do we have anything on the agenda for today? So heartstopping 1030
Yeah, that's actually fine because I was hoping to stop by then as well. I just had a meeting put on my calendar. So I wanted to go over the current state of things, but I'm also going to ask Santiago to upload a video asynchronously because they have been making progress on the UX UI ideas that based on the product strategy vision document and also the more specific LTI course authoring requirements that we were putting together in the last meeting. In November, I believe. So basically, they have made some significant process but I've progress Excuse me, but I would like them to be the ones to share it. So I'm going to ping Santiago and ask him to just do like a video walkthrough. asynchronously. The questions that they had were mostly actually for you, and Giovanni and Fox who I believe, worked on the other PR, so basically ensuring that the UX UI work that they are planning would be covered to some degree by the technical work that you and Caesar and Fox and Giovanni had submitted. For review already, I believe. Cool. And so I'm hoping that they can reach out to you asynchronously, double check what the gaps are, that would still require engineering work to cover in order to reach the UX UI vision that we've seen from them so far. And then from there, would be able to basically take proposals for that engineering work from the open community. So I think that's kind of the latest updates. I met with them, I believe, when was it on Friday, where they walked through this with me, and so the main gist of it is the course authoring workflow is mostly done. The licensing aspects that they had questions around were the similar ones that came up in November around the reusability of licenses, so that if an organization wanted to acquire a license, and then use it in multiple courses, or in some courses and not others, like is there a way for administrators to control that took in order to control cost? So that's something that I believe they will be looking into further. But other than that, just the actual work that they've done. I can ask them to share it asynchronously. Yeah. And other than that, I don't have any other updates. So unless there's anything that you guys have, I'm happy to take this asynchronously.
Okay, the only thing I have is really, again, it's as before is is there an interest in the tool provider? Lot of dots for our needs. were eventually
I believe, I don't think it's in the scope of this current.
Like, was completely unrelated to the to the work that yeah, you just discussed this would be open edX, we'll provide content to other LMSs and
I believe there is interest. Certainly, on HiZack certainly in the open community, I remember folks expressing interest in that Jerry during the open edX conference. So we can put that into the next stage of the workflow and start planning that as soon as engineering work for this one. is kind of in the in process. Excuse me. Good. That sounds good to you.
Sure. Yeah. I mean, I was asking, Ed, what's the process for entirely new kind of capabilities being added and I did. He said he was there working through that kind of a new process for doing that. So things is quite different from the LTA consumer. They'll take platform, not an incremental enhancement. It's a net new match. I guess it's incremental because it's a one to one capability but completely replace that I think. So. Okay, I guess I'll wait until that process is either clearer, or we've had any more discussion in this kind of forum. Yeah.
And I think it would be if you want to add that question to the notes here. Let me just think back to then, I'm happy to take that up with Jenna async as well. And then I think that question and then also, I know that they're the work that was being done by turn it in around LTI work in one ad tech. We currently don't have access to the early stage documentation. So I think if Scott, you guys do have access to the backend documentation and when I attack then I can connect to you with my contact that we work with it turn it in and then see if they can share that with you directly. But this was the I believe they called it asset processor is like an additional step to deep linking, I believe that could be could become available within the Open edX LMS. And I don't know the current status of it, but I think if that's something that you want to stay abreast of I can connect you just directly with them because as it is, since we're not a contributing member currently, I cannot access the documentation until it's published publicly.
But it would not be from a to consumer perspective. Turnitin when edX, Open edX would be the LMS and turn it in would be a tool
and turn it on would be a tool. Yeah.
Okay. All right. So that's the opposite from the tool provider about what they're talking about.
Yeah, no, it's just a like I know that. That's one of the other elements currently being worked on by an organization that I am happy to connect folks with. That I currently cannot access myself unfortunately. So if that's of help to you guys, though, as you're working on all of this, then you
get dressed and posted to me if they weren't able to post that can publicly even though you need to have one in tech membership in order to see it. That means anybody that has that.
Exactly. Yeah. So I think I yeah, I'll just connect you with them. And then you can see how that would impact your work and, or if it does,
Okay, sounds good.
Cool. Zack, we just are going to take some of this asynchronously. Just a quick update is that nginx like they've been making progress on the UX UI. And I'd like to ask them to post a video a sync and share the progress and then also they're going to connect with Scott and Cesar and Fox then Giovanni and just see where the engineering capsure that we need to pick up from. Who's the point of contact? Santiago, okay, okay. Yeah, he's tagged in the meeting notes Santiago Suarez.
Okay, I make connects Huizar with Santiago then because
I think that makes sense. Otherwise, yeah, we can take the rest of this thing because it is not here. I think it makes the most sense. Cool. All right. Thanks. Everyone.
