Do you have a one that got away a certain corner of your heart reserved for someone for whom you've always wonder what is today we're jumping right into the deep end and exploring exactly that. I'm Alicia rice.
And I'm Sara Wintel. Welcome to lovestruck daily where we bring you love stories and good feels every day I'm in love with you I'm in love with you. Alicia, do you have a one that got away?
No.
I don't either. I kind of tied up my my now husband in senior year and tossed him over my shoulder was like Alright, that's good. I mean, we didn't get together till we were in college. But, ya know, the ones who got away went away on for good purpose. Yes,
like I do not pined for anybody. I don't pined for any x. I read this great book a few years ago called attached which I referenced a lot because I think it's so clever and some people don't really believe in the science of it or whatever but it's about attachment theory and how people are differently attached and I think I'm kind of on the border of either you know, secure attachment sometimes and anxious attachment sometimes but they say that in the book and one thing I kind of always tried to remember is that people who are avoidant Lee attached often have ones who got away and and also people with you know, other attachments as well. But But I used to tend to date people who were very avoidant Lee attached, and they always came back to me, like they always always came back to me, and I was like this weird cycle.
I can see why because you are fabulous and giving, but they were not deserving of what fabulousness you were giving?
Well, thank you, thank you. But it is something where they're like, you know, the I think that they would keep like an ideal in their head of you know, and they wouldn't be like, Oh, well, this one got away. And so I always associated something very negative with the idea of the one who got away, because that was the experience I had. I don't think it's a you know, now that I'm older and I'm safe from them, I don't think that I necessarily consider it like a negative thing. But it's not. It's not a phenomenon I'm just intimate with because once I'm once someone goes out of my life, I don't really care to have them back. Yeah, like I don't pined for them. Like it's not. I'm sad. You know, like, sometimes I'm sad, or I missed them, but I don't, I don't think of them as like, oh, this like perfect person got away from me.
I often think about choices that I didn't make opportunities that I had, that I didn't take and what they what that would have changed my life, what that would have done. I once got accepted into graduate school in Australia, and was seriously thinking about going and had a very vivid dream that I had made that choice and I was there and I was miserable. Oh, and I think it was my my unconscious or my sleeping brain saying this choice will have repercussions in ways that you may not be thinking about, about things that are already important to you because I was with Adam and he was like, yes, you should go and when you know we'll figure it out. And I was miserable in the whole dream. And I'm glad I didn't go because I was also on a path that wasn't for me. And I know that now and I read recently what is there a word for the pictures on social media that are like a square with words on them? Like quote grammes. A meme? Are those stills mean? Yeah. pictures but anyway, okay, so I saw a meme. That was don't make people a priority in your life. Who see you as an option?
Yeah. Ooh. Oh, that hurts. Yeah. All right. I
want to have deliberate intentional relationships in my life because my energy is finite. And I want to
choose where I put it. Yeah, that's absolutely true and very, very wise.
Well, today, we are so excited to welcome two very special guests onto the show. First off, we have Lilly, who is here to tell us about their one who got away. And secondly, Dana DeFranco, based out of Chicago, Dana is a professional astrologer combining traditional and modern techniques, psychology and philosophy to help clients understand their pasts and plan for their futures. She is the co host of allegedly astrology a podcast you should definitely check out. Please welcome Lily and Dana.
Hi, both of you. Thank you so much for joining us. We really appreciate it. Happy to be here. Dino, thank you so much for coming. Can you tell us a little bit about your practice? How did you get into it?
It was definitely because of a guy like always. Yeah, I stopped talking to a guy who I'd been hooking up with he like hooked up with my friend on a day um Have an eclipse and I like just heard about the eclipses that day. And I was like, Oh, well, he was a Eclipse out of my life. And then, and then when that Eclipse series happened the next summer, then we became friends. I mean that that guy, so then I was like, okay, astrology is real. And then I was kind of just like doing it in chats with my friends. And like I would get I've been super into it like reading bugs and stuff. And then, right before the pandemic, I started practising, like, professionally and reading charts. And then my friend, Elise, who I did the podcast with, I have it a podcast, allegedly astrology. She said, like, we were doing nothing during the pandemic. And she was like, let's like, get, let's like, do the podcast. So then now I have pretty much boosted my business, from the podcast, and we focus on world events, celebrity gossip, like we're not really relegated to one section, but it is probably generally stuff that's women interests. And for the most part, I would say,
That's awesome. Lily, why don't you give us a little bit of a rundown of what is your story? Who are you looking for? And how did you come to be here?
My cousin actually told me about you guys in your podcast. I listened to a couple episodes yesterday. So that was fun. Awesome. Yeah, it was great. But originally from California, born and raised in LA moved out to Philly. It for college, and I've been here kind of ever since. I know we're talking about the one that got away today. So we're gonna be talking about my college boyfriend. We started dating in college. We dated for I think, two and a half years officially unofficially, like four years. We stayed together until we graduated. We stayed together for like six months after graduation. And then life got a little real. I wanted to move in with him and kind of get more serious and he just wasn't ready for it. Yeah, so he went to med school, actually, kind of six months after we broke up. So that's really why he didn't, wasn't ready to settle down and whatnot. And at the moment, he had another girlfriend for like a year and a half. They just broke up like I would say, four months ago. And just like that, right when they broke up, we kind of started talking again, so he kind of just came back into my life. Yeah, little tea. So. So not sure what we're really doing at the moment if we're gonna get back together if we're just kind of feeling it out. But yeah, so I have a lot of questions myself. So.
And how long has it been since you've broken up now? How many years? Three years now? Three years. So he's still in medical school? Yeah. Yeah. All right. And it's he's International. He's somewhere. Yes. He
lives in Barbados. Okay.
Okay. Yeah. Have you consulted in astrologer before about this? Or is this I have not seen him now. Have you? Have you ever seen an astrologer before?
I have not. I'm very excited. Okay.
What brought you sort of to this? Do you just want information about what's in your future or closure?
I'm curious to see just what yeah, what's gonna happen? I'm very into I'm very into astrology. I think it's 100% real. It's definitely he's a Pisces, too, if that helps you out at all? It does. Yeah, he's a Pisces. But I yeah, just curious to kind of see what is gonna happen in the future for me. Okay. Well,
I mean, lucky for you, we have an astrologer. Right? Well, we don't want to we don't want to hold up this morning any longer this moment? Yeah. So why don't why don't the two of you sort of do why don't you want to do this reading.
It is time to take a brief break to hear from one of our lovely sponsors. We'll be right back.
So looking at your chart, first of all, you're a Taurus rising, and the eclipses right now are happening in Taurus and Scorpio. So every six months or so there will be eclipses in Taurus or Scorpio in from November 2021, through October 2023 is the time when ever there's eclipses happening in someone's first and seventh house. Those are going to be times when major relationships relationship issues like start and you know, it's going to be centred around relationships and you and it's going to be significant. Okay? Because like, Okay, so two years ago, probably when you broke up would have been a 12th house here, which you have a lot of planets in your 12th house. Okay. Like that would be a year that were probably a lot of action happened at age 23. And so, yeah, and then let it
let action.
Awesome. And then yeah, so then 24 was your first house you're now you're in your 25th year we're in your second house, also focusing on like salary and then just sort of like how you support yourself but so your second house is Gemini and the planet that rules Gemini is mercury. So Mercury is what's called your timeline for your the year it's like your most important planet for age 25. Mercury Retrograde will probably be more significant for you. I don't know if you started talking to your ex when Mercury was retrograde but That would be interesting. Yeah, we did. So then all of these Mercury Retrogrades are going to be significant for you. And it is interesting too, that you started talking during the last Mercury Retrograde because that was sort of a preview into what's going to be happening from October 30 through January 12, which is when Mars will retrograde in Gemini. So it's sort of like that was like the first retrograde in Gemini, which is like a mini tour into possibilities of like, what will occur, and then the next one is going to be like the big show.
Oh, great. This was this was the small show. Yeah. Well,
also, Mercury also rules your fifth house, which is the house of like everyone you've ever hooked up with. And also like having fun and leisure. So it's like the fun house. It's, it's committed relationships are like the seventh house, but they're also in the fifth house, because you have to be able to have fun with your partner. So like, that's where you start. And then your natal Mercury is in your 12. Which means that maybe when you're like, in isolation is when you're getting some of these answers, you know, like you, I don't know, if you were like, I don't know what inspired you to write into a podcast to try and you know, work this out. But like, that can be a time sort of like just these like things will come to you. Yeah, but then also mercury will retrograde from September 9 to October 2, and during that time, it will retrograde from Libra which is your sixth house back into your fifth house. So that would I was looking at a time when if you were to talk to like get back together, that might be a time.
Okay. It's so funny because I have I'm supposed to go to his sister's wedding during that time. Okay.
Interesting. So
you don't want to say you're in with a family too. So? Yeah, this is good. Also, I should say, I can't like looking at your chart, I can make like predictions for your relationships. I can't say necessarily for him. But I already have a story going on in your life, it will apply to that story. Right. So yeah, I would say that this relationship is probably what the big eclipses are about in your life.
Okay. Lily, do you have any specific questions for Dana? Based on on the reading sort of that she's gone through? Yeah.
So for that month, when my moons are coming out in like November and October, should I be more cautious? Or should I be more you know, outgoing,
I would be like more in touch with how you're feeling? Maybe journaling could be I always run a length. I know. It's what it's what works. But especially since you're in a Mercury year, like it could be a year when you're talking to yourself, especially since you're Mercury's in your 12. So yeah, like right now you're saying like, do I you know, go back to him. It seems like you're hesitating like living that hesitation, like let him like if he flounders and like He's not worth it. But it seems like you guys have history and he's probably not a complete. Flounder.
Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. I think I'm just gonna kind of go with the flow and see what happens, I guess. Because it's like, what else am I gonna do? As far as rising?
I mean, I think I think some things can't be. Yeah. You're I'm also a Taurus rising. And I know it's like really hard to accept that. You can't control it. Someone else's doing. Yeah.
Yeah. It's terrible. It's the worst thing ever.
So I do love the, like, I love the what you said Dean about living in the hesitation, because I think that is so important and such a vital thing. And not a lot of people think about doing like, if you're hesitating about something, I don't think it's a bad thing to really contemplate why that hesitation is there. For sure.
I couldn't agree more. Yeah. It's really funny that you say, you know, it's hard not being able to control everything because I feel like I'm looking for so much control right now in my life. It's like I want I want to know what's what's happening? What's going to happen. Like, I want everything to be planned out perfectly, but it's just not the case for me right now. So
yeah, the eclipses are really going to shake it up.
shook up enough.
Dana, are there any parting words you want to leave Lily with?
Yeah, hold on. Don't do anything. I've never seen a Taurus make any quick movements. But then I guess also Taurus sometimes holds back too much. So if you do feel like there's something you could say the moment
strikes I think I say enough.
I guess I mean, just trust yourself. Like you, I it's gotten you this far. And you do seem to have a handle on your emotions. So I feel like just don't do something because you think you should but do it because like you feel
it. Okay. So trust my gut, basically. Yeah. Yes. Simple. All right.
Okay. Yeah, I think that's fair. Dana, was that the advice that you would give listeners about love or about astrology? Like is that is that sort of your go to advice? I think it's good advice.
Absolutely. I think astrology is really helpful for confirming what we already know. And sometimes it is really good to like, see, like, Okay, this is gonna be a really bumpy road, but then knowing when something will end, but for the most part, people feel really relieved when something wasn't just in their head or it wasn't something that just had happened to them? It was sort of all in the plan, I suppose. Yeah, like a greater cosmic event.
Willie, do you have any plans after this?
Yeah, I guess I'm just gonna, I get to see him in like two months. So when he's gonna come visit for a week, so I guess we'll just see how that goes. And from for the time being, we'll give them a couple of drunk facetimes every other week, you know, awesome, but I don't really have much of a plan now. Just kind of going with it.
That's that's I think that that's and I yeah, I wish you the best where?
Yeah, let us know what happens.
I will Yeah, there will definitely be a lot of follow up so great. I will let you guys know.
Well, we're on the internet. Can we find you Dana and Lily if you want to be found?
We are at allegedly astrology on Instagram. Allegedly. astrology.com allegedly Astro on Twitter.
And I'm just Lily went on everything. Just first and last name li l y when WINB.
Lis. We're very invested now.
We'll see if I go to his sister's wedding. Yeah, the next video.
Yeah, we are rooting for you. I mean, even if it's not with him, where are you? Yeah. Good luck. And thank you so much. Both of you really, really appreciate this.
You Thank you.
Thank you guys.
That was such a good conversation. Sarah, what is your love to go for this episode?
I think the love to go for this episode is to listen to your instincts and trust yourself. I think it's hard to listen to your internal guide. But from what Dana was saying, and from what Lily was saying, I think listening to yourself is always a good move.
