Hey, hey y'all looks like we're live I had actually issues with my computer so I'm live on my phone because resourceful if we haven't met yet, my name is Sylvie McCracken, and I help health professionals create their online courses, ditch the one on one replace the one on one with an online course with an online program and have more freedom for their life and, of course be able to impact way more humans while they do it. And today, I wanted to chat about perfectionism because first of all, I just got off of our client call, which is every Thursday and I just I'm always on fire coming out of talking to my faves. And, you know, we chatted about all kinds of things. Perfectionism being one of them. And a little bit meta because yesterday I created some content for our program, I shot some videos and by I mean you know, my team and I because I got a lot of help. I have a lot of help for sure. But we did it quick and dirty. We did it like just like you see me you know, and I don't even think I have mascara on today. I didn't even have mascara on yesterday and certainly can't be bothered with makeup y'all pretty much never. And you know, we just kind of hit the hit the record button and you know and got going and if you're popping on live would love love, love to hear what type of health professional you are and where you're joining us from. So definitely let us know in the comments. I will be able to come and see them all when I'm done with a Facebook Live, so we'd love to chat with you. But yeah, so you know, perfectionism. You know what's interesting is I was reflecting yesterday as I was creating this content quick and dirty. And I definitely am a recovering perfectionist. So I would love to hear if I've got any other perfectionist in the group. But I feel like I'm a recovering perfectionist myself. And I was reflecting on how years ago to create that same content. First of all, I would have overthought it to death. I've done it. I've done it you guys I am I am. I am this. I am you. I am the perfectionist and you know, I would have overthought it to death, I would have delayed it to death, I would have procrastinated to death, I would have been like, Well, like I have to do it on Friday the 13th because whatever, whatever. So I would have done that. And I would have been like, Okay, I gotta hire hair makeup. Lighting, like what's the perfect what's the best, you know, Diva Ring Light microphone. Like all the things by the way, this purchase. Here's a microphone here, which I'm not even using, I'm using whatever microphone is inside the iPhone, right? The second. That was a purchase from 2016 From a whole heap of perfectionism slash procrastination slash whatever this thing came to the Middle East with me, and is now back and it works just fine. So I'm going to keep it until the darn thing breaks, which is my approach to technology nowadays. But it hasn't always been this way. But I wanted to bring up this conversation because I have talks with health professionals all the time chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopathic doctors, you name it, you know, in terms of different types of health professionals that want to do something other than their one on one practice, they want to go online, they want to create an online program, or really they want to work when and where they want, it just so happens that an online program is a lot of is usually the best way to do that. The most efficient, fastest path to do that. And you know, and a lot of them don't want a lot of guys don't want to even replace your your private practice entirely because you love you know, some of your one on one clients and patients, but you want to have more freedom, more time for your family, all that good stuff. And a lot of the times what I'll hear is things like Yeah, but now's not the right time. Or, you know, I'm thinking about I'm thinking about thinking about it. I'm getting ready to get ready, right. And staying in this indecision, cul de sac for ages, a lot of times for months, for sure. But a lot of the times those months become yours accidentally, accidentally, I don't think anyone sets out and says, I'm going to think about this for three years. But that's what ends up happening because you're not taking action. So I want you to think about in terms of that perfectionism, whether it is you know, the perfectionism is holding you back from getting started. So you're like, I don't have the perfect topic. And I you know, for my course, and so I'm not going to do one or I don't, you know, I don't have 40 hours a week to devote to this. So I'm going to take no action or whatever it might be. So if it's if it's perfectionism that's keeping you from getting started. Or maybe it's, you know, I don't know, maybe it's like legal hangups, right? This happens with our clients a lot is like, should I do an LLC or an S corp, or a sole proprietor or 6 million other things? Or you know, what kind of legal ramifications what insurance? Do I need all these different things? Now, don't get me wrong, all those things are important, and we need to answer those questions and we have a whole legal module in our program for a reason. I'm not making light of legal or accounting IRS don't come from me. A lot of y'all okay. But, you know, the reality is, a lot of times it's just quick and dirty questions that we need to get answers to, or we need to write have the right contract in place or something like that. And it's really a 15 minute task and not a 15 month task. Okay, I'm gonna say that again, it's a 15 minute task, not a 15 month tasks. So I'm wondering what right now are you making a 15 month task out of a 15 minute task?
And I say that with love, you know, and by the way, talking to the old me Fly girl, you did that so many times I did, I did that so many times. And nowadays I just call my it's not that I don't get into perfectionist ruts myself, whenever I do something new, usually that pops up again, my old friend perfectionism, but I can, I can recognize it sooner, I also have a circle of friends that will call me on it unapologetically sooner, and I can usually get myself out of it faster. So instead of becoming 15 months, maybe it's like 15 days, right? And so that's really the challenge that I have for you is a big, you know, and sometimes what you need is quote, unquote, a slap in the face, don't worry, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna actually commit assault. But what you need is to call yourself out on it, what you need is the slap in the face of figurative slap in the face of really doing the math on how much you're losing per month. Right? I don't know about y'all. But that works for me when it's like, if this is a it's like, what's the projected income on this, and I like to keep the numbers simple, you already know me, I don't wait to do math. It's complicated in my head. But you know, if it's $10,000 a month you plan on making with this or $20,000 a month for some of you, it's $100,000 a month, whatever that number is, multiply it by how many months, you've already been thinking about it. Now, does that mean that month one, you're going to come out of the gate and make $100,000? No. But the longer you delay starting, the longer you delay getting to that month, it is literally costing you money in not in opportunity costs. It's costing you money and all this income that you haven't made. And for a lot of people, I actually see it costing tangible money in progress as well, where, you know, I've had people go create an LLC and spend money on that I've had people go create websites, I've had people hire social media managers, or spend money on Facebook ads or whatever, without having a plan. All of that money would have probably been better, better spent going into the backyard spending less time on this and just lighting up lighting a match lighting a lighter into the lighting those hundreds on fire, because it's about the same results about the same ROI. So my challenge to you and I just told this to my clients, I just want to repeat it to you as well give you the same challenge. And of course, if you are not already a client, what are you doing with your life? If you are a health professional and you want to create an online program, if you want to have more freedom in your life, definitely check out our advanced private training go to Sylvie mccracken.com, forward slash apply. And of course, if we're a good fit, and if you'd like to join our program, you know, if it's the right fit, let's do it. But anyway, side note on all that. What I told our clients today, which I would love, love, love to offer you this strategy, which is what I do with myself when I see myself kind of going in the spiral of like, you know, thinking overthinking too much, or, you know, yeah, getting ready to get ready not making a decision is I just give myself a deadline. I just give myself a deadline where I'm like, Okay, I don't know, right, the second high on mine, though. Hi, Chris. You know, I don't know, right? The second one, I'm gonna do I need more information. I need answers to these couple of questions, like I just mentioned, and if you popped on, you know, late, definitely watch the replay of this, because we talked about all kinds of things. But maybe you need a little quick call with a lawyer or whatever it might be. We've definitely had clients in those spots where it's like, is this filing in my noncompete? Like some legit, you know, legit reasons why we might need to find out more information before hitting go before saying yes, no problem. But give yourself a deadline, by when are you going to make a decision? Even if that decision is no, the decision is I'm gonna stay in my day job. I love my 12 hour night shifts. I'm gonna do this till I die which might come sooner than later depending on what those niches look like. Even if that's a decision that's totally okay. But by when are you going to make it because this indecision thing or this tricking yourself into I'm going to do I'm going to decide later, you really are making a decision. You're you're deciding No. Okay, you're quitting before even starting. So I like to always like for myself, I'm like, I'm gonna make a decision by Friday, right? That's just my like,
I just don't want to go into the weekend clear on certain things. So I will usually, if anything, I'm so decisive that a lot of the times I'm making decisions within minutes. So sometimes I'm actually telling myself, you must sleep on this for one night with certain things. And you know, and just but giving myself that decision making deadline of like by Friday, just what is your gut say? What is your gut telling you? Are you going to do this thing or not? Whatever you do, stop going in circles for sure. Don't you know, please give up the idea that it's got to be perfect, spoiler alert. It will not be even when you join our program, even with all of our help, and we have incredible, incredible team. I can't even take credit for this. This team is so much better than I am at so many things. But even with our help, it won't be perfect like we expect it because if it's perfect first of all, we waited too long and we've been dilly dallying, like we want to launch it good enough to get feedback, be iterative, make changes and take it from there. So please stop thinking it's got to be perfect. It never will be and would love love, love to hear from you. If you are a health professional definitely Hit the link below Sylvie mccracken.com forward slash apply and we'd love we'd love to have a chat and see if it's a good fit for us to work together to create your online program get the results that our clients are getting have more freedom and more time in your life make more money and make more impact in the meantime bye for now I will see you guys really really soon
