all right around the NFL is a serious football podcast. That doesn't take itself too seriously.
Listen to the around the NFL podcast all season long on the iHeartRadio app on Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is playing around with Paige Renee.
Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the playground podcast. I'm your host, Paige. And we have Dan Regester. Back on the pod. This is actually your second second appearance, maybe third
with the podcast. I thought this was my business pitch.
Oh gosh, I don't even want to hear that. The jetski proposition that you have pitched to me multiple times.
Listen, it is a great business opportunity. It involves a restaurant. When does that fail?
Never, never, not. If we get another pandemic, we would all be screwed. But that won't happen right?
Around people with large groups. It's called hundos. You can only order food and beer in quantities of 100.
You could sell one also multiple times I was thinking about how you're going to retire, move somewhere and then own a jetski business.
That is like plan Z. That's like when everything hits the fan. I got nothing going on. I have to evade taxes. I go down to the Caribbean.
Well, you didn't send over a bio. And what would you like host of softcore history? Which is Uh huh. Which is a actually, where I only get all of my History News is from that podcast where you guys basically just tell interesting stories about history.
Yeah, podcast, podcast producer, video producer mana mystery.
Dan and I have been friends for a really long time. And
by the way, yeah,
yeah. If you didn't listen to the last episode he was on on this podcast, which was like a year ago. Now I will retell it because it's actually really good story. So Dan started my career. And all of my emotional issues. No, but when I was out of college, and not sure what I want to do with my life, I finished this tournament, I was checking my phone. And Dan wrote this very lovely article about me on total frat move and it was essentially a love note to me. But it went viral. That article went viral. I went viral. And within a week I went from having like 500 followers to 100,000 followers. And we were just kind of talking back and forth and we ended up just yeah, having this friendship for years and years and years, which I don't know how we have still continued to be friends through
not really sure how it all started, you know, I was just trying to be quota you know, I had a set amount articles that are right in the week. She came across you I'm like, Yeah, this is easy. Just throw some photos up. Not really put any effort into it. And that's a that's how we got here.
That is how we got here. Yeah, but Dan has actually helped me a lot with my content. He and my picks so all my bad picks. You can blame Dan for that one. That's for sure.
Hey, remind us to chastise me for my I crippling advice. And now it's your career.
Yeah, yeah, I was wrong on that one. Definitely wrong on that one. But Dan, I'm really excited for you to be on the podcast again. We have lots to discuss. So I was, I was in Milwaukee recently. And I threw out the first pitch. I was so incredibly nervous. I remember I was texting you and I was like, I can't feel my arms like I think I'm having a heart attack but
you hit when you hit a light. Yeah, I
hit a light with like the pitching practice it was it was a mess. And my worst fear was going up there and 50 sending it and just going viral for how horrible my pitch would be. And I ended up actually throwing like a decent pitch it was high. It was a little high with a little laughter
You know, you're a pro Yeah, the camera not actually focused on where the ball landed. So I have no idea
we did we did get multiple angles from everyone and that that right there lies my downfall. So I didn't go viral for throwing a bad pitch. I went viral for things for looking fat and ugly. I go and check my phone and confirm skinny jeans don't actually make you look skinny. I found that one out the hard way.
That's how you know oh, by the way, it's gonna be great. Oh, yeah. Oh,
I forgot old that was an old bag. We were talking about but people were absolutely roasting me roasting me and this was after I posted a video to a couple days prior and people were fat shaming me. And this is the first I've gotten fat like called fat like here and there like once or twice just people being trolls but not at this level. Like people are generally like girl you chunky like you don't look good. Like you look old. You look fat like
okay at home. Are you going through a breakup?
I am the happiest I feel like I've ever been. And that's probably why that I have like, little way like, let's be honest, I've been a little Wait,
do you think there's a connection with your happiness and that's not really talking that much anymore?
Probably probably here to some of the some of the comments. I'm not that cute from this video. She looks like a disgusting pig. Put on some weights. She She looks horrendous. You know the reality is somewhere between the sexiest woman alive and being a fat washed up. Well. You can apparently Yeah, she's getting chunky. Let's just Let's get amazing what makeup and screen filters can do. She's getting fat. She looks like her fat. Sister. Not I have a sister. She's not fat. But if I have a sister that's there. Looks great. Yeah, looks this looks amazing. I on the other hand, apparently what is your mic? By
the way, who? You know, I love your mom. I just want that on the record. She's cold. She's aloof. She's not impressed by much. But for some reason. She likes me. I like your mom.
You know why she likes you because you look like my dad and you guys share the same name which is a whole problem in itself.
There's a lot of issues we can put our dirty laundry
on air that let me get back. Let's read just a couple more because we think this is one looks like she got some fillers injected before the game too bad. Maybe she can be on the next episode of botched, not her best look, talk about a butterface I'm sure a few guys in the crowd looked up at the giant screen and said, Wow, that's maximum sexiest woman alive. That's one of the most unflattering pictures of anyone I have ever seen in my entire life brave of her to show up looking like a fat disgusting pig doesn't even look like the same person. So you know that that is what I came to after throwing the first pitch and I will say I handled it not well. And we have actually talked about, like body insecurities a lot. And I put up a story recently, and just kind of opening up the floor to men and their body insecurities. And Dan, I know that you have extremely small hands. And I was just wondering if you could share how you feel about that being a man with baby hands?
Well With My BK Whopper Jr. Hands, I'd never really heard any complaints from you.
You know, I think I could just like use this opportunity to switch my entire career around and be the face of body positivity. Right? I think I could do it because right now, I prefer being called like a fat pig over being called a whore and no one called me a whore like that's a win, right?
You can transition but there's going to be like a little bit Have a buffer period where you caught a fat whore. So that's the worst of both worlds.
That's that is that's that's not great. Okay, we will workshop this a little bit later. We'll we'll get through this. We'll get through this. Yeah, I mean you have body dysmorphia issues like, let's be serious for just one quick second before we continue with the podcast. I do I do this just for like a quick second because I think this is a real issue because it's a huge topic among women about being body shamed and having body insecurities. But when I reached out to a lot of guys, and they were sharing their stories, they also have the same type of issues. And they struggle as well. And I know that you we've talked about like having body dysmorphia, and how do you kind of like overcome that?
Well, you see, I read on the internet for from 2014 2018. And every comment that I got on every article I wrote, was just talking about me being fat. So and it was aggressive. This is 2014 Internet, you could you could actually say some stuff.
Well, and I remember that too, because when we we did first meet you were twice the size that you are now.
You think you thought I was 350 pounds or 400 pounds 200 pounds right now. I was like I was like 220 But you didn't have any muscle.
You were just like I didn't muscle. You had like the prototypical like Dad bod.
I know. And that's when I was happiest.
What's the connection that's being like, I'm not super fit and like happy because I'm happy. But like when I'm not happy. That's when I look my leanest.
Right, well, you go to the gym, because it's not. Because the other people that hate on you. It's because you yourself hate yourself.
I talked about them therapy yesterday. Yeah, that's a good point.
How's she doing? By the way?
She's Yeah, she's great. Yeah, we had we had a really solid session, she helped me a lot.
Good. It's good to hear. Yeah. Glad to go on back. You know, it's really important for you know, I mean, I go to the gym, because you know, I have to cover up for not having a personality, right, I need to just get as fit as possible. I
need to or being funny, right?
I'm not funny, I need to get hot. Because, you know, I have nothing else going on in my life. I'm just kind of there. And that's just exist, right? I go out with my friends. We're all very similar. We go to the loud places, so we can't really talk to each other because conversations, nothing anyway. So you know, loud music, you're screaming at women over over the music because you're like, you know what, I need to validate myself, I need to find someone to go home with. And it very rarely does it work out. Never once. But when it does, when it does, but when it does, you still have a giant void in you and you still feel empty. So no, no lifting, you're never going to be the man you want to be the woman you want to be. You always have when you have a pump. When you're at the gym, you're always looking your best, but you can never live up to that man in the mirror.
So what Dan is actually trying to say is that you need to find inner peace and happiness because you're never going to live up to the expectations that you have for yourself. And I think that's really important is to find a healthy weight that you can maintain and have balance because I mean there's a lot of sacrifices and looking a certain way and you just have to realize that okay, that's maybe not a sacrifice I want to make and I am happy with how I look and being confident in your own skin. I think people hate on this all the time and I really cannot wait to hear your take on this one. But seeing more diversity and different body sizes, in magazines and in media and I think that's really important because think about all of the girls young girls even though I only have men who follow me but I'm sure there were some girls fall Yeah, seven girls you saw that I was being body shamed and I'm nowhere near I should never be called fat I'm just not you know and I can see how that can be extremely damaging to a lot of women looking at men call me that when I'm not and you and that's that's like that's not okay, but having someone who's a little bit I would call myself midsize someone more mid size being out there.
Your fucking athletic Shut up. People are making fun of me on the internet because I look a little bigger than I usually do. Because I don't filter all my videos. So bad, like so hard for me. I make an entire living just looking good
over here trying to be motivational and to help other people. And you
are learning that well. If you actually go to the gym and you care about you know your fitness. You don't want people to be motivated. You want to be the biggest guy at the gym. You want to be the most fit person at the gym. You don't want to Competition. Don't motivate others.
Some of it is okay. Okay, well, we'll move on from that. You do need some motivating though with your pecs because we it's been brutal Dan and I do is we have competitions and we were going to do a fitness competition which has we both failed miserably clearly. I mean, clearly, I'm
well, you projected right now sounds like
I'm projecting I will bring that up. And next week's session with my therapist will bookmark this moment and we will move on today
by a 40 year old Cougar at the gym. Okay, and she bit her lip at the fucking smith machine. Okay.
You have you have like Cooper vibes. Like there's something about like a good Cougar.
Really, like you only appeal to like, 45 year old women
stay away from my mother. I'm telling you now let's stay away from her.
I would never do that today. Right? I would never might need to go back to therapy after this.
I have a great therapist for you. Oh, I'll send it to you. We'll send her your way.
We'll do joint sessions too.
I'm sure there's some issues with three that I'm moving forward. So we have these competitions and we were doing this pic so we had to pick five college football games and three NFL games and we both tied we're not going to say the record because it's important that we either want to brag about like it's it wasn't our best week. Wasn't our best week. But why why? Why are we struggling right now I feel like there's been a ton of upsets. It's been hard to pick like I bet the house on the Bengals beating the Cowboys like it should have happened. The Cowboys lost Dak they had the backup the Bengals they had a bad week right before you know I thought Joe burrow was going to come out and light it up. He seems to have like the yips or like confident issues because he can only run the ball but there's it's I wish I was shaken up by that.
Chuck many Joe Barrow spine is on hype. Only I'm saying that but if you
were a betting man, which I know that you are the Bengals were the pick. And how how did that happen? I don't even understand. Purdue didn't cover Purdue hasn't been covering that was always my tried and true like Purdue would always cover for me. It was a big game. It was a good game and the game is something good. And that's like the games have been really good. But I think we're really fucked over. I don't get it. I don't get it. I love watching football. But I haven't enjoyed these first two weeks.
I'm out on football. I'm out. I'm done. I need I'm just gonna watch UFC and golf. I don't care anymore.
Literally you were out like you weren't even watching any of the games yesterday you decide to play golf instead?
I did. However, I mean, the Eagles weren't playing on the Philadelphia sports fan through and through. So they weren't playing. I don't really care for the NFL other than my team. I'm more of a college football guy. I love college football even though my school has no realistic chance at a national championship going to achieve high school but yeah, no I am I feel like I'm getting addicted almost like Phil Mickelson is without losing. So who knows maybe if I if the Saudis end up calling me might end up having to produce podcasts for like Mohammed bin Salman or something. Would you call it? Why Khashoggi was wrong?
I mean, even have to talk about with with football this week. I did a whole kind of recap of the week one. I just, I don't even want to talk about it. Like it's hurtful. Like it hurts hurts me and my soul. It's just not fun. When you make some good picks. You think they're gonna be good pics, and then just not good pics?
Great analysis.
Thank you. Yeah, I mean, that's why I got paid the big bucks to look at that. So we're not watching. We're not watching football. I guess we got to talk about golf. How did your round
go? Hey, we don't have to talk about that either. Really?
Dan has one of the ugliest golf swings that you will ever see in your entire life. He does a 10 Finger baseball. He holds it like a baseball. He stands super far away from it really flat swing. And this fall through this fall through is like a love child between Jim Furyk and Viktor Hovland. There's just something like right but not right.
That's it. Good company right there. Many say it's the most athletic swing golf.
You you would say that quoted by Dan Regester
drove the green yesterday on like a 330 yard part four. So would you
make par? Yeah, I think maybe if you go down a grip size or two, then that might actually help you. I think the grips are just too large. And so you're holding it like you know, like when a little baby holds like new clubs for the first time and they just can't wrap their hands around it and they can't turn it over. I think that that might be that might be the thing.
My clubs kind of looks like Donkey Kong holding like a tree branch. But like a twig, though not really. Big Branch.
Cool. Twig. Twig have the President's cup coming up. Which
pumped Are you for that? I honestly Tommy Kim and the International boys. Let's get it. I can't wait. I think they did it in like pods. Right. So you had the Canadians. I think you have Corey Connors Penrith. Maybe. Who I picked this weekend did not show up. Tom can probably not see. Well, Kim, I imagine. Oh, Sanjay in boom. Oh, okay. Exactly right, Jackie. Yeah, um, Scott. I'd imagine I'm Scott, right. He didn't. He's not at least
Yeah. No, I don't think.
Yeah, no. I think they're like plus 500 though has an underdog. I might I might take a swing on the international team because why not? There's no value on the USA. No, this is why I keep losing. I'm addicted. I told you.
Well, in the President's cup has always been the worst. Like I've never been like super excited for the President's cup. Like it used to be interesting. And then the last like, couple have just been a little bit of a horrifying
Oh, is that a Royal Melbourne, in Australia?
Australia. Is that Is that where Tiger came to captain? Yeah, Tiger was captain. Okay. That was that was that was a good one. Yeah, that was a good one. Walking. No, he didn't didn't walk in like got like his got like destroyed. Remember Tiger did the walk and putt on is like 18 or something. He literally just like walked in just turned around and like shook his hand.
That's a fair situation. It's a fake. Everyone just thinks that happened.
We have footage of it. It's real. It's real. And it's happening.
Yeah. No, I mean, I'll both tune in probably. Probably not. I mean, there's gonna be I'll go back and forth. The football games suck. I'll put it on Sunday. I don't care.
The last PGA Tour event I was want to call every time I see the name of it. I was want to call it the fortnight championship
championship, just wait for home to do a little fortnight dance.
But it was a week that I wasn't super excited about. To me. The season doesn't start until the LA swing next year. That is when the season really does start for me. And it's crazy that they only get like, a week off literally just a week off. They're like, Oh, we just we wrapped up the FedEx Cup now and just season and then next week. It's like and we're back. In 2023 season, we're so excited. We can't wait. And it just feels like too much golf. Right? Like there's just too much golf like let's have a little bit of a breather to get like excited about golf again. Because Can you imagine if it's like you only had a week off for like football or any other sport you would just be bored like you you you've not been excited for like you need time apart to get amped up for it. Do you do you feel similarly as me?
Yeah, I mean, even monster truck rallies I feel like take a few weeks off you know Grave Digger can only go so many weeks. So yeah, I mean golf. Golf is a oversaturated as is so I mean the fact that we have another tour now and it's it's too much to consume. I just don't want to I mean, I'll gamble on it every week. I'll throw I'll throw some money down. But I mean, I'm not gonna watch it until I would say Hawaii Hawaii is the start of the season it's Tournament of Champions even though this year I think they're letting guys in the mid the FedEx Cup and didn't win so you have the cam young didn't win but hoping the tournament champions like can young but like I might be out on them now. Yeah, I wanted to be like ground floor cam young but now that everybody's on cam young I need to pivot you know who is always your go to bet and that's the whole thing the gamble contrarian I just keep picking the wrong game to be contrarian for
okay out on camera. But I what I was saying is like, yeah, there's too much golf, but this tournament was actually exciting. Like it came down to the wire. I think Max Homa being in the mix is always really good for golf. He's such a great guy. Super funny, really personable, like well on Twitter. And so anytime he's in the mix, I think a lot of people tune in to watch and it came down right to the last hole. Danny Willett had a one shot lead going into 18. And Max was he missed the green Danny Well, it was within four feet for birdie. And if you're looking at that, as anyone you're like, Danny Well, it's gonna win like it's not even close. Well, Shaka, this is golf. Maxima chipped in, and then Danny will it three putted? It was one of like, the worst three putts. I've seen it was he wasn't even close. And it wasn't like he left himself like a little tap in for his next pot. No, he blew it by and then miss the one coming back, obviously because a three potted and Max ended up winning and it was a heartbreaker, like Max truly want it but Danny will truly last day it was like one of those situations where I was like, that's the chip and he chips in and Well, I mean, the three pot and he three putted. And it was it was crazy. It was a crazy finish.
Max is starting to get into that tier of players. That is, I mean, he's favorite this week. So I never been on golf favorites. So I didn't I didn't expect him to go back to back and putting money on max obviously. However, I need him to show up at a major man. I need I need max to actually you know, when it's a big boy tournament, I need you to I mean, these are all well and good. You're You're racking up wins on the PGA Tour, but until you do it in the major till you're like in the top five top 10 I'm not gonna really, you know, I've been by
I feel like with Max though he is such a well rounded player. And it's shocking that he hasn't won at a major yet because he's a player who does well on harder golf courses because he's such a good ball striker. And so great iron player. It's like you look at his game. It's super well rounded. And it's shocking that he hasn't won a major yet. And I think that this next year could be a huge year for him because you can see he's getting more confident. As each season goes as the wins. He gets more wins and bigger wins. I think you know, obviously like winning at Riviera with Tiger was huge for his career. And he seems pretty unstoppable right now and I think that he's a player to watch in the majors coming up.
I don't think he gets a major this year but I can see like a bigger tournament like the players. Like he just knocks that off.
Or it's like a Last Man Standing thing. Just wait until all the good players go to live and then you start racking up the majors when they're not allowed to play anymore.
Good strategy is smart. Yeah, just kind of wait it out.

Dan has a co host of the around the NFL podcast and now the NFL Power Rankings podcast each Tuesday on nfl.com. I have my Power Rankings column. But is that enough for me? Never. So my friend Colleen wolf will join me on the Power Rankings podcast as I defend my rankings and break down why teams are ranked where they are
rings for the Rams, a Lombardi trophy for Los Angeles,
which team will spend the most weeks at number one in the rankings. Touchdown buffalo, a laser from Josh Allen, a touchdown for Buffalo and they take the lead and who's primed to make the biggest jump through the rankings and grab hold of the prestigious number one spot in the end zone. Touchdown
chargers.
That was Michael Jordan taken off from the free throw line level play right there. That was ridiculous.
The NFL Power Rankings podcast subscribe now and listen every Tuesday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts is your team number one, probably not not my fault
do you think that. I've had this question a lot on the podcast before, but I know you don't listen. So we're gonna have it right now. Do you think that Augusta is going to let the live players in?
I don't see why they would not right. I mean, how many of the past however many champions are live now? You have Sergio Baba. DJ, missing somebody think card? I don't know. I'm blanking right now. Just just feed me. Come on. So Oh, Phil. Yeah. Well, Phil so relevant in like live tournaments, too. He's always like, 250 to one. There's like 12 Guys in tournaments.
Do you bet on live?
I do you?
Did you bet this last event in? Was it? It was in Chicago. It was weird that they keep doing they keep saying it's like in the heart of Chicago in the heart of Boston. No, you're rich harvest farms that's like nowhere near Chicago. And they did that for Boston to either like, Oh, we're in the heart of Boston. It's like you're but you're not and I mean, people are showing starting to show up now. But I feel like they're gonna get more people there if they actually give like the exact location of like, where it actually is.
I kind of appreciate that. They don't though. They're kind of coy with where they're at, you know? I like that strategy. I also I think live should really just lean into it right? Like, I want more aggressive takes from them. I want Brooks to come out and be like, Yeah, we don't really know the truth behind 911
just really run with it. Yeah. Live but louder. So they need to just really lean into like everything
just be so pro Saudi and why stop at like
no shorts. Like they're doing shorts. Sounds like well, no shorts. Have a tank tops. Like let's really push the dress code. pop top. Yeah, shorts.
Do it. Do whatever whatever you want. Don't even wear clothes.
Don't even work clothes. Why wear clothes. Why does Greg Norman even need to wear clothes?
He's an athlete. I'm sure Greg Norman love to just be naked out there.
Yeah, call him the hammerhead shark. Yeah,
that's it's because of its the way is downlow hangs
to hand that was actually a big insecurity that a lot of guys were messaging me about their penis size. Yeah, that was a bit that was like a really big one.
I think that was trying to send
us for like, look how small it is dick pic.
No, I feel like I have a Goldilocks penis. Right? Not too big. Not too small. Just Right,
right. I think more men need the need to say that. That's a good line. What's the success rate of you saying that to a girl at a bar?
I don't say that to women straight up. But actually just like Goldilocks is a tragedy. My penis was also eaten by bears right to see it kind of your insecurity. Yeah, just doesn't exist. Just Kendall down there now. Yeah.
Yeah, who also had a really gruesome injury recently like it honestly, it makes me sick to my stomach even to even discuss this, but I think it's really important that we need to talk about it. Like I love watching sports, but like I obviously hate watching players get injured and like see such a gruesome injury. It really just puts like everything into perspective. And like how life is just it just flashes before your eyes. And it's like, I need to appreciate the fact that like, I can see because Bryson D Shambo had this this. This injury occurred to him when he was playing in the live event and like I know put myself together. I can't believe I'm getting so emotional over the stand. It's just it's
like could have been us. There could have been us. Yeah,
right. But he was walking from the crowd back into the golf course. And this spectator rope at a staggering mile per hour came flying out of his face almost decapitated him. Cut his eyes. He fell to the ground covering his eyes. My eyes My eyes. I can't see I can't see. Everyone surrounded him was wondering what was happening. And you know what Bryson did being tough as fucking nails.
He continued. He continued down he marched on, marched on like a little drummer boy. I will say it was pretty funny though. The announcer I think set off with his head. Which man self-awareness on point.
Honestly, what's wrong with Bryson? Like I usually times I've been like cut by a rope and just like, oh, there's a rope in my face. Like he truly acted as if he was severely injured. He like there was a second that he couldn't carry on. I will say
if I walked through a spider web, I have that exact reaction, so I get it. Yeah, that's next level though. fucking hate spiders, the spider web in your eye. Because it just lingers. It just stays on you doesn't go anywhere. But ya know Bryson, you know he's braver than most, some say braver than than Troops, I jobs. I'm gonna go out there. I'm gonna say Bryce and braver than the troops.
I can't defeat that. No, I have a word.
Defeat that defend that. refute it. Yeah.
So we have times where I say something. And that truly just shows me that no one is actually listening to what I'm saying. Because I will say words that are not words. And people just carry on as if it's a normal conversation. Like, I know in my heart that that's not a word. And I said it very confidently as if it was and it's surely is not. And then people just like,
Yeah, but the key is to just say it with confidence, right? Like I do that all the time, too. I feel like I pass it on to you. See, you're corrupting me. There's even times where I'll see your videos. I'll see clips. I don't listen to podcasts, but I'll see clips. And I will hear you say things that I swear I texted you. But I guess not. Maybe it's just like a glitch in the Matrix.
That's funny. It's all the videos that people are like, Oh, that's unfunny. I get from you,
right? But it levels everything out. You don't want to you want to throw heat every video every
every time. You are actually the reason why my tops are so low, because the content that you provide me is so bad that I have to distract them because people just wouldn't follow me.
Your CPMs are down because of me. Right? It's true. I make less money because of the content I provide you.
I would say the worst thing that you've ever done to me is the bit. So Dan's whole existence is a bit everything that he does. Everything he says he wakes up in the morning lives the bed. He goes to sleep at night, within a bit
broken. Yes. I think our whole entire relationships probably a bit too. It is friendship relationship. Whatever
years of this friendship has been a bit. It's all bad.
It's a bit or it's me just being petty, right? And I'm just going to get you in the long run.
You're just feeding me bad content is actually revenge for being a bad friend.
Yeah, it's me just trying to sabotage you through and through. I'm like, I created this monster. I'm gonna take her down.
He knows trying to not self sabotage your club champion club champion will give you the best fitting clubs of all time because you don't want to play like damn, you want to play like me? Why know how you can play like me? You play like me by getting some good fitted clubs. Dan, have you been fit a club champion? Definitely not. Because you don't listen to anything I say. And you should go Get Fit Club champion. You can use my code page too, because we all have a discount. So you want to play like me? You want to get some clubs that fit you right? Go to club champion, head over there right now play better golf.
That's a professional ad reader out there. Look at that.
Honestly, it's so unfortunate that no one is still listening to this podcast, because that was one of the best ad REITs I've ever done.
You're welcome. That's your communications degree that you never got just really shine.
That's actually true. Most people don't know this about me. But I never graduated from college. It's it's like stated everywhere that I graduated from San Diego State. But I actually didn't graduate. I was a semester short. And that's when I went viral. Thanks, Dan. And I was supposed to go back for my last semester and be the assistant coach for the women's golf team. And I ended up just not going back and doing this instead. So yeah, I have no degree, which is so funny, because I go to every time I go to like a doctor's office, and they are like, questioning me on like what I do, and they asked us questions, and they're like, so Paige, what's the highest? You know, degree that you received? Yes. Do that doctor's office. They do and I go I high school, high school, and then they go What's your relationship status? Divorced? What is your job? Self Employed. But what do you do? I'm an influencer. And then after all of that they look at me with such pity, like such pity. And then they're like, oh, so what's what prescriptions do you use? I don't know. I have to call my parents. Like, I sound so pathetic. Going through these doctor's appointments. And then I had to use this new card and my card got declined. And this guy was like, Oh, honey, like happens to the best of us. Like, sorry, you're just describing
like the woman that I should have eventually ended up with right? If I've never left Delco if I never left Philadelphia, I'm and I'm ended up with a hairdresser for a wife. Right? And she has like two multilevel marketing schemes. She's doing like Bath and Bodyworks she's doing what does that Mary Kay or whatever. You know, I'm working the docks down on the Delaware River. And you know, I come home, she hates me. She doesn't there's no love in that relationship. She throws in like frozen lasagna into the oven. She over coax it out. Don't really complain. I took a fistful of pills. And that's, that's my life.
But the good news is that she was a hairdresser, she could dye your hair,
right. But I overcame that. And I got out of Delco. And now look at me, success hosting a History podcast several dozen people listen to,
they probably listen to your podcast more than anyone's gonna listen to this one. So at least you have that. You just completely ruin my podcast. So your scheme of self sabotage is finally it's complete. Like you don't know if they're gonna translate over to my podcast. Yeah, definitely not after this episode really sucked yourself there did not show up. Yeah, poor performance. Maybe I'll get it next time. If you're invited back, probably not. Enjoy your moment. It's over for you now. And thank you for ruining the show and for providing nothing funny or a value.
Well, I appreciate you having me. I appreciate you letting me just ruin whatever career you currently have going on. And yeah, check our software history. obscure, and, you know, obscure history podcasts that I do with my two friends that I've been doing for going on 100 Nate episodes now. So it's evergreen content and go back Listen, kind of pick and choose what you want to listen to a lot of good stuff there. I think actually better than this. Much better than this. But yeah, check it out software history as software history on Instagram software history on iTunes, Spotify, or you can find podcasts.
And you want to do you want to Pitch Anything else while you're here? While you're at it. Now okay, time's up. Thanks for coming on. Really appreciate it. Thanks, Paige. Yeah, thanks, Dan. If you guys enjoyed this episode, or this podcast, which I'm I don't know, who knows, at this point, really, you're really knows. You can give us five stars, you can subscribe to the podcast. And if you guys want to ask us any questions next time, go to the playing around Instagram account and send over some questions and we'll be doing TNA on the next episode. Seriously, though, Dan, that was so much fun. Thank you for coming on and explaining what the bid is because this whole this whole podcast was was a bit we don't actually hate each other. We are friends and I do appreciate you being on and I would enjoy that
probably describe you as like sleep paralysis demon that's trying to drag me to the Shadow Realm. But yeah, friend will go friend.
Yeah, I mean, it's not the first time I've heard that. Yeah,
I mean, I say to you all the time every day, every day. That's how I that's how I greet you every morning. Be like Monster of my nightmares. Good morning,
and good night. Goodbye, guys.
