All right we're here with Doug Payne who just finished third in the two-star correct? So tell us a little bit about the horse and how the course suited him today.
For the winter, we generally do first quarter of the year, so it was a really a great final competition for him. He's heading back with Ana after this weekend and so she'll be out competing him next. Jumped really, really well throughout, and I felt the course is really at all levels. Ian did an exceptionally good job and the ground is perfect with the rain. Couldn't have asked for much more.
Was this just timing-wise the goal, for letting it be the last one for the horse?
Yeah, we just set up a spring season, kind of mapped out what competitions would be good for him. He came down and jumped with us at Wellington a bunch, and then up for this. It's just a really good prep for him.
What area is he going back to?
They live outside of Charlottesville.
Cool, well thank you. And sounds like you had a good rest of the day.
Yeah, it's a great group of horses. Very, very lucky to have them. It's super exciting because frankly, all of them are kind of 12 and under, so they're all just getting there.
Yes. Like I said the fect graphics to the ground. Every time the rain better. Yeah. Great.
Yeah, perfect. Like I said the ground was ideal. Couldn't have timed the rain better.
