Welcome to 90.9 the park your home for trailers for your favorite or soon to be favorite podcasts.
That's right. We're streaming live on your local radio station and bringing you trailers all the time non stop trailers here at the park.
I'm Ariel Nissen black, you're a disc jockey who's just a little trailer Kochi. We hope you're having a beautiful day today, trailer Parkers and
I'm Tim Vegas, your DJ who's not lazy when it comes to trailer selection. Let's get ready to start off the hour with a banger.
Okay, wow, welcome to trailer park, the podcast trailer podcast. That was our attempt at a shock jock intro. How do you think we did?
I think we did. Okay, I don't know. On this show. We bring you podcast trailers, usually one per episode. You play that trailer and then we break it down. We discuss what worked what didn't. And sometimes we hear from the creators of those very trailers.
We want to expose you to trailers for shows that you might love or learn something from but today we're doing something a little different. And
as the intro may have suggested, you've officially entered trailer park Power Hour. We're spending this episode of the show in a radio style trailer Athan, we're
going to introduce you to a trailer we're going to play it we're going to come back we're going to introduce you to another trailer we'll play it and so on and so forth. It's going to be trailer overload but in a good way.
And by the end of this episode we want you to find your next podcast to listen to. That's our goal. With
that DJ Tim, let's jump into our first ever trailer Power Hour. Our first one comes from a show that I love and listened to a bunch this weekend. Actually, I was on a kick for some reason. And I learned a lot and I think you will too just from the trailer. The trailer for this show is really the cream of the crop. It is just really really good. It's the music. It's the sound design all of it. It's a show about the world's most recognizable and interesting sounds. Here is the trailer for 20,000 Hertz.
I'm Dallas Taylor, host of 20,000 hertz, a lovingly crafted podcast about the world's most recognizable and interesting sounds. From music and video games to science and history. The world of sound is full of great stories.
The TIE Fighter was made with two main elements, the first being the sound of a car passing by a microphone on wet pavement. And then layered on top of that are these elephant growls, these horrible elephant growls.
You can choose between snares, you can start chopping up the membrane and rearranging the individual leads into other configurations. Pretty soon you start getting into some really interesting patterns and textures.
Whenever I'm doing recordings, the way I get to it is I say, hey, hey, hey, hey, here's Tom right there, there's Tom doing his thing. And he's loud and he's projected 20,000
hertz is crafted by a passionate team of professional sound designers. And that means that our episodes will always sound incredible and be jam packed with ear candy.
It turns out, what you need to do to make a year is basically have a cavity.
And then you need to stretch a membrane over that cavity
when a sound wave hits that membrane that causes it to vibrate. So the last thing you need is a neuron to perceive that vibration.
And this barely scratches the surface. We've also revealed the hidden stories behind the most iconic sounds to ever be created.
20,000 hertz is totally clean so you can listen with anyone including little ears. It's also intentionally surprising one episode may be hilarious while the next one is absolutely heartbreaking. Above all, it'll help you unlock your sense of hearing. To get in touch with your Sonic World. Follow 20,000 Hertz in your favorite podcast player. If you're already a listener, send this trailer to someone you know will love the show. If you're new here, I can't wait for you to listen.
Love this trailer area starting off a very strong thank you to Dallas Taylor for sending that trailer to us a while back. We're so glad to be able to show it off. It's one of my favorite shows too.
That's Dallas Taylor the trailer Slayer. There's something there.
There's something there. That wasn't it but
there is something there.
All right, next up. This one comes to us from the show Once Upon a wasteland submitted by I bread
once upon a time, 27 years after the bombs fell. There were two people, a Vault Dweller and a California girl they met and sparks Lou. That's when things got interesting. Once upon a wasteland is their story. Follow Elizabeth Kirby and Odessa Valdez as they pursue their happily ever after in the post apocalyptic Appalachian wasteland of Fallout 76. Available on Spotify, Apple podcasts, Stitcher and many other podcasting platforms once upon a wasteland of Fallout 76 lovestory available now.
That was the trailer for once upon a wasteland next up the trailer for a show called bonus babies submitted by Jane Amelia Larson. Bonus babies uses the power of storytelling to bring attention to the challenges faced by youth in foster care and inspire action to improve their fate. By sharing stories that highlight the experiences and struggles of young people in foster care. The program seeks to raise awareness about the need for better support and services for this vulnerable population. Let's hit play.
I always thought you know, I've always heard my foster family say that family is so important. But the people that hurt me the most was mountain family. So if that's family, I'm good. I don't want it.
The show that has no easy answers on the hard questions. Welcome to the bonus babies podcast. This is your host, Jane Amelia Larson. And I'm a CASA volunteer, a court appointed special advocate for youth in foster care. Yeah, I know it's a mouthful. In the same way a casa works. I explore all things in the foster care maze, by talking to kids, parents, caregivers, attorneys, social workers, therapists, anybody, and everybody who will speak to me to keep the conversation open, and the information flowing about all things cost.
And then I looked at I remember looking at the little boy, in as an adult, I can see he just needed attention and needed some care. But as a kid, I looked at him and I was like, You know what, when I grow up, I'm going to make sure that foster kids know that they are just as important as anybody else. And I just remember thinking that to myself and feeling that in that moment, I'm never as like, I'm just going to make sure that nobody thinks that they're better than foster kids in the foster kids are just as important as anybody else.
I think there's just such a stigma of just like when it comes to foster youth in their mental health. You seven, eight years old, forcing them into therapy and whatnot. And you know, the whole pills and whatnot. It just doesn't seem right to me. It doesn't seem right at all.
Since I've met my husband, and we've been married, we've been together 10 years, for the first time in my life. And I actually said this in my vows. I felt safe. The first time in my life. I was safe. I felt safe. And I felt loved. And I remember when I was competing Miss America girls would be like, Oh, I'm so happy. I want him Baba, you know. And I remember thinking myself, even when I won. I was like, this is cool, but I don't feel happy. It was just like, This is what you do to get another scholarship.
We feel that the children that we receive coming into our home hot bonuses, so we call them bonus babies.
Thank you to Jane for submitting the trailer for bonus babies. Let's take a quick break to hear from our sponsor.

In case you didn't know you can submit the trailer for your show by going to Trailer Park podcast.cr d.co. All of the trailers that we played today were submitted that way.
We could absolutely do trailer power hour more often. So let us know what you think. And for now, let's hit play on one more trailer. This one comes to us from Long Shadow rise of the far RIGHT. THANK YOU to John Patrick pullin for submitting, let's say play.
How did we get here? To this moment when politics have turned to violence in the streets? A moment when conspiracy theorists inhabit the halls of Congress,
many of our government are actively worshipping Satan, a
moment when the far right has become mainstream. I'm Garrett Graff, a national security journalist and historian. I've spent two decades covering federal law enforcement, intelligence and the war on terror. Now, America is engaged in another war right here at home, a war we've been losing. This is Long Shadow season to rise of the American far right. In the last season of long shadow, we explored the lingering questions of 911 and the effects of that tragic event on the present day, but over the past decade, it's become clear that the most pressing terrorism threat is right here at home, the
government has moved in force against the radical right, some of them say they are willing to die for the cause. This season,
we're going to go back to the beginning of the modern far right movement in the United States. We'll explore how the US government failed to confront the threat of domestic terror and how government mistakes allowed it to grow. How a movement with its roots in the Ku Klux Klan and America, centuries of white supremacy became a central animating force of the modern Republican Party. Stand back and stand by. We'll explore how the far right movement grew from a fatal shootout on a mountaintop in Idaho federal agents
found 13 year old Sam Weaver dead in a shed.
How it was fanned by a fiery fiasco on the prairies of
Texas fires is racing out of control, black smoke would indicate and lead to
devastation in Oklahoma City. The enormous explosion was the work of terrorists and how a rebel standoff in the wild west we will all die right here in place to defend the freedom of this country led to a riot on the steps of the US Capitol Building in Washington, DC. How did the far right go mainstream? how did America get this movement so wrong? And what will it take now to get it right? From long lead and campsite media? This is Long Shadow season to rise of the American far right. Subscribe now and get the first episode April 12, on Apple podcasts, Spotify, or at long lead.com.
Thank you, John. And thank you, Tim, for letting me curate the list of podcasts trailers that we had this episode. You know, we really were all over the place. We went from comedy to podcasts about kids to podcasts about, I don't know, wastelands and apocalyptic times. And then of course, we ended it on a pretty dark note, but a really great trailer. So thanks to him for that. Definitely.
