This is your shower. Just be sitting there thinking? Life? I'm too young for my needs to be heard.
First of all, are you okay? Can you tell us about the collective effort and toughness it took from all of you, including your last few minutes tonight?
Yeah, I think you know, when we got going when we got going in, in early in the fourth quarter, we will get a bunch of stops and get out. And just led to energy as a group, you know, we're really able to put them in the bonus, barely. So they helped us out as well. And then everybody just came in with huge efforts, James got going, was able to make the threes and everybody just had an impact on a game, which is huge was in a playoff. So we just got to keep that bias at 12 o'clock, like
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I lost my voice when I got hit in the throat. So they hurt. It's right now.
What did you guys make of James being able to like go all the way into the fourth quarter?
Man, that was great. That was amazing. It was great to see, you know, they were switching everything, we didn't really have a lot of movement or a lot of continuity. So he just hit some big one on one shots, you know, you know, in the playoffs sometimes, you know, everybody knows what they're trying to get to everybody knows what each team's trying to get to. And you know, they take things away. And you have to have, you know, a lot of different one on one scores on your team. And I think we have a few of those, or collectively maybe four or five of them. And it was just night tonight to care so for pretty much anybody. Yeah, he he's, you know, he gets downhill right. And he's hitting his mid ranges. I think he hit some threes. He gets to the free throw line well, and we try not to follow him but he's he's really good at drawing contact and gets in line. So but you know, you got to keep keep at it. Keep at it, keep fighting and keep garden or yard and keep garden collectively.
There's only so much you can do, obviously. But what's the key when he's kind of locked in? Like he was just standing that?
Yeah. Yeah, I mean, we we had 40 up there. We you know, I mean, we didn't care. But like I said, as long as we win, I mean, I guess at the end of the day doesn't matter. But we just want to keep throwing different bodies at him. I think Tobias garden little bit George, Danny, James, I switched on him a couple times. I keep doing them different looks to be physical with him. And I try to keep my crystalline.
When you think about how thin the margin was in Miami and gave one and two without Joelle was shooting that you guys experienced? How much confidence do you now take after winning to bat bear with?
Me? Yeah. Well, yeah, I mean, yeah, we, we was up at halftime and in game one, I think we cut it to five, in the third quarter, or maybe, or maybe even six or eight in the full quarter and game two. So you know, we have a very, very confident group. And that's with and without joy. Now we have Joe back. And, you know, we have MVP on our side. And we're just gonna go out there and compete, and it's gonna be a fight. It's gonna be a fight. And we have all fighters on our team, and we all have it. I know anybody. I don't know anybody on our team that's gonna back down. You know, maybe they're gonna be in front of their home crowd and now they're gonna try to protect home. And we got to go in and take more aggressive today. Yes. Guys,
you ask smart questions, but let's go keep going. Keep going. What did I say? You ask a lot of smart questions. But yes, he was aggressive.
Going forward to
most definitely. Yeah, we need them be aggressive. You know, but he does a great job of evaluating the game where he can make plays where he can take your shots tonight, he got going you just seeing the confidence in him getting downhill first. And then you know, the three ball opening up for him. So you know, what we really need him to do on a nightly basis is what he does is just, you know, be solid of us and be able to really pick up on the defensive how they play. You see so many Um, defensive coverages out there on the floor. A lot of times they zone up the court as well. So, sometimes it's tough for him to be extremely aggressive and offensive and but, you know, when he's in a group like that, we just get in the ball and keep it going.
Or your mom was in the crowd tonight. message to her on Mother's Day.
