!

I'm done with it.

Again. If they had sent it to me in time, I would have gotten it earlier.

You blame everything! You're always the victim about your own thing!

I didn't say I was the victim. I'm just saying in this scenario they sent it to me late. That's all. I said.

How bout' you pick it up! And, and they sent it late. Since you want to say that, how bout' you pick it up later?

Na, nah, you didn't. Na, nah, that's even.

You didn't even pick it up. I picked it up.

Alright. The same thing with everything else, right?

I picked it up.

The same thing with everything else.

Cause guess what?

You probably wouldn't even got that when till-

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. One day, like next week.

Yeah, it just goes with anything else. It's the, principle of the fact.

You know what? And the principle is, stay on top of your affairs.

The principle is them sending it to me on time.

I'll tell you one damn thing. When I was on unemployment... I'm all over it! With my money!

Okay, and you can be all over it, but again it doesn't change the fact that they screw up and sent it late.

They screwed up?!

Yes! They screwed up. That's the whole point of me bringing up all of that stuff.

When they cut your damn money off... Because you're not staying on top of your correspondence.

Because they're not sending it to me on time.

And that's what you're going to tell them?

Yup.

Alright. You wait. We'll see if that's changed.

I'm just pointing my case here from the story, that's all. (Door closes.)
