Hey there, it's Tracy Matthews, chief visionary officer of Flourish & Thrive Academy. And I'm excited to be here today, chatting a little bit more about three rules that you need to be thinking about if you're ever doing an online promotion. So buy online promotion, I mean collection launch sale event for like a holiday, anything that you're really trying to get a big push of customers for a special event. So this is going to be helpful. This could also be used for like a live trunk show, we're gonna be talking about live selling on Thursday. So any any event where you are trying to get a lot of people to show up, and you want to have a great sales result, these are three things that need to be incorporated into that strategy. Now this is all part of a bigger online sales strategy that we're going to be digging into in a free challenge that we're having that starts next week. It's called Supercharge your online jewelry sales and we're going to be hosting it for five days. We're going to be digging in deep into some online sales strategies and helping you grow your business online enough we're gonna be wrapping it up with a an amazing masterclass on that Monday, where we're going to be talking about the five mistakes that jewelry business owners make when it comes to online sales and how to fix them. And it's going to be super fun. The thing I love about that masterclass is that most people don't even realize that they're making those mistakes, and it's actually killing their result in sales. So we're gonna dive deep into those things. And I'd love to invite you to join us head on over to flourish thrive academy.com forward slash supercharge for more details. All right, let's dive in. To this episode. Today, I'm going to be talking all about the three rules for planning your next online sales promotion specifically for jewelry designers. Let's dive in. This is a shorter episode. So I'm getting right to it. Rule number one, map out your promotion on a marketing calendar or plan. I know that I get into this habit too, of winging it at the last minute. And if you are someone who wants to get super organized and make sure that you do your best work, map it out in advance, have ideas for all the concepts that you're going to do and get ahead of the game. This is going to change the game for everyone. So on that plan, you want to have your social media content, you want to have your email content, you want to have any sort of live events or anything else that you're going to be doing. If you're creating blog content for this if you're doing any publicity, or any other type of outreach, anything marketing related, put it on that plan. Also SMS marketing. We talked about that last week. If you haven't listened to my episode with Taylor frame, it's epic. He's talking about what's working now for SMS is a really great interview. He's super eloquent and has a lot of great things to say about digital marketing. So you definitely want to listen to that episode if you missed episode 394. Super good. Now let's talk about Rule number two, send out more emails or SMS messages than you think are possible. Now we usually recommend anywhere from seven to 10 emails for promotion for a startup jewelry brand. You know, if you're more advanced, you might want to send more, if you're just starting out, you can send less, but I would tell you seven to 10 is usually the golden rule. And the format for these is that you want to send out a couple of teaser emails as you're getting closer to whatever that live promotion or event that you're doing. You want to send more emails more frequently, and pay attention to who's actually opening those emails to send them more emails. This is super important because this is going to help you get people to show up. That's the point of it. So many people are worrying about people opting out of their list or sending too many emails. People who opt out of your email list don't want to be there anyway. So don't worry about it. It's just this is about making a sale or promotion. And then rule number three follow up after the event to deliver a great experience and potentially upsell your customers on another item. This is a great strategy it works for live selling it works for follow up out in person shows to you it works for any He's sort of like online sales strategy. And we teach a little bit more about how to do that and are trained your customers to buy from you online program when we talk about upselling. But this is a great strategy that's going to help you grow and do amazing things for the long haul and also deliver a great experience for your customers. So this is my short episode today. Let me recap those rules. Rule number one, map out your entire promotion plan on a marketing calendar and get all of the assets on there. Rule number two, send out more emails or SMS messages or and SMS messages than you think. And rule number three, follow up after the event for an upsell or just to deliver a great brand experience. This is Tracy Matthews signing off. Until next time, I'm really looking forward to supporting you on your jewelry business journey and I hope that you will join us for the supercharge your online sales challenge. Ciao for now.
