Everyone, please. Well, this call is being recorded. We'll get started in a couple minutes. Okay, minutes past. Welcome everybody got some new faces here if you haven't given yourself an intro to this, this group yet, would love to take a minute and let that happen. Jackson if you want to maybe start since you're kind of new to the team? Maybe not what about Conrad? There we go. Yep, you're definitely having trouble with your mic. Let's go for Conrad if he's able to.
Perhaps now.
Okay. Well, as a reminder, the call is being recorded. I've been on vacation for the past week. So I apologize for not this is not as robust or you know, agenda as as normal. But hopefully, a couple of people have some ideas and can chip in. Things are getting fun. We've got you know, exchanges on the pipeline, lots of pretzels and down the street. And the team on the agency side will be working towards making the Treasury flows and governance participation a little more automated and, and user friendly, but through discord bots, or type forums, instead of having like a open forum for grant proposals. Other than that, we've got a couple of updates on the website that are either complete or coming through soon, Johann nor Yan are able to make the call today. So I can talk about those later. But the bottom is the big one. So this is a proposal probably a proposal where a discord bot will allow you to tip or potentially vote through our discord channels. And then check our if you want to maybe introduce the adore community engagement points.
Sure, my honor. So recently, we just released agewell Community Engagement points as like ERC 20 tokens on the EB EBM environment of Asia. So it's completely experimental token not meant to be like a sh or any kind of credible thing but what what makes it is please you if I'm not wrong, it's the first EBM contract across multiple God ecosystem. And most interestingly 100% of those tokens will be distributed to the all the AMA participants. So we have 6 million ecbs. And those will be distributed across 60 ATMs. And every ama will have like a shared pool of 100,000 ecps. And recently, we distributed it for the VIP ama participants. So there were 14 participants, and everyone received aprox 7100 ECP. So this is like a kind of experimental thing. And we might soon have like a, like some kind of perks. But it's not like nothing is promise. It's just an extra mental token. And to like a like a to AP version of ERC 24 agewell. So that's a
super cool, yeah, I would. Another plasm also has EDM, but we should do some research and see if maybe we're the first to do like an EDM contract on Main.
So they have like, EDM on esnet if I'm not wrong, and the main net is yet to have EBM compatibility.
Got it.
While we're on the topic of maybe prizes, or something for that, Johan and I got back together on an old topic, which is mirch. submissive, if I can pull up that real quick. With rich, who is also not in the call, and understandably so having his first child first I have a baby, we thought it would be helpful to maybe get our storefront up. So this is totally functional. You can now order Edra merchandise. And it's basically printed at the time of order and shipped out to you. We're going to add the baby, the baby outfit, that kind of this thing. We had somebody else who had asked for baby outfit too. So that's pretty cool. And we're open to brings in, you know, some more graphics as time goes on to your on and work on that. So this will get linked to the main site soon. But for now, it's just labutta address store. Okay, and then next up, I want to give some time to proposals. Right now we've got the Vince street proposal. Shankar if you want to give a brief intro to that.
Sure. So, Finch rate is like a educational crypto educational entity from India and they are focusing on creating different kinds of educational content across different platforms in Hindi language. So whether it is YouTube, and different small video platforms, like Tick tock tick tock alternatives, because here in India, tick tock is banned. And, but even Instagram rails, and certain other content they have planned. So they recently posted their proposal on Commonwealth forum. And they are open to any suggestions, or like any kind of thoughts. So if you have any questions to them, feel free to ask. I will just share the link in the chat.
Thank you.
And we have a couple of proposals in the pipeline. One is for layer wallet, which is by some folks over comments, including Ray, who's on the call, Ray, if you want to maybe give a couple comments that for those of us who are kind of new to the the concept.
Yep, clear wallet is we're redesigning parody signer to make it fast and easy to use. That is actually already moving on really quickly. So I think what's happening with the proposal is we're going to launch a minimalist like a basic version of this and then do more proposal revisions to try to figure out if there's something here that's like agreeable to all community members. It's also possible that he will pursue something like a web three Foundation grant, or a different chain of grant. Just to start with There is a live Treasury proposal in voting right now. But it's been blocked by whale. So we're kind of gonna pause on that positive trying to get that through. So it is an interesting puzzle, because last for the Commonwealth interface grants kind of went for the strategy of being a little over prepared. This one kind of trying to figure out what the other side other the other limit is. So the proposal is quite a bit lighter. And I think we just ended up doing a few rounds of revision to try to come to something agreeable, and then try to get the Treasury proposal to pass at that point. It's unclear whether that'll ever happen. But I think you know, what kind of wait and see. There's also maybe one other thing, which is the Commonwealth interface proposal of Adam's left. The most important outstanding one right now for me is off chain polling. And so I'm going to probably integrate some features to off chain polling, based on some of the back and forth in Council and democracy recently about proposals getting feedback, polls will probably include some sort of a time delay to ensure that there is a week or two weeks for proposals to get feedback.
Awesome. We love governance, automation. Anything that you'd like to ask the community, whether it's just to like, look at the layer wallet, or potentially, you know, vote directly on that.
I'm interested in sort of general feedback, but I think one, option polling goes live, I'll do another round for for feedback, then I'm kind of watching everything very closely, noticing that. Feedback tends to be limited to when someone comes in with a large comment. And that kind of gets other people to provide feedback. So I want to I want to wait for like a slightly more governance automation, before doing another round.
Cool, that's an interesting observation also means that we just need like a first mover, maybe, what's
the scope of option pulling again? Is it like council members? Is it general? Are there are there going to be like selectors based on on chain or Commonwealth associate accounts?
So it's all off chain, it will be possible for someone without a Commonwealth account with an address to vote on a poll. And councillors and regular members were treated equally. We're just going to display a list of who voted. And like I like the counselors.
So there won't Okay, they won't be able to I guess that's cool. Alright, so default polls, just everyone can vote basically, that has an address. And then I guess this would be interesting. Obviously, this is a further feature, or an enhancement to the specific features like totl. To see like, what the counselor sentiment was, or what the validator sentiment was XYZ based on the on chain identity that's already associated with an account. And then yeah, that seems super analytics, basically. But build outs as build outs.
Seems pretty possible. It's just a quick filter.
And then token, it's all still token weighted, essentially offering pooling.
It's not but we can we can fetch token balances if we need to, I think I'm watching to see whether people are voting with the same accounts as their stashes seems to be happening, happening, like maybe 30 to 50% of the time. So right now, it's one account, one vote.
Okay. All right. Just that makes sense.
Awesome. And we also have drew on the line, maybe you can talk to us about your latest runtime improvement proposal.
Sure thing Hey, everyone, hope you're doing well. Yeah, I guess this latest proposal is about upgrading the runtime. Once more, updating all the dependencies, I know there's a substrate 3.0 update that we should do. There's updating frontier, which we should do, which should take us to some more stability there. But sort of until we see if this proposal passes to get started on that work, I'm not entirely sure all the dependencies that need to be resolved. Ideally included within this is also integrating the first version of the web mixer and some of the open runtime that or ml Libraries. Something I'm now working on, sort of in tandem with web is still doing some research around the type of asset palette we want. I think we want the armel stuff. But as it stands today, there's actually no creation functionality for it. So I will also be writing likely for for the website, you know, in some sense writing a wrapper for this palette to create new tokens. Yeah, that's the contents of the proposal release, just keep pushing the ball forward. Hopefully it will take less than three months.
Awesome. And for those of us who aren't super tactical, the or RML set of peltor libraries, what are those basically allow users to do?
It's just a separate runtime library that's being mostly developed by the Kala team. But as far as I'm realizing in the community, people are starting to use some parts of it a little bit more. So specifically, it has a bunch of trade input. It's very like vanilla minimal set of dependencies for, you know, building runtime modules on top of it. But it also has, specifically it has this library called or ml tokens and or ml x tokens, which mimics sort of the balance module, but for arbitrarily many tokens, or other tokens, and the x tokens library is geared towards cross chain or para chain transfers. So it seems like what people are hacking on to do those types of transfers for pirate chain work. So getting sort of Edgware and headwear into the same sort of dependency structure is part of my goal.
Awesome, thanks for that. And while we're on the topic of Edgware, where are we at in planning there?
Yes, so I have scraped a tremendous amount of data from the chain to start playing around with now. Distribution generator. I haven't started on the distribution generator, it's taken me probably a week or a little short of a week to actually scrape these events from the chain, just because the polling was quite slow. That's about it. I've kept the headwear nodes up to not I probably needs another update to Rococo v one. A year. That's that.
Got it. And so for those of you who maybe don't know, when we say an update to rococco, b1, what we're talking about is incorporating some some really chain functionality into hardware isn't the right term.
Well, it's just hardware is a pair of chain, and the only way we connect to a relay chain is by using the branch that parody maintains to connect to the relay chain. That branch is called Rococo v one.
Okay, so this is just normal para chain connection stuff. This
isn't actually yeah, this is just the GitHub branch. Yeah, it's just the GitHub branch that they've used to keep things ideally maintained. But Yep.
Awesome. Thanks. And then doesn't click runs is on the call this I can't tell by his usual pseudonyms. But we have another proposal in the works for reducing Treasury minting. So this conversation has been going on for a little bit of a while, basically, the idea is that we should be sending more of the block reward to validators unless the Treasury and maybe reducing inflation over time to make things more attractive to certain stakeholders in the system. Um, is there anybody in the call would like to talk more about that? Okay, well, the logics appreciate I wouldn't go ahead.
I would like to highlight that the staking rewards are unaffected by this change. So it won't affect any kind of liquor increase or decrease in staking it.
Got it. So it would just reduce the total reward, but the same amounts would go to the validators.
I'm sure y'all semantics, you know, I mean, if the total amount of tokens is increasing slower, then people are getting more yield. No, but the amount of tokens they're receiving means remains the same. Okay, it's all about inflation. You know, like, what, that's all we're discussing here. We're just reducing the inflation while maintaining people's rewards, which effectively maintains the value of their coins more.
Got it? Awesome. Yeah, I just want to make some clarification. Everybody was confused, cluding, myself. And then updates on exchanges. We had a couple of things that past summer in dispatch. So this week, for the next few days, I'll be working with some folks at Commonwealth and make sure that the change integrations that were voted on and approved, I'm continuing to move forward. We have no other updates on exchange at this time, other than things appear to be moving smoothly and predictably. And check out you mentioned fourth pillar.
Sure. So they mentioned that they were about to deploy their contracts on the native environment, non VM environment. So they have like, contracts in ink. And they will be having announcement regarding their deployment soon, within two days.
Who is this again? Sounds cool.
It's fourth pillar day. So we also recently figured out about them. And they are building on top of the age where natively
Yeah, they're they're kind of using a mix of open source and proprietary technologies to transmit documents and do kind of like notary features. And then you want a sensor on the call logs, again, is about to jump in. If you guys want to give me an update on web development, I got to go way through door.
Guys. Well, on developments, you know, we've been doing a few fixes here and there with the website. And we've been starting to learn a little bit the new the version three of the website as well, which is more kind of giving it a web three application. So we're working on some designs there. We're also working on a few new pages, such grants page, and the the binance distribution page as well, some kind of landing page that we're planning. So a few things there. We also fixed up the swag shop, which is now you can now access it from the website as well. That's working on on decentralized, D or origin protocol. webshop. So that's the top as well. Yeah, I think that's about it. I mean, there's there's a lot of things that we have a plant. And Yep, just moving moving forward. That
is, I know, we had that payment gateway project, which wasn't super relevant. But do you know, what would it take to get a ga be a purchase option for the origin shops?
Yeah, so the orange origin shops, what we thought that we would use PayPal for the moment. Now that PayPal also have, you know, crypto enabled, but the benefit we have with using PayPal is that we can connect it directly to the to the march manufacturer, and we do the the orders on demand, right? So we don't have to buy in bulk or go in advance. So that's kind of like the, the whole benefit of using that model. And basically, you know, the other way to work with them would be to have a credit card that they would charge them and that's going to be more complex. So with a PayPal account, we can we kind of can get by Without. So I don't know what the thoughts are there. I mean, I still I'm not sure if you know, people can pay with crypto now through PayPal, from what I've read, I think us customers can, but I'm not sure that.
Yeah, we also support eath USD T and usdc on that site now. Site just totally even skips the paid that PayPal process, I think, from the users perspective anyway.
Yeah, the thing with that is, how do we then convert that to pay to printful? So that's kind of like an adult, I have their
own career. Yeah.
And so coenraad sorry, if I pronounced the name incorrectly. So he asked about, can we pay by age?
Sorry, I didn't, I didn't get to shocker.
So, Conrad, he asked that, can we pay for the merchant? Why age to consult? A lawyer like not now, but when in future? Probably. Yeah,
that's that's definitely a clear goal. Not Not right now. But give us a give us maybe another week or two. And we'll figure that out. Now, maybe not in a week attendance, probably optimistic.
Thank you. Got it.
Yeah. Also, I forgot to mention, there's also a been a bit of progress with the tip bot for Discord. I had a chat with a developer that had built this table that works on other servers for other blockchain projects. And he's really keen to move on with that he's supposed to get a proposal for us this week. And let's see if we can push that as well as soon as possible.
Yeah, I think also shady. One of the members of my team it also made a tipping bot.
Was that for this?
Oh, for telegram for telegram here right. So this one is sent. It's all bridged, I guess you can send I wonder if you can send messages.
No, no, the problem with it. The bridges bridge never relays message why bots?
Got it.
Interesting. And then any other up? Sorry, I missed it. I missed the website conversation. Johan, did we talk about the cards that are going into the top?
No.
More banners here that with the highlights? Yeah, we're, well, we have the designed young just needs to implement it. And that's probably ready to go pretty quickly. So it's basically a little section where we're gonna have highlights or events or news. And it's basically image base and kind of like a scroll scrolling section there.
Yeah, so we got like a current, you know, current big events. So the idea for this came from a lot of exchanges, who are listing kind of like, like promotional offers more, if you perform some actions, then you know, get some rewards. So the little promo cards, it'll sit either probably just below the the fold, as they say, that kind of line that most people's screens set up before they scroll.
Let me see if we've got the
image.
So for those of you who are looking my screen this is what what one might look like up here. Here's a couple other examples. So you know, a row of like fairly large eyecatching calls to action that might say, you know, build on Bologna, BM or other like large partnership news.
Cool.
All right. And then on the community side, sorry about the noise. On the community side, I posted something last week, or I'm currently working to design some proposals with community leaders or service providers to give edge users access to kind of either education or physical or mental wellness, wellness resources to in crease the utility of holding edge. Those would like to come with certainly no kind of public subsidy, um, to either improve their their growth or build out features. So it's like the, you know, the public would pay for certain things in the public, we get access to the bigger package. And so the idea is to have several these kind of running at any given time. And then in addition to that, I've had a couple of people reach out to me wondering if they can integrate Edgware or some of our kind of crypto native conceptions into their businesses, one of which is a community theater in Berlin. And so the opening conversation for that was that, you know, we would maybe provide some some funding or initial capital, and then we would have essentially kind of a community owned location in Berlin, where we'd be able to use it for meetups or conferences, or as a makerspace a co working you know, whatever. And, uh, yeah, I guess I'm, I'm calling these like edge ports are like embassies for now. So it look forward to a couple of rules that flesh those out. Since Coronavirus, is ending we really want to get kind of meetups launched and stuff. So on the set, we're also looking for more of an event manager event marker to start thinking about how we can how we can program that. On the other events, such anchors been doing a great job about ama's, we've got one every week in a couple of different veins with its privacy or, you know, Oracle's or some of the other technological kind of categories. And then we've also got a couple of BD folks that are onboarding, one of which is on this call. And these are actually mostly locals here in Austin, which I'm super excited about. And they're going to be kind of trialing and testing our, I forgot what the term was, but basically like a curator style where they complete a contract or solve a problem, then they get an edge reward. So kind of a commission, commission based long term. Is that is that you I think Dylan was the one who initially kind of sketched this out. So that's cool. And they'll be working with working groups to help identify and fulfill blockers. And one of the big ones that I spoke with last year was gnosis. So he provided gnosis a for multi SIG wallet, and now that we have EDM, it's gonna be really easy for them to just kind of expand the network. So I'm hoping to have some news on that next couple days, we will make it much easier to manage multi SIG deployments and some of the Dow stuff that we've been really wanting to do. So very excited, they're kind of a leader in that space. Other things that we're preparing for are the binance distribution. And so this Friday, the communications team meets basically every Friday, we'll be writing copy. Last week, we identified who the stakeholders were, and what the kind of, you know, personalities or personas of a binance distribution recipient are and then offering a upper copy. So anybody who's interested in kind of participating in that, again, community led design and development, please drop in or send me a message like give you like, anything I've missed, or or topics that people want to raise jelly doll, I noticed that you are in the call. And you are launching a validator correct?
No worries, maybe you can't talk right now. But if he gets a second or wants to litter, but yeah, he's launching a community validator and is looking for nominations. To definitely give his posts on Commonwealth look to see how his operations going. We also have another proposal in the pipeline that's going to hit on chain, I think today or tomorrow. And that's where an asset management platform from a fella named Chris Thomas is currently in crypto Valley in Switzerland. And it's quite a bit of begging experience comes from a more traditional background. But it's also looking for I think, development talent to get his project launched and it's basically a pretty simple set of features that he hopes to grow over time into something more like set protocol where users have kind of social trading experiences in Edgware that also minimize the time that they take managing portfolios
but decent returns not on the call but since he is a new father I think we're going to be we won't hear anything new on the recent product proposal for a little bit but there's the existing update and yeah, I think we've covered most of everything anything else topics one offs
so there is a question regarding an update on a trade by contract
maybe somebody Commonwealth has some some ideas.
Can you repeat that? I didn't catch that.
Um, so the users looking for I think Conrad is asking, like what you know, how's the trade doing that we haven't heard of a community facing update from them in a while. Also my ping comes on, see if he wants to do a post. But mine, I
