second problem with the seconds any discussion? Commissioner Bernard?
Commissioners, if you deprive both of these officers of their income, these children know the officers will have any health insurance and they will become homeless. It makes no sense to for us to move on his matter prior to it being adjudicated. Where all the facts come out. All of the evidence comes out. And there's an independent analysis of what happened. We don't know. We do know that this is a family and that this is a serious matter. And that, in my view, anyway, we should not take this action prior to that In a clear determination of all the facts and circumstances, in this case, if you want this family's income to go to zero, then we take this action, because that's what's going to occur. You can make people into criminals, just by the actions that we take. And let me suggest that that would not be a good idea. We have people that have special needs, that we know about in this in this family, medically and otherwise. So I urge you to vote against this recommendation.
Any further discussion? Commissioner Bill,
Mr. Chairman, family status, income sector sector has no bearing on the facts of this matter. We are charged a mandate to deal with the issue that brought before us at this particular time. We are pretty much putting into place other issues that we have no control over. That case would not indict in over a triple they all have a family. They all know we all have. But we understand that's a burden that you bear when you make your decision.
Just to be clear, we're not indicting anyone. Just two weeks. Chief recommendation, any further discussion? I just want to make clear that with information that was provided, there was a hope that we might delay this, which was the reason for my no vote in our initial proceeding, but seeing that my colleagues are ready to move forward on this issue. If there's any further discussion, we can move to a roll call please. Mr. Brown. terahertz. Yes.
Yes. Mr. Bernard? No. Mr. Bates? Yes. Yes. Mr. Bell? Yes. We should be more Yes. The word yes.
I would seven yes votes in one notebooks that motion passes. The chair in our interface a motion to enter into closed session pursuant to section eight A of the Open Meetings Act MCL 15 268. So support the move in secondary discussion. Hearing no discussion, all those in favor, please signify by saying aye. All those opposed, no. All right, the eyes have it and Motion passes. We'll take a five minute recess even at recess taking my sit, close session.
