    Wherever

wherever you're ready, we gained three hits allow was working well for you tonight.

It was just trusting my spin. It's been a lot of work and just knowing my defense on my that

we're sort of talking about, I think it was a few weeks ago about how she wanted your bullpen out to translate to your starting out as well. Was that process been to have that translation happened and how do you think that was executed?

I think really, it's just having the mentality of trying to make games even though how hard it is to like, make practice feel like a game it's just really concentrating on the spirit and the spots and just in touch with

Lauren obviously, getting the the rest of recovery but only 73 pitches today for a complete game that's nowhere near as bad as it's been before. Just how important is it for you to get kind of the job done in such an efficient manner?

It's very important considering the three games and I mean, you never know what coaches plan is gonna be. It's just nice to be able to, like, evolve. It's it. I know the defense has it and I know we're gonna come into score run so it's just kind of releasing

your 18 for your last 39 which is one very resume and two, I guess what's my workouts last count month?

Oh, I just think trust in our offense that they'll get on for me and I'll just do whatever I can drive them in and once it gets down to two strikes just got to chip away and that's kind of what I did today. Didn't get some calls go my way but just worked through that. Obviously

the SEC is filled with elite pitchers having been able to sort of combat that and find success against some of the top pitchers in the nation.

We watch film before and that's like a big help because we kind of know what to expect and our coaches do a good job of going over their game plan. And our pitchers like to pick their changeups and that's really helpful. Whenever you have a pitcher with a really good changeup. You

talked about your coaches, obviously Olivia does a lot of the fact checking stuff. So you got a lot of insights about yourself and the other team. How much have you seen that that's been able to help especially in your first year here and their first experience with some of these advanced stats? Oh,

it's definitely it definitely helps whether I know I'm gonna get a pitch inside or outside knowing their tendencies and like when the change will come. It's a huge help.

For the outfield teams really big when they're out there and you have a lot of plays being made behind you defensively. So these past couple games for you have been really good, but you know, aside from how well you've been pitching, I mean, can you talk kind of about how the defense has stepped up these past couple series?

I mean, watching the practices alone is they're putting so much work they're getting in they're coming early, getting reps like talking about every situation that could possibly happen. And when we have our hitting stations, we have a shotgun group and there. It's like the most fun and most competitive thing we do, I think when we hit and it's just like everyone's out there making like diving plays trying to catch the ball or touches the ground and it's just, they're just putting in such hard work and we're making fun. So, I mean, there's

so, Abby, that's a really competitive spot at first base this year and you started the year. You know, it's kind of rough. I mean, as a true freshman in the SEC is probably going to be that way. So what's your path kind of this position been like and how have you kind of rolled that out to become like a regular everyday first baseman this year.

At the beginning of the year, I was just putting in all the work, I could just try and get out there and it wasn't happening. So I just kept working, put my head down work and then it's kind of paying off now. Talking

about putting in the hard work able to hustle one out to third base on that air. In the first inning. Just what was that going through your mind in that moment? What was that conversation like with La once you finally got there? Um,

our joke is that I'm kind of like Lightning McQueen, but not really so just unhooking the trailer and trying to get the third. I told Coach to put me in as a red light runner so I'm not going on much so it's kind of just a joke to my like my speed but Oh, on hook the trailer every now and then. What was it like for you to get the SEC Player of the Week? Oh, it was pretty cool. If you'd have told me five years ago, before I started playing softball that I would have been SEC player of the week I wouldn't have like not believed you at all but I think my team has like pushed me to get where I am today and I wouldn't have got that word without them.

Asking Wesley she was pretty solid and I one thing I was working really well for was her OSFI pitches and that's something that verse just talked about. You all been struggling a bit with this year. How's that adjustment process coming in, however, you will adjust throughout tonight and

practice we've been working on sitting back on the changeup so we'll have a machine that's thrown soft and one that's done hard. And we've been doing really good working on that and I think tonight she really was hurt Jada was working really well and I think just trusting in letting it get deep and not getting out from it.

Out of you talk about the rest of your hitters in your lineup and being able to see them get hits obviously Jenna, Alex, and then Maddie all had very good days in front of you. How important is it to see them get hits in front of you and being able to kind of drive them in that sort of way.

Oh, it's very important. Seeing them get to get hits just makes me like so much more confident that my other teammates are getting it so I should be able to so just like having them in front of me is a huge help.

Okay, this is a question for both of you. Can you explain Natalie in the chair because like we've, we've seen it up here and we've got lots of questions that I feel like you guys to be able to answer that's for your class.

And I just see a chair in there like what the heck.

So if you strike out you go take a seat on the bench, so they're just on the chair. After a strikeout she needs to go sit down. Lauren did a good job tonight.

freshmen come up with something new every single week. I can't keep up anymore.

nother thing we saw was obviously the weed was your face on the like clipboard that you guys have with the phrase dumb is dumb.

Softball, so congrats. Oh, it is.

Oh, no. Yeah, I was coached for Halloween this year. And she has a clipboard that says dumb is dumb with her face on it in a interview head says I'm like oh, I got one of those. And I put it on my clipboard. And it's been there for five years.

Abby like 1718 months ago your face and battle and Hackman and who is Catholic you go from that to you know, be in one of the teams leading batters in SEC play. I mean, you're what 400 now? Probably. It's 449 That's crazy. So what's that adjustment been like for you? And I mean, how have you kind of settled into that and be you know, you look at you look confident out there. Um,

it's definitely been quite a big adjustment. Just the speeds and the spin is completely different. And sec and I think just all the work I've put in is with like all the coaches and then just players that will go into extra I think it's really paying off and just trusting myself and trusting my moves not getting in my head too much. Just kidding make sure those windows get Yeah.

I mean, sorry. Anything else? You love Rachel. Rachel is great. We're good. Thanks for Thanks.
