He is the he's the squash fellow of all Hogwarts participants. And actually, when fee was visiting me because we spent some time together, she asked to be photoed with a cardboard cutout of Hagrid that was in a local market.

Oh my gosh, I didn't know that. Tells me every other 50 million things that you guys did together and I was the FOMO was real.

We we did a lot but you know, we had a week and we tried to literally fit everything into that week. But it's literally it's what do you imagine is gonna happen? I was and I was telling you earlier like it's been a joy to like I appreciate so much that you were able to record with some other hosts and we were able to get at least some things out because I literally moved out of my house middle of June of last summer. And the last time we recorded anything together was in August and then released late August, September. What However, and then I haven't done anything besides editing some, you know, things until finally what was it and made ever like end of February that we finally moved into our house and it's just like, holy crap that was such a long time and I'm so happy to be back and so excited but getting to edit but episodes with you and others like especially like the last What was the last one with you and Jeff, on? What was it? Oh, crap. Last one. You guys did? Goldfish brain. Yes.

What? Yeah, I can't remember if I don't know.

Something happened in that episode. Thank you, Jeff. I don't know. This is this was a great moment right now. The most recent release, we had you and fi doing crack. And I love that two out of the three chips. You discussed. You mentioned that I gave the UID the you the idea? And of course, like I'm listening to this and you're like, Yeah, this is the thing that she her idea. And you read it verbatim and I was like, I don't remember that happening at all because it was so like your like Petunia and Minerva and like the cat and the milk and I'm like, okay, yeah, that probably would be my spontaneous in the moment. Like, come up with a prompt thing. But I'm like, was like actually,

can you can you help if you come up with so many good ideas that you don't even remember?

there were so many. I've, I've enjoyed working with every single guest host. And I think they would tell you that we all had a fantastic time. But can I just say there is no substitute for having you back? Right now. This is my like, happy moment because I have I've just missed riffing with you. It's been so long, we got into a nice groove. We really found our rhythm with this. And we would you know, record every other Sunday, and I would look forward to it. Like we said to each other, you know that it's our highlight of our bi weekly highlight, you know, and not getting to do that with you was a painful readjust. Oh,

it was it was so bad. I mean, and even like, during the time, like I didn't really have much inspiration for writing and stuff. Like when you're just in an environment that isn't yours like you even as long as we were there. Like I couldn't really get or feel like comfort or comfortable. I mean, it was fine. Like it was great. You know, Zach's parents were fine, and you know, all of that. And it was as far as if we're not going to live at home. This is the perfect you know, thing. XX

So this is this is really fun. Okay, so this morning, I recorded Snapchat, which I told you about, luckily to get all the you know, the wiggles out. And so then luckily we wrapped things up just in time because his parents were like, Oh, do you want to meet us for lunch? And initially my husband was like, Okay, I will you know I can meet you make this recording and whatever. And then it wrapped up so I was like, Oh, great, I can join you. And because he had even said like, my you know, makes this recording. And so then Zach's like okay, you know, just a minute we'll leave as soon as Max Megan puts pants on. And his dad goes Oh, naked podcasting. Is this to booster I'm like, Oh my gosh, no, I didn't go it didn't go

maybe it should not something we should consider.

And of course I see it when we're at the restaurant. Like I didn't see the message until like, I mean, cuz it was still on doing it just Do Not Disturb for when I was recording earlier. And it was I was just I was laughing. I'm like, Oh my gosh, I cannot believe.

I wonder if people sound different when they don't have any patents on. Ai. Maybe there should be like a scientific study done into this. I

count Anyone know especially patrons watching this video like how do you know we have pants? Like how do you really know that we have

been going pantless this entire time? Maybe I'm not wearing any pants right now. And that should frighten anyone.

going commando is is is a is a style choice. And it's something that I will go on camera and defend to a bunch of very lovely strangers right now. I suppose the way to get around that is to do like to not wear a shirt and a recording. So you know, I'm not wearing an item of clothing, but all you would see is hair like I'm very, and I don't know that our video watchers will want to see this. You know, not everybody likes body. I mean, sure we've just described Hagrid as a squishy mellow. I mean, Hagrid also had the virtue of being a giant with giant features and I definitely am not. That's not who I am.

Anyway, pants are on at least at least this this corner. But

indeed confirm that I'm wearing pants and jeans today. And if listeners if you want that to change. Maybe that can be arranged. I don't know. I

Okay, pin on my job. So read in what was it in November, I happened to be let go of my job. I mean, it's a time of I mean, there was nothing wrong with me, I'm amazing. But it just, you know, cut backs and things like that. So which was fine. It was I mean, my job was fine. I enjoyed it. I love to I worked with Tracy miss you. But it was definitely something that I wanted to move on from at some point. But I didn't know how without, you know, you don't want to burn bridges or like, especially when they like allowed me to move to Florida and still work for them. And I mean, they did a lot of great stuff for me, which was awesome. So them being like, setting me free was like the best, you know, the best thing and whatnot. So now I'm working on you know, doing the freelance and working remotely from home, which will be so much better and which I'm really excited about. So that's, you know, getting moving there. But because I am not going to a way to work and being like going to work and coming home and late and yeah, blah, blah, I was able to apply and was accepted to be a graphic designer for Muggle met. And I am so excited about.

See, you sent me you sent me this. And initially, my brain didn't know how to process what I was reading. Because I was like this is bound to be like, a troll thing or a fake thing or something. And then and then I reread it and I was like No wait makes does graphic design. This is what you this is your bread and butter. I was like this is real. Yeah. Oh, I'm Jay, I was so excited for you. So I immediately had so many questions. And then I was I was just my enthusiasm took over and they were just like, Okay, I want to ask you all the things, but maybe we should wait for episode of the podcast to discuss what this means. Or how you will be even further contributing to a fandom that you know and love.

I mean, it's just, I mean I haven't even started yet I still have to do my you know, like, like welcome and meet everybody and all that stuff and but I'm just just to be a part of the fan website is just the coolest thing ever. Like I just have all the things that I could do you know, fandom wise is like, that's just oh my gosh, like that's just so cool. And and I'm glad that it's like a positive fandom space especially with how things are very, you know, obviously what they are within the fandom right now. But then being openly you know, pro supportive, you know, trans like fans in general is just awesome. I'm so I'm so excited to be a part of that and help maintain the positivity of fandom. For those that obviously want to stay here and feel safe here and have have built positive things for their life around fandom, which is really great. So I'm just like, I can't I mean, I can't believe that this that I got to this point that I'm able to do this thing. It just feels like a really it. I mean, it is a big deal. Like everyone I told was like, freaking out, which is awesome. Like, I just so I'm excited. So that's the thing that I'm also doing. And I've just added to the list of, you know, all the Harry Potter stuff that I do. I need to set up a co five for like tipping, like if people don't like, like, when people are like, Oh my gosh, makes you do so much for fandom. I'm like, Yes, this exhaust.

But No, but seriously, I love I mean, obviously I love Harry Potter, and I love fandom and all the people I've met and I love you. And this is great. And so one more thing to do. But so yeah, so circling back, though, I'm excited to get back to shipping ship to

I should say the reason why we have something planned today is that this is our two year anniversary. Yes, that's

I thought you were done. And he's like, Yeah, I am. So what are you doing? I'm not a student anymore.

Eyebrow Wiggles. Yeah, I mean, obviously, they have the opportunity they have the time presumably, she although she is going to getting hit on by everyone. So so it gets doubly interesting whenever you try whenever you talk about the fact that she's presumably fighting off other suitors to stick with PETA. Or you know, maybe she's polyamorous, but she, she's like, she has a preference for PETA. which then makes me think actually, maybe this is my bias feeding into this maybe I'm just reading Peter in too cynical a light. And that is what made me find this very interesting in the beginning. Because, you know, obviously we know what happens in canon and stuff, but maybe in an AU where no betrayal happens, and PETA isn't as tortured. And actually, we see him as being like the secret glue that holds the marauders together. And actually he covers up for a lot of their mistakes and shenanigans, which is of course exhausting. So then he's going to need some confetti and when where does he go to his craft? Yes, so yes, actually, I've come round on this I'm yeah, this is what this podcast has always done to me and it's just done it again with our very first ones so yeah, actually 10 out of approved

And I'm imagining that his you know, as he, as he d ages, it becomes very much more of a pan 10 commercial, you know, he has a long, lustrous Lion's Mane, both bond over having really perfect hair. And actually, maybe they strike up a conversation about what conditioners to use. And the rest is history. And, you know, I think Rufus must be quite internationally minded to be so ministry driven, and have to deal with so many wizards and witches on a daily basis, so he's got to know languages. So I don't imagine that there would be a culture barrier there or a language barrier. I imagine he probably goes on cute little visits to France. I think, actually, if you're if you're aging, Rufus down or you age, I forgotten her name. Gabrielle, Gabrielle, if you Oh, you age Gabrielle up that Husted, that has to obviously, we don't know a lot about Gabrielle, but this gives us a lot to play with in terms of character, you can turn her into whoever you want. She could be dark sided. There could be angst in this relationship. There's just so much to play with. So yeah, pretty good.

For me, I imagined so remember, he's like, he's killed, but all we know, is like, they get the Patronus that says scrimshaw is dead. Like, we don't necessarily know, like, when and how, and by who sort of thing just that it happens, you know, the coup happened. So what if the person who was in charge, like was in the ministry, you know, be someone imperialist, or whatever, that somehow was able to fight it? Like, they didn't want to kill him. So instead, they like obliviated him and put them in a situation where like, he didn't remember who he was, so he wouldn't be found sort of thing. And then like, was, like, fled to France or something like that. So then later

Yes, okay. Yeah, I guess if he forgets this memory. Otherwise, Gabrielle, like her sister could come and work at the ministry to improve her English too. So there could have been some crossover there and things like that. And so yeah, anyway, alright. So let's move on.

And, like, let's say that she and Vernon end up getting divorced because of her either. Like, because of because of Dudley's change of heart. She finally comes around and has a change of heart regarding Harry and magic and that sort of thing. And Vern and I could see very set in his ways and his prejudices and stuff like that. So then she actually in some fashion becomes a part of the wizarding world again, for you know, whoever, whatever reason, who even knows, and like that's, you know, meets pansy and that sort of thing. And it just, I just think that that, I mean, that could happen to Petunia ended up in the wizarding world and they met one another and yeah, so, there you go. That's

yeah, I kind of was going along a similar line with this. In my head, though. Pansy. Parkinson is giving Petunia secret magic lessons, because she knows that Petunia has she gets she she so pansy doesn't like Harry, as we know canonically they like they don't get on. So I imagine that that pansy is going to do whatever she can. She's resourceful and she digs into His family dynamics and she finds out why That's got to be the most annoying thing that could, you know, make his blood boil. So I think as in an attempt to annoy hurry, she finds Petunia and she's like, Oh, I got when that you're, you know that you always wanted to come to Hogwarts, but you were, you know, unsuccessful or whatever. And that didn't develop, but I, but for whatever reason, let's say Dumbledore was just being terrible today. Whatever reason, let's say he just he just decided that Petunia couldn't come to Hogwarts for reasons but really she she did have some latent magical ability. So, pansy then teaches her to harness it and they start you know, having lessons together, but then it becomes because of the you know, the intimacy required for that then it becomes more and so I would really love to read that and or see it

Be be anywhere really and they could be some sort of like support for Harry to some capacity because they are committed to Him and things and sort of that sort of thing and Perry is going to help you know Andromeda or whoever like help with Teddy and things like that and whatnot so could be a ghost romance or could be some you know, time travel sort of thing so it's yeah, there's a lot of stuff there or no one dies a you everyone loves a no one dies a huge Well, this

And because she's, you know, she's providing a service to the wizarding world, a lot of these poor people, you know, they marry so young, some of them have to be so you know, unfulfilled or unhappy. She's, you know, she's providing an outlet for people. And, you know, and making them coins, making them galleons while she's doing it. Anyway, while Colin is then you know, initially roped in to do the sort of just the, you know, take the pictures or whatever, then it becomes that the two of them through working closely together, they develop more of an intimacy, obviously, this is an AU in which nobody dies, which I love. But I could I really see that happening. But again, maybe this is just more of a comment on the way my brain is wired rather than that is

So the Flint's you, no one can assume would be obviously, like very proud, pureblood family or something like that. What if they were like, it was like an arranged marriage, a you sort of thing. And so then they ended up, you know, together sort of thing or he becomes a Quidditch star sort of thing. And for whatever reason, it's always fun when we like, take like a villain like surprise. Bellatrix is like the biggest like Quidditch fan ever. Like even though she's like, she's going out and like torturing and murdering Muggles. And then she goes home, turns on the Muggle Telly hilarious. And it's like watching like football and Quidditch, and it's just this total sports fan, and no one knows about it, and she would tell no one. And so then she just happens to go to some pureblood party, or maybe she knows his parents, and then it just something goes from that or if he was someone who was actually recruited into the Death Eaters, like we never really know that he was involved in anything Death Eater related. Um, maybe he has, like, it could be just like a crush that like he actually like, really admires her and does like, you know, like, really, like, you know, falls for her because he sees her as this like really strong, self driven important person in the, you know, in the fight for whatever and that sort of thing. And so, yeah,

yeah, I absolutely see a universe where he knows of her through Draco. And so, you know, he's, he's grown up admiring her and whatever else, but I also see that sort of private tutor II thing happening where it's like, you know, it's almost like teacher and student, but she's not really a teacher, a Hogwarts but she's, you know, like, well versed in the dark arts, obviously, it could be you.

So going back to our Flintwood episodes, and even the Flintwood fanfic, we talked about how like, you know, Flint is troll like or he's dumb, like the best thing he has for himself is Quidditch and mussels and whatever. And so like his so he is like, you know, kind of like a fan and interpretation is that like he has dyslexia that's like, obviously, Hogwarts and magical environments aren't very like, like access, you know, accessibility friendly or like have support for people. You know, yeah. So that could be something where she notices that he needs a little extra instruction or direction. And that's like one of, you know, an instance where she actually has a little bit of compassion be that maybe she struggled with something when she was younger, and she was afraid that she wasn't going to become anything great. And when she did that made her all the more determined and proud. So then, that could have been a situation where she sort of takes him under her wing to, like, help him become a stronger, you know, wizard and have more than just, you know, Quidditch.

Yeah, yeah, I'm the, this is the thing about these characters that we hardly ever see, except through Harry's lens, is that I'm sure there is more to him than Quidditch, it's just like, I'm sure there is more to Bellatrix than just being a villa Ness. These, these are rounded, you know, characters that have so much potential. And I think it's equally arguable that they could also bring out each other's softer sides, you know, the, because they, you know, know each other through pure blood families or whatever. So, they're not going to be as performative for each other as they might be for a public audience. And so there's potential there for it actually, to be secretly quite sweet. Even if to the exterior world it has to be this you know, formal or very performative thing that they have going on between

all right, I have something that's actually really like potentially very sweet or whatever. I mean, I'm, I love this ship, and I don't read enough of it. This is Draco Malfoy and Gregory Goyle. Oh, my

But the reason obviously, the reason this works is first of all, they have they share a dormitory that the same age, they hang around all the time. So that all like the access is there. And I feel as well, this feeds into what I was saying about perception, and, you know, a formality and stuff in that this has the potential to be really sweet between the two of them, where, you know, because of because Draco has to maintain his, you know, extra personality to the rest of the world. He's really, he's like, you know, being like, oh my god, what are you still doing here goil to the rest of the world, but then secretly in private, I could see a lot of conversations between them being like, oh my god, I'm so sorry. I had to say, like, breaks my heart every time and and he's like, No, it's fine. I understand you have an image to maintain and they have that like, and it's just so like, Okay, this is where my fluffy sounds got to emerge and just want them to be you know, two big cuddly cuddle monsters that just curled up on the sofa

and I'm gonna go a little hurt comfort angsty and be postwar because of course they they both joined the Death Eaters along with crab and of course like went through their own traumatic experience of dealing with you know, the, the death eternus And then of course, crab dies so they lost one of their long closest friends. So it's kind of like going into like, I always go back I was like, oh, what we talked about in other episodes Well, it's like it's irrelevant, but like after Fred died and how like George and Angelina might like come together and like help each other through mourning sort of thing is like or George really with anybody you know anyone that's like when you've lost somebody to help you you know, come together and grow from it. I could see them coming together after the fact and finding their you know, their their new future like together and being a support for one another.

Yeah, I love that. I actually love that and I always love thick that like I really don't mind hurt as long as we get to the conflict as long as the conflict is like the good conflict the good resolution. And, yeah, they've both been through literally the wall. So and last one of their literal best friends who they've been attached at the hip too. But we could also potentially in the episode talk about them as a triple that's true. Hey, Draco and crap and I don't know why more isn't written or why I haven't seen more of this written, maybe because it's obvious maybe because like, you know, Harry, Ron and Hermione are always hanging out together. A true hero is a you are a hero for our time and I salute you painting it just generally. Like I know I need to get my floors redone because there's like a massive hole in my living room. And I just need to get it re re so yeah, because my like so I use a wheelchair for anybody who doesn't know I'm assuming that you knew if you if you're a regular listener and like front tire co a giant section of my like lie no in the living room because it got flat. So that sort of was like a huge hole in my living room floor and I need to redo them, but I've been putting it off because I don't want to move all my furniture it's such a huge every time I look at that hole, I'm just like, oh my god, I can't Yeah, so I definitely feel so much sympathy for you having done all that housework is enough it is enough to make you die and then come back and have a ghost romance with your product back.

I was also thinking so like so that was it. So they so everyone lives Yeah, blah blah. So Colin wasn't supposed to stay because it was you know, students who weren't were of age and he was technically what 16 Because he was like a year behind Harry right? Because it was because he came in the second movie. Yes. So yeah, so he would have been 16 maybe about to be of age but wasn't yet so he wasn't supposed to stay or like or Colin did and then it was Dennis that wasn't supposed to be there or whatever I don't quite remember. But so it could have been like Fred and Colin could have been together as far as like fighting Death Eaters or like supporting you know one another like in some fashion and or during the time that that everyone was staying obviously in the Room of Requirement I don't remember if Colin was one of the all the people that was staying there whatnot and then the Weasleys might have like, you know, come and gone or Fred would come with like they would come with treats and things and like and various like probably like joke items so the They could set traps and stuff for the the Death Eaters and stuff like that and so then maybe they got to know each other you know to that capacity on more like friendly level and then over over time because I could see Colin and Harry growing to have like an like a genuine friendship later on because of course when you're 11 and just annoying like you're just kids are are mean or weird and you're just gonna be like, Oh, I don't you know, I already have my friends I don't need another friend and then as soon as you get older you're like, I don't have enough friends like am I not cool

Yes, I really yeah the potential here for some some comfort for the both of them coming through the war if they survive having seen potentially so many other people die anyway, maybe Dennis died, and Colin survived him. And George died but Fred survived him. So they've both got like sibling survivor guilt or something. And they both sort of bond over that, but then it becomes something much more intimate because they realize that their their feelings go beyond just, you know, missing someone that they you know, that they grew up with, essentially.

I love that. All right, so I have one that I think could be could be fun just because of we have li Jordan, and Madam hooch. Oh, why is this so perfect? So like, you just know, like, McGonagall obviously is like super annoyed by his commentary, like, from the very beginning is just like, not into it. And I could see that I could see madam hooch thinking, it's absolutely hilarious. Like, she wouldn't show it because she's gonna have like, her cold set, you know, face of like, I'm here to do my job and refereeing I'm, you know, whatever. But at the whole time, she probably thinks that it's the funniest thing, you know, ever. And then yeah, I could see him becoming a, you know, like, I wonder if like wizard pubs and stuff might have, like, comedians and stuff, like, I don't see why they wouldn't if there's wizard rock bands and stuff like that. And I mean, people like to laugh. So it's not like it's a Muggle exclusive thing. Like, I could see Lee Jordan getting into, you know, comedy to some extent, like, especially like with the twins, like, between the how they riff, you know, off each other and, and things like that, I could, I could definitely see that maybe she loves comedy. And that's something where, like, she'll go somewhere, hoping no one like knows who she is. And it's the first time that she can, quote unquote, let her hair down and just, you know, relax, either with friends or things like that. And then it's like, oh, my gosh, it's Lee. Like, I remember him from when he was at Hogwarts and whatever, and how funny he was. And so that's just and then you're like, oh, my gosh, Madam hooch fancy, you know, seeing you here and then you just start talking. And, you know, they might like see each other every, you know, comedy night or something like that. And then things grow from there or something like that.

Yes, I so I want to build on this and I want to go slightly a human that. I'm imagining that. So lean, Li Jordan starts to notice that whenever he's not attending Hogwarts anymore, everyone reports that like madam hooch is really down. She's like, not been seen for several games, she like has been spotted when nobody thinks she's looking just flying around the pitch by herself. And she's really, like, really, really lonely. But I also imagine that she's a Taylor Swift Fan in this universe. And so one daily Jordan just like, operates into the comment on commentary box, and she hears from across the Quidditch pitch. She's like lygus like, it's me. Hi. Um, the problem is and so immediately, she turns justice and they're reunited and I and then you know, romance blossoms from there. I mean, what more could you possibly

want and I could also see Lee being the person who's like hot for teacher and she's just like, the whole time like yeah, Lee Absolutely. being ridiculous. You're far too young for me like this is you need to cut it out. And he's like that total. It makes me think of Mamma Mia. Like, it's like, like, we're like the guys like hitting on. Oh. And obviously, Barty Crouch Jr, is doing it because he's railing against his father, and the sort of tyranny of his very, very constrained upbringing. It's conceivable to me that they would both, you know, Rita's looking for her angle and Barty Crouch Jr. is looking for a way to escape that is a little bit dangerous. Maybe he enlists her help in exchange for you know, sort of, if you will state secrets because at one point Barty Crouch senior is very high in the ministry is tipped for minister. So here's like, I can get you all of this, you know, really good info and be like a leak for you. If you sneak me out of the house, and you know, get me out from under lock and key. So it has all the thrill of the sort of, you know, returning up on a motorcycle at midnight and honking Barty Crouch Jr. You know, climbing out without the bedroom nice to be like take me away. what if they went to I don't like I can't remember if we figured out hold Rita was but what if they went to Hogwarts together and had like a Hogwarts romance because what was it isn't she kind of said to maybe be a Ravenclaw and people headcanon Bardi as a Ravenclaw. to Paul, well, we're gonna do a few of them both being Ravenclaws. And actually, like, we're really close making friends and then you know, dated and whatnot. And then things you know, sort of happened. And but yeah, but I also love the idea of Rita obviously, like, when Bharti stops coming to the ministry, obviously, she wants to Snoop and find out anything and she has her secret and omegas ability. And so she's like, literally just a little beetle on the on the windowsill of the the crouch house, and then she discovers that Barbies there. And maybe like, they had parted ways on poor terms, or like, he vanished, and she didn't know what happened to him sort of thing. And so that was like them kind of coming back together. And then her having to teach her that line of I mean, she, she she already does, like as far as like, her motivations aren't good, but they're not necessarily evil, you know, sort of thing. So it's like, she's definitely morally ambiguous in that sense, but I could see her, you know, moving in a direction of finding a way to like, support, you know, her friend, slash ex lover slash, once again, love her sort of, you know, sort of thing to, to, especially during that time coming afterward, like if he wasn't, you know, obviously didn't receive the kiss or, you know, something like that, like, once Harry becomes like, you know, undesirable number one sort of thing, and she can use her editorial skills to her, you know, benefit, I guess.

Definitely, I also see the potential of her rescuing him from the Death Eaters, like before he's ever recruited, she recognizes that because they're close or whatever. She recognizes that he's potentially going down a dark Avenue. And she, because of her journalistic connections, is able to I'd know get him to a safe house or, like you say, if they went to Hogwarts together, she's got to know that he has these darker proclivities. But I think it's also possible that if he had, you know, a whirlwind romance, that all of his attention might not be on. Oh my god, I have to be, you know, I have to escape the yoke of my oppressive family. I can I can, you know, have a whirlwind romance with Rita as opposed to, you know, running into the arms of deeply sauce. Dark organization.

Like she's ready to like, dress to the nines, do her hair, get her makeup done, like have you know, she's going to stand out when she sees her ex girlfriend and she's gonna be like, Look, but you're missing. I mean, meanwhile, had grits like, I'm in love and they're like, she is so gay that you like you're adorable Hagrid, but

yeah, yeah. And, you know, oh, maybe maybe mother, Maxime is pub. And she likes everybody. And regardless, she's a she's a fan of the wine or not the labor, you know. And it's conceivable because she's described as really beautiful, that a lot of people would really like her. And so I love this idea, though, that Minerva and I met earlier that when they were younger, and then they meet again at the Triwizard Tournament later on, and all of these feelings rushed for both of them, but they don't because of the characters that they are. They don't immediately acknowledge that anything is going on. Everything is very almost slapstick, with being so stoked. comedically like yes, yeah, it's so dramatic, honestly. And Draco is loving this from the sidelines. And he was just like I am living. But then of course, they meet in a broom closet. And there's there's like a whole space like size kink thing. And Cormac would pursue something with Narcissa because she's already established, as you know, having visited wizarding pedigree if we want to call it that, you know, as much as I hate classes terminology, and I think it needs to die. If we're if we're existing in this in this bubble right now, he is, you know, turned on and animated by the fact that she, you know, Malfoy Manor is this prestigious place. She is an incredibly talented witch. She is haughty and aloof and unattainable and, you know, the darling of wizarding society. And so for her to, you know, be matched with him in any way is a massive coup for him. But also that makes him Preen his family and he's very, you know, suddenly he becomes even more, you know, you know, leaning into his own flamboyance. And I just love this for them. I think it would, I think, in a way, it brings out both of their most toxic character traits. But I You love to see it, you know, in the world of this fanfiction. I

hear, I love the like, kind of like the scene or whatnot. Like, like in the movies, he's portrayed as, like, obviously doing very suggestive things towards Hermione and like, you know, things like that, like, if they're at a party, and he's like, has his you know, like wineglass or you know, drink or whatever. And he's just like, running his tongue along the edge or like, you know, like holding her eye contact and just doing you know, all these things and of course, she's just like, you know, she's just like, it's like to have you know, the interest of a handsome you know, young like, it's just, I just I love that scene of like her at a party trying to like not notice, you know, and she's looking beautiful in her like, gorgeous like cocktail dress and low scooped back like she's gonna look fantastic sort of thing and she's, you know, and then so that's just I just, I am definitely here for the possibility of you know, Lucius not really being a present like, partner like with off Yes, exactly. He says Arthur so so. So nurses says very lonely and she's like, Oh, so this you know, young thing is interested in me why not?

What if Ron is like secretly loving this for his mother but he has to pretend to be horrified because of all of that because Okay, so you know, he's known coal map from school, but he kind of so if rather than her mining together in this, the he already feels like he has the upper hand. because he's ended up with who he loves. So there's no real, there's no real hard feeling there, even though he has to sort of pretend to keep that up. But then okay, but then he sees how happy nurses are, is making his mother. And as much as they're supposed to be like bad blood between the Malfoys and the Weasleys. It's actually secretly really wholesome, because he sees how she's like, Molly's becoming this totally different person. And really, like she's throwing herself even more into her, you know, self development, and he loves this for her because it's not just about you know, cooking for the family, or, you know, why have you, you know, got long hair today, or why are you wearing a fanny ring or whatever. She's less obsessed with them. The spotlight is off the Weasley children because Molly's Gabby, and Ron secretly loves this, but he has to be seen to be keeping up the appearance of you know, Malfoy. I love the idea that this actually brings them all closer together secretly. But none of them is acknowledging this apart from Molly, who's just who can't hold her own water.

So then that's when Slughorn would obviously have retired and maybe it was like Slughorn and it was it sprout right sprout salad corn and Jelani slow corns sprout. So so a salad corn and sprout could have had, you know, something casual or, or serious or something like that, like back when he was first a teacher like from Tom Riddle era through Marauder era and, and whatnot, until he was done. But then when he comes back, like maybe toolani, like, either knew him from being a student herself, you know, at Hogwarts, and was like another like, crush on teacher sort of thing. And then when he comes back to start, you know, teaching, she's like, Oh my gosh, it's the potions Professor sort of thing. And what if this was like the new circumstances it was sprout and toolani were in a relationship. So it was like sprouts X came into the into the mix. And then Tolani also had a crush on him when she was in school. And then she they both confess about their mutual still having feelings ish for this man. And then they kind of open the door of opportunity for him and who is he going to? You know, say no to two wonderful, you know, women so yeah, I love that.

You pretty much said word for word, but I was gonna say just incredible. I just love the fact that so clearly, Trelawny and sprout have bonded over their sense of keen fashion. Right. And so and Slughorn loves this, he's like, he is like, he just loves that these are two women that are uniquely themselves and sees something of the pride that they have in just being happy in their own skin and loves what you know, wants to love that for himself, too. He's an older guy by this stage, but you know, by the time that they're both at Hogwarts, and I think he would be kind of thinking to himself, oh, you know, maybe my best years are behind me. Maybe he's had like a couple of romances like a while ago but, but for one reason or another, they they found apart or, you know, he's not really he thinks of his love life in terms of nostalgia and looking backwards, but then all of a sudden, and rekindling this thing with with one of them, he realizes that okay, I actually don't want to break them up I just want to be a part of what's already happening. This is it's so synchronistic though that three professors were just randomly generated together of all of the possibilities characters we could have gotten. This was so uncursed I always am slightly nervous whenever we do threes. I mean, our gold cable thing. So I'm waiting for that to happen to be honest.

So actually, when I got the second time around is a fantastic trip. Try and ship Hagrid. Minerva McGonagall. Gilderoy Lockhart.

Yeah. Loving it already. Okay, so we've already so we already did a hybrid episode where we talked about,

and we had a mock cart episode. So we had McGonigal and Gilderoy.

Yes, but what we don't what we haven't yet explored is the relationship between Minerva and Hagrid, we know there's a lot of love between the two of them. I really, I just really love the two of them together. I think there's a lot of affection there built up over the years. So this isn't one of those. I don't see it as one of those like passion taking over in the heat of the moment or a love at first sight thing. I think it's one of those times where, let's say it's after Hagrid has been outed as a giant by Rita Skeeter. And he's crying in his cabin. And he's not turning up to classes. And Minerva is kind of like head of timetabling and making sure like all of the stuff matters are taken care of

baby Headmistress. Of course, she's gonna do literally everything that Dumbledore is not doing because he's just, you know, floating around his office and figuring out how to use

Yeah, not destroying horcruxes and just generally being horrible. But congratulations of being really proud of your job also employing some deeply sauce people at your school that aren't good to be around children. But we're not here to talk about Dumbledore whatever McGonigal goes to Hagrid cabin. And Hagrid is feeling in a deep state of emotional vulnerability. I imagined that McGonigal transforms into caffeine so as to not to not be intrusive in a human way and she's just sort of going up to his window and looking inside to make sure he's okay. And so she sees that, you know, his shoulders are shaking, these big giant tears are rolling. So she then she goes into the cabin to investigate, but she finds out. So in this universe, Gilderoy for whatever fortuitous circumstance has his memory restored to him by this point, because who is waiting who is at the other side of the table that she didn't see from the window, but Gilderoy Lockhart Gilderoy is already consoling him. So she sees that he's already like getting some support. But of course because Gilroy is kind of conceited he's not really a he isn't good emotional support. He's just being like, oh, you know, my good man, you can't let that get in the way of your of your you know, will will repressed you will will mark it you as as you know, everybody's favorite fluff. And then so then Minerva gets irritated and she's like, Oh my God, she's rolling her cap is and so immediately she transforms and she's like, What are you doing? Gilderoy, this man is in deep emotional distress. You know, he needs something besides ego. Yeah. And then they then they have a fight in his cabin about how much they both love. Oh, no. And

they both have the best interest you know, where it's like he needs someone to like, talk about like the positive future and you just want him to wallow in self pity and whatever. And she's like, I just need him to like, sit in his feelings for the moment and accept staminodes Like, no, he needs to get out of this. He's been here for four weeks.

Exactly, exactly. And they both are, you know, claiming to have his best interests at heart. And I just see the conversation then suddenly, someone one of them has an epiphany on the like, Wait, why are we fighting here? That there's like a lot of love in this room. And and then then gilded rose like wiggling his eyebrows over and over and going like this isn't. And she just like, and she just, she's like, not expecting it. And all of this and so that kind of slowburn affection she's felt for Hagrid, and the like Russia feeling she feels for Gilderoy is like, reciprocated in totally different ways. But hybrids, meanwhile, is like really not sure what's going on. Because he has to transition very quickly from being really really upset to what the hell is going on. Then he's like looking at Fang like what's going on. But then, once he showed that people aren't going to start flinging spells at each other, then you know, items of clothing start coming off.

If I didn't know I now this I see it.

I just I think we've established on the pod before that you can really ship Gilderoy with anyone because he's essentially just a mirror with good luck. How great how good you can ship with anyone because he points out to us.

And what I wanted to say about Minerva and Hagrid just because like you said, we pretty much discussed the other you know too deeply on other episodes, but it makes me think of the fifth book when Umbridge is having Hagrid removed from the premises when he loses his job. And literally it takes like a bunch of ministry people to show up and are trying to like stun him and get him to leave and that's when he like obviously flees. But Minerva Of course, like comes to his aid and is trying to stop them and that's when she gets cursed and put in the hospital because she's hit by literally like, five stunning spells at once or something like that. So it shows that like, she's going to the aid of like, you know, one of the people that she loves most sort of thing because she's not going to stand by while that awful woman, you know, puts you know, puts drags her Haggard's you know, name through the mud and that sort of thing. And so that proves her like loyalty to him that she's willing to put herself in harm's way to protect him and yeah,

yeah, yeah, no, you're absolutely right. I'd forgotten about that scene until you mentioned it. And it is really touching and I think what if there's a scene what if someone were to write something where Hagrid and Gilderoy each go to mechanicals bedside as she's recovering? Yes,

there's this there's there's just this really sweet thing of like, maybe they're both like they've both pursued something with her romantically in the past. And they're at different stages. And then you know, one time they happen to come in together at the same time and it's like that their eyes meet across a hospital bed or whatever. And they realize that you there are feelings there that they've never considered because at the time they were both you know, Hogwarts professors and it was a totally different context. I see that happening as well and they see that there's there's just a lot of love a potential for love and love to go a lot of different ways with this. So and and I suppose the main will not necessarily the main blocker, but the main sort of reason to be a wet blanket about the ship would be Minerva because we always see her as really straight laced, and she's not involved with anyone canonically but we know that even in the fanfic that we read that and love way way back when she ends up with it and has an amazing time. So we've proven that Minerva can be with anybody as well and be you know, incredibly happy. So I Yes, I ship this I ship it and I don't care to quote out

it's gotten so much better. So I'm excited to actually be back back and to see where things will be going. And, and I'm excited, because I'll be going to GT Khan in August, beginning of August in Chicago, so I'm excited to do that. And I'll be part of the world visit the wizarding wireless collective, we'll have a table there, which is a bunch of different Harry Potter podcasts with Sequoia, put that together from a fanatical fics fics. So I'm excited about that. So that's going to be my first time doing LeakyCon I did put in submission for panels. But so far, I haven't heard anything back, we've noticed that they're trying to diversify it to be more like multi fandom, which I understand why they're trying to do that.
