As it's my privilege and pleasure to welcome you to Downing Street, particularly as we come up the back of the work we've just done on energy security and in a world which seems increasingly unstable with an uncertain future, it is so good that we are working so closely together on so many issues, defense and security, our thinking aligned on vital issues like Ukraine, but also on trading the economy, which, again, we see the world is changing. And so I'm really pleased that we've committed to a reset about relationship, a really important relationship, which I think will be a huge benefit to both of us, but it is hugely my privilege to welcome you here very warmly as a colleague, a fellow leader, but also as a friend, to discuss the very issues of common concern. Thank you very much indeed.

You just turned off. I boss, same interests and the same values. We face the same challenges, but we are complementary and also in defending our democracy. And I think there are three topics which we want to raise today. The first one is a need, security, offense, we will discuss Ukraine. We are very supportive of and thank you for the defense efforts. But since day one, we also have emphasized all the time how important it is that Ukraine sovereignty and territorial integrity is non negotiable. And from day one on, we have supported together in Ukraine, and we will continue to do so. We both also see that. On the other hand, at the same time, Europe has to step up its defense expenditure, we will discuss that. I very much welcome that quite a few number of countries has recently announced a substantial increase of defense expenditure and bilaterally, of course, we will discuss work on a strategic security and defense partnership between Europe, which might pave the way then to a joint procurement and prepaid participation in our Safe Program. I'm very glad that we had just seen Energy Conference. It was excellent, and indeed we discussed that the more sea is has enormous potential to be a clean energy powerhouse. Investors since many years, are waiting to start what they need is regulatory consistency and predictability, and this is something which together, we can handle. And I think the third topic we want to raise here together is the topic of migration. We share the same objective. We have always fulfilled our international obligations. We have done this for the past. We do this today, and we will do it tomorrow, but it is us Europeans who decide on who is coming to Europe and under what circumstances, and Marcus, Marcus and transplants. So there's a lot

not to discuss. We have to be separated and the right up to our summit. It's an excellent brand.

Thank you so thank you so much.
