I'm something of a lucid dreamer, if you aren't familiar with it, lucid dreaming means that when you dream, you actually know you're dreaming and can even sometimes control what you do in the dreams. When my wife and I were first married, I would totally freak her out because I would wake myself up out of a dream. And it typically started with me, softly moaning. And then it gradually grew louder until it was a scream, my heart would race and then her heart would race. It was frankly embarrassing. Now, she just ignores it when it happens. And even though it hasn't happened in a while, when I dream, I still realize that I'm dreaming. I'm Tim Vegas, and this is trailer park, the podcast trailer podcast on this show, we bring you podcast trailers, we press play on them, and then we analyze them. We absolutely love podcast trailers. But wait a second, who is we? Usually I co host this show with Ariel in this flat, but we're testing out a new format today. You will hear from her though, later in the show, I promise. So back to it. Dreams dreaming. What is your relationship with dreaming? Do you have dreams that you're flying or your teeth are falling out or you show up naked to a class or performance? Well, this week's trailer is all about what happens in our heads when we go to sleep. And I'll explain that in a minute. It comes from Mindy and Brooke, they are the CO hosts of revelations. All right trailer heads, what did we think of this one? So before we get into what we liked, or could be improved, you know how Ariel and I always tell you, you can always update your trailer. Mindy and Brooke took this to heart. And when we reached out to them to let them know that they were selected for our show. They said, Hey, we have a new trailer. Do you mind if we send that to y'all? And of course we said yes. Because that's just who we are. So here is Mindy and Brooks updated trailer. And then I'm gonna let erielle go first with her voice clip. And then I'll tell you what I think.

Okay, Ariel, I've got three questions. One, what did you notice? That was different about Mindy and bricks? new trailer? Two, did you think it was an improvement? Three? And what is one thing you loved about both trailers? Hey, Tim,
and hey, trailer Parkers or trailer heads as you said, I love that. First of all, thank you, Tim for making it so easy for me asking me three distinct questions that I can just reply to you. So the first question, what did I notice that was different about the new trailer? The most obvious thing is the music and I loved the music. I thought it was perfect. I thought it was kind of eerie, but kind of sci fi I thought it was just it fit really, really well. Did I think it was an improvement? Absolutely. I did. I thought it told us more about what to expect. I thought it gave us more of the CO hosts flavor. You know a little bit about their friendship. They gave us some exposition, how they got to where they are today. And what is one thing that I loved about both of the trailers what I loved about trailer one, the CO hosts did a great job bringing in also into trailer two which is that it's not a straightforward here's what you're gonna get on this show. Here are our names. Yes, we get all that information. But we also are brought into the world of dreams, right? They invite us to a sleepover. So we're already picturing ourselves in this space. We're getting into the mindset of where we need to be in order to best consume the show. So they invite us to a sleepover Don't be the first to fall asleep. I loved that line and in trailer one. And in trailer to the same effect is there for us we are invited to hang out with these two best friends who have known each other since sleepover days and we are here to explore our dreams together. I really liked that it's physically asking us to go somewhere in addition to us, you know, maybe going for a walk while we listen to this podcast while we listen to the trailers for this podcast. So big fan of the change from trailer one to trailer to also a big fan of the CO hosts of the show. They have been actually part of the squad cast community for a while. So I've been aware of Mindy and Brooke so thank you for submitting to trailer park, the podcast trailer podcast. Now back to you, Tim.
Thanks, Ariel. Great stuff as per usual. I'm really impressed with Mindy and Brooke because even with getting selected to be featured on trailer park, they realize that their trailer could be improved. Not only did they think that, but they did something about it. So amazing work, y'all. Here are some thoughts about the trailers one, the first trailer was under one minute, which is probably a little too short, in my opinion. But the new trailer clocked in at over two minutes, I could probably be convinced that this trailer could be one and a half minutes. See, I can be flexible to the sound design. The first trailer sounded great. But the second one was fantastic. You could really tell they spent some time crafting it, thinking about music and thinking about their overall Vocal Performance three, information. Creativity is important to a trailer but I also want information and the new trailer had it all the topics that they were going to cover the host backstories and where I could listen to the podcast, overall solid trailer, and hopefully an inspiration to those of you who want to update your own trailer. Thank you to Mandy and Brooke for sharing the trailer for revelations. If you want to listen to the show, search for it wherever you get your podcasts also, we'll link it in our show notes.
