Welcome to Tuesday Tip episode of Thrive by design, I wanted to pop in here today to give you a quick tip that you can use to advertise your products this holiday season. Hey there, it's Tracy Matthews. I'm the host of the show. And I'm excited to be here talking a little bit more about advertising. Again, we are going deep. You know a lot of people have been asking me about this and I have put off talking too much about advertising. And you know what, I just decided to give you what you want, because everyone wants to know how they can start running some ads even on a low budget. And if you're someone who wants to DIY, I'm going to share with you an exciting opportunity where you can join us to dig a little deeper to run ads for yourself. So if you want to learn about that, stick around till the end of the episode. So today, we're gonna make this one a quick one. A lot of people wonder how do I get started with advertising when I have a small budget and I'm not I'm technically challenged. And I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to holistic marketing strategy in the first place. But I know I do want to get some ads up. Now one of the simplest ways to get started with advertising is to think through the lens of retargeting. Basically what retargeting means is you're retargeting the people the traffic that lands on your website with ads. And the ads can be anywhere they can be on other platforms like Pinterest, Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, all those. Also they can be on Google. So retargeting ads are everywhere. And if you've ever been on basically what it is, is like if you've been on a website, and then you leave that website, and all of a sudden you see an ad either for another similar brand that you just saw, or you see an ad for the thing you just looked at on that website. That is a retargeting ad. So one of the best ways to do this in light of the iOS updates, because a lot of people can opt out of getting retargeted these days is that you can take your list of email subscribers, ideally, you want to take your list of purchasers, upload those to the ads platforms that you're going to be running ads on. So whether it's Facebook and Instagram, and then serve ads to the people who have been on your website who have purchased from you before or who have opted in to be on your email list. Now retargeting advertising is one of the cheapest ways to actually get physical products and a conversion ad in front of the people who want to buy from you. On the episode right before this I had to call Diedrich on the show. And she talked about retargeting a little bit on that show. And one of her favorite strategies for running Facebook and Instagram ads is to start with lead ads. That just means you're building your email list with paid advertising, which is a great tool if you get the targeting right and all those things. But then she also talked a little bit more about retargeting ads. So what I really want you to think through, how can I get more people to my website, because the whole thing that Nicole even talked about is that we need enough traffic on our website to actually make a difference. Like if we don't have the traffic, we're not going to make the online sales. It's just like anything. And so you have to always be building that audience. And retargeting ads are a great way to do that. So if you're thinking about getting started with ads, there's a lot of apps out there that integrate with platforms like Shopify, but you can also easily set this up in your ads manager. And as Nicole mentioned in the episode 373, that you can also if you're using a platform like Klaviyo or omnisend. And she mentioned another one other one, that you can automatically have your email list import to the ads manager so that when you get new email subscribers, you're always retargeting them. And it's a great strategy to get started with, which is exciting. All right, so we are hosting a brand new accelerator. It may have in the past at some point, but I've never seen it happen like that you need a marketing strategy. And you need to be leaning into content, SEO and paid ads to do this the right way. And so we're going to talk about or we're going to teach you how to you create a holistic system, so that you're continually month by month by month, building the traffic to your website, increasing that conversion rate, and getting more sales with everything that you're doing.
