We're celebrating 100 episodes today. Yes, we have released 100 episodes here on clocking in. And I'm so thrilled that you are a part of our listening audience and that you are here to celebrate with us. So, a lot of times people will do special things for their 100th episode. And I thought pretty hard about this if I wanted to do something where I bring a bunch of people in and ultimately decided that I wanted to use this as a way to serve you and share a little more about how you, as a podcaster can celebrate with your podcast, especially on milestone episodes. So today, I'm going to share a few different types of content that you can create for your celebration episodes. Hey, y'all, welcome to the clocking in Podcast, the podcast for podcasters entrepreneurs and professionals making their way in the working world while building their own personal brand in the podcasting industry. I'm your host Haylee Gaffin, owner of Gaffin creative a podcast production company for creative entrepreneurs. If you're a podcaster, or even just dreaming about launching your own podcast someday, this show was built to help you merge your love of conversation, education and business. You can find resources, show notes and more for the clocking in podcast at Gaffin creative.com. Now let's clock in and get to work. Okay, if you are celebrating a podcast episode of some capacity, whether it's a year anniversary, two years, three years, four years, or maybe you're just celebrating a milestone 25 episodes, 50 episodes 100 episodes like this one, there are a few ways that you can actually celebrate and create a special type of podcast episode content. So let's walk through what some of those could look like. Number one is that you could host a special guest. So maybe that's your very first guest who rejoined you, it could be someone related to your special topic of your podcast. Or maybe it's just someone who's helped you get here with your podcast that could be a best friend, a business partner, any type of guests that could help you celebrate your special milestone. Now the second way is that you can host a q&a, a q&a of listener questions because if you don't already host like ongoing q&a episodes, this is a special way to kind of invite your listeners to join you in podcasting, whether it's through them sending in pre recorded voice memos asking you questions. And there are tools for this, like SpeakPipe, where you can share a link with your audience. And they can actually record into that, and it sends it directly to you. So you could have them write in questions, fill out a form, you speak pipe or some other tool like that, and include them in your podcast episode. And then number three, you can take a trip down memory lane, maybe it's revisiting some of your favorite moments or episodes from the past, you know, 99 episodes, if it's 100, it could be a compilation of really important highlights or memorable interviews. And you can talk through those. The other thing you can do is just reflect on your journey through the podcasting. Experience, what you've learned, how it has transformed whatever your goal is what you're trying to get to where you envision yourself, taking them down that journey. And down memory lane essentially, is going to help them connect with you and see a little behind the scenes. Which speaking of behind the scenes, that is the fourth thing you can do, you can share a behind the scenes of your podcast. So this could include what your podcast setup looks like, especially if you see others who are interested in podcasting and want to learn more. The other thing you can do is share some of the challenges you faced memorable experiences on like pitching a guest and getting them to say yes and how that felt or the first interview you actually had or the first mistake you made or whatever that behind the scenes looks like. I think it really humanizes you as a podcast host, especially to those listeners who don't know you one on one and on a personal level. Now, the fifth thing that I want to highlight is as you are celebrating whatever your milestone is, you can host a live event. This could even mean that you are recording that special episode during the live event. So consider hosting itself Write that milestone it could be in person or it could be virtual. Wherever you are, however you want to bring your listeners together, and have them feel like they are part of it. And especially with all of the tools that are out there. Now, it is so easy to host a live event. One thing you can do too is you can always host something in like Riverside and stream it to a Facebook group or stream it to a Facebook page or whatever you're looking to do. Make sure you're using that event to also create content. That's why I think it's so important that like, if you're hosting a live event, maybe that's your 100th episode, or that your 25th episode, whatever, you know the celebration episode that you're doing, find a way to incorporate that live event into it. Now the sixth thing you can do to celebrate and it's not necessarily a content piece, but more of a incentive to get people involved is to do a giveaway, you could consider giving something away to celebrate your podcast milestone, it could be a prize related to your your podcast or topic, or even something related to your business, maybe you're giving a service away. Or maybe maybe you're giving a seat to your membership away. But a giveaway is a great way to get your listeners involved and sharing about you on social media. Now, number seven, and this is something I think could be highlighted and incorporated into multiple things. But highlighting your listener feedback. So like this does not just have to be a celebration episode. But share some of the feedback or reviews you've received from your listeners in the time that you've been recording and releasing a podcast is a great way to acknowledge them, thank your listeners for their support, but also they feel so seen when you say their name on your podcast. And number eight is on a very similar note. And that is if you are a business based podcast, a great way to celebrate milestone episode is to bring on either client or students of yours, who have worked one on one with you who have seen you transform their business, your podcast adding to their business. But when you are allowing your customers to come onto your podcast share about you while also highlighting themselves. It makes them feel good. It allows your listeners to kind of see it an inside look behind the scenes of your business without you actually having to be the one to sell them on it. But they are getting real feedback and real insight into what it looks like to work with you especially if they're on the fence about working with you like if they're like, oh, is this worth the investment or anything related to money. People need that extra push and hearing directly from your customers is a great way to do it and celebrating a milestone episode by highlighting that it's a great way to celebrate. Now those are just eight ways you can celebrate your 100th episode. So remember, however you want to celebrate, make sure you're having fun, because you have put a lot of hard work and dedication into your podcast in whatever milestone that you are hitting. I hope this is a helpful episode for you especially if you are celebrating or approaching the celebration of a very special episode. Congratulations on reaching that milestone and I am so excited to see what you come up with for your next celebration episode.
