or afternoon or evening or whenever, wherever you are in your day.
All right, well, let's just go straight into darlings questions, and we'll make it short and sweet. And then Oh doll is not able to make it today. So we'll just make it quick and easy.
Do Can you break it down? For me possibly one question at a time. I think we can just go straight into number one. Basically, how important are slides?
Yeah, So how important are slides? Okay, it comes down. How important are slides last time? I did not use slides, and I'm not sure I can pull slides together in time, I would love your opinion on how important they are. She has a workbook that is essentially that essentially people can follow along and, but needs advice on branding and social media marketing?
Yeah, I mean, I you know, I mean, a lot of it is going to be it's a lot of it is going to be it depends. And it depends on your audience and all that jazz. I would say, first of all, because all the questions have the theme of rushing before, you know, rushing to get it done. And I think especially when you're doing something, you know, when you're doing something like this, it's iterative. So when you're doing something for the first time, it's like good and Done is better than perfect. And then you can refine as you go for future ones. My answer is always for you, Darla always come back to hiring because I think since you're scaling, I mean I I would get some support, in terms of, you know, in terms of things like this in terms of like, of getting slide decks created. So for that, I would go on Upwork for sure. You know, and find someone like for something like design slides, I would definitely use Upwork for that. But I you know, so for me that my slide deck creation process, what it looks like is and I'm going to be doing some of it today on a plane. So it really looks like just grabbing a Google Doc and I can just very much like go to slide one, this slide to this like three, you know, I want a diagram that looks like this, and I'll just messily write something on a post it and take a picture of it. And so that really helps for me to be able to move quickly and produce content a lot faster than if I had to make my own slides forget about it. So that's, that's one thing I would say. And then the second thing is, at the very least, if you can have someone create a slide deck template, so that you have it for you know, you have one and then from there, you can duplicate so we sometimes do some version of that, because I will be having an idea at the 11th hour and want to add three slides in and so then, you know, either myself or someone on my team that's not a designer will very quickly duplicate some slides and try to fit in whatever I want to fit in. But I would say in terms of how important they are. I mean, you know, again, I don't know your particular, you know, audience and this particular you know, workshop strategy that you're following i What i Like a breakup of, you know, slides or something on camera, and you know, something on the on the screen, and then me on camera. But if you if you can't make it happen, then you can't make it happen. I think what ultimately always content is what wins. So the quality of your content is always going to win no matter how you deliver that, whether it's slide or audio or if you have a workbook, that's fantastic. And as a matter of fact, here's the other thing in terms of you have a workbook. A lot of the times like for me a slide deck presentation, or what used to be a slide deck presentation, oftentimes, as a matter of fact, probably 90% of the times going forward a lot of times it really is a Google Doc that we've created and I'm screen sharing that and talking over that. And the reason for it is because it's actually oops, it's actually what they're going to be filling out and working with later. So it just makes sense for the video of me walking through it to go with the actual document right now does it look as like would this be what apple.com uses as their keynote? Probably not. But again, we are all about like how it what's the quickest path to people getting actually getting it done and getting results and so that will often look like less production value is the word and more you know more actionable right so that's what I've noticed a shift in us for sure is you know, much less production value and much more like me me jumping on a loom or a zoom or whatever to create something quickly versus let's schedule the day and let's have a videographer come over and the hair and makeup team and what I was like you know what? People not worried about what my lashes look like they want to know what should I do next and how quickly can I do it? So that would be my answer on that. Let's go to the second one the brain clarity one and let me know if Darla if you have any follow up on that or if that makes sense. I know some of them are all related so it might make more sense for me to answer them all.
Anyway, I'll go to to go to do. So how important is it to have brand clarity I don't want things to look hodgepodge and have been trying to get someone through Upwork to help with graphic design but the four people who have done test projects aren't what I want. I need someone to help rework a logo find me a color palette I haven't found anyone making with the help make the workbook beautiful and rework visual recaps.
Yeah, so So okay, so two things on this. I mean, a it sounds to me like, I mean, it's kind of like what I said for the first one in the beginning, it does kind of look hodgepodge. And it just is what it is. So I wouldn't worry about it for this particular iteration, I would say.
And Burleigh also is sorry, she said that she was having trouble unmuting but just just sent in the chat. I've solved this since yesterday.
Oh, the which one, the brand person thing? The number two? Great. Yes. Okay. Great. Fantastic. So, you know, that's awesome. You know,
we'll look at that. Well, there
you go. Okay, everything has been solved in 24 hours. I love it. Yeah, but but, you know, my, my thoughts on branding, though, is, you know, just for the sake of the recording, and for sake of clarity is like, there is a junior designer, for sure, that can put together a slide deck that can do whatever. And then branding is a whole other ballgame. And I you know, I don't feel like it's I don't feel like that's the same person. So for us, for example, you know, we've had a creative director, and that's, you know, cost way much more money and, you know, has put together a style guide. And we've decided on logos and colors and all those different things. And then that style guide that she created, you know, is what our designers use. So they are not really they're not really creating something from scratch, they have something to go off of. And for the day to day creating a slide deck, I don't need, you know, a agency to be you know, like, like, I mean, the person that did our branding has branded Madonna. So we don't need that person to be executing little Facebook social media images, right, but but they did create the overall plan and everything like that. But for me, I'm still a fan. Even though we have all this, I'm still a fan of of that moving to I mean, you're at the stage now where introducing that sounds like a good plan and you have the budget to do it. In the early days. I'm just like hodgepodge it out. I think it's better than not. Cool. Okay, so it sounds like those are the questions then. Right. All right, cool. Well, then quick and easy. Awesome. I mean, Darla, I am looking forward to seeing how this all gets done. And how it goes, I want to I want to see your results. So post them in the Facebook group. And then if you haven't already heard, I know Jill emailed out. But we have a virtual conference in two weeks. So we'd love to see you if you can make it awesome. If not, no worries, but also if you want to be an affiliate if you want to kind of send out Okay, great, cool. So if you want to if you have people to refer we have one email swipe copy, but you can certainly you know, Dr. Tex, whatever your peeps that are in the, you know, that are in this field or in in that are health professionals in general. And then the second day on the Friday is the bonus day, and it's just a q&a with me. But we'd love to have you there. We'd love to have you guys in the chat or you know, as cheerleaders are whatever it is that whatever you can or want to do support wise would be amazing. And of course people are always inspired by you. Yeah, so we'll see you there and then next Thursday is Thanksgiving. Awesome. Darla can't wait to see you then. And yeah, next Thursday, Thanksgiving, but in the meantime, if you need anything, post it in the Facebook group or of course there's always a critique calls as well. But good luck on this workshop. I think I'm sure it'll be amazing. And just every one every one that you do, just just try and refine a few things to take it to the next level. Cool. All right. You're welcome. Cool. Let's go ahead and wrap it up. I'm gonna go do a Facebook Live. So if you guys are bored, I want to see I'll see you there. Bye for now.
